Yama's Wedding
The Head of the Family has changed.
This has been the recent thought among the people at the Bandit Hideout. Ever since the Head of the Family returned in a daze, everyone could feel that something was different.
First, the children at the Bandit Hideout noticed that the Head of the Family no longer played with them. This left them clamoring to play with Sister Jun Ruo, causing headaches for everyone. But looking at the Head of the Family's state, who would dare to speak up?
Moreover, there seemed to be an impending storm hanging over the entire Bandit Hideout. Everyone felt a sense of unease.
“Mute Girl, make sure to eat more.” As soon as she stepped out of her room, Jun Ruo saw Old Five having a meal with Mute Girl.
She had never seen Old Five treat any girl like this before.
“Mute Girl, it's okay, I'm already full. Take your time eating,” Old Five said with a smile directed at Mute Girl.
Although Mute Girl couldn't speak, she persistently scooped food from her bowl into Old Five's.
Seeing this scene, Jun Ruo could only sigh. The world is indeed wondrous; even if things were to happen again, they would still unfold in a similar way. Just like now, even though everything felt different, Mute Girl and Old Five were still in love.
Jun Ruo recalled what Mo City had said to her; Mo City was that man.
When she was knocked unconscious by Mo City, she realized everything during her coma. She understood that she had already died! Jun Ruo let out a bitter laugh; no matter how unwilling she was to face reality, everything had already happened.
“Head of the Family, what brings you here?” Old Five caught sight of Jun Ruo from the corner of his eye and hurriedly stood up.
Mute Girl stood up as well, timidly positioning herself beside Old Five. Seeing her demeanor, Jun Ruo understood that Mute Girl was still afraid of him, just like in their past life.
“Old Five, do you want to marry Mute Girl?” Jun Ruo asked, looking at the pair before him. In his previous life, if it hadn't been for his mistakes, Old Five and Mute Girl would have lived happily together, and they wouldn't have met such a tragic end.
This time, even though everything was an illusion, Jun Ruo wanted to make amends for Old Five and Mute Girl within this facade.

Jun Ruo sighed inwardly. His own Old Five, while good in many ways, was just too straightforward. Everyone could see that Old Five had feelings for Mute Girl, and she trusted him unconditionally. In fact, Mute Girl only glanced at others when Old Five was present. Their mutual affection was evident to all, yet here was Old Five, oblivious to it all. If it were him—Jun Ruo pondered—what would he do? Wasn't it all the same?
“Old Five, does that mean you don't like Mute Girl?” It seemed he had to give them a little push.
Upon hearing Jun Ruo's words, Old Five looked up at him and then cautiously glanced at Mute Girl. He stammered even more, “I, I didn't mean that. I…”
Seeing the hopeful look in Mute Girl's eyes directed at Old Five, it was clear she still liked this fool. Obviously, his words hadn't satisfied her; a hint of insecurity and worry crossed her face.
“Well, if you don't like her, then I'll find a good match for Mute Girl. There are several people in the village who have their eyes on her; let me play matchmaker,” Jun Ruo exaggerated a bit for the sake of this budding romance.
As soon as he said this, Old Five's eyes widened in disbelief. “Who dares to take her?”
Mute Girl anxiously waved her hands beside her, making sounds of "ah ah ah ah."
Seeing Mute Girl in such a state, Old Five hurried over with concern and said to her, "Don't worry, I won't let anyone marry you."
The two anxious individuals were too preoccupied to notice what Old Five had just said, but Jun Ruo, who had been observing them, caught the words. It seemed that Old Five truly cared for Mute Girl. It was time for him to stoke the flames a little.
"Old Five, how about I play matchmaker? Do you think I dare?" Jun Ruo said with a serious expression, knowing that he was the only one who could take on this role for their sake.
"Head of the Family, you... you..."
Upon seeing Jun Ruo's demeanor, Old Five's confidence wavered. If it was Head of the Family, he certainly couldn't go against their orders. But what about Mute Girl? Could he really just stand by and watch her marry someone else? He couldn't bear that.
Mute Girl, noticing Old Five's distress, quickly grabbed his sleeve and shook her head at him, tears welling in her eyes as she expressed her unwillingness to marry anyone else.
Seeing Mute Girl like this, Old Five forgot everything else.
He embraced Mute Girl and declared to Jun Ruo, "Head of the Family, Mute Girl is mine; I want to marry her."
At this declaration, both Mute Girl and Old Five were stunned. Mute Girl looked at Old Five with a face full of happiness. Now that he had voiced his feelings, there was no reason for Old Five to feel shy anymore. He turned to Mute Girl and said, "Rest assured, you can only be my Wife."
Watching this scene unfold, Jun Ruo thought to himself that it would have been better if they had done this sooner; he had wasted so much time playing the villain.
"Hahaha, Old Five, a man should have such responsibility."
Old Five and the Mute Girl looked at Jun Ruo, who was laughing heartily, puzzled. Just moments ago, Jun Ruo had been talking about marrying the Mute Girl off to someone else, so why was he so happy now?
"Head of the Family, what is going on...?" Old Five asked in confusion.
"You all need me to push you like this to express your true feelings. As an outsider, I’m worried for you. But now, it seems there will soon be a wedding at the Bandit Hideout," Jun Ruo replied with a grin.
Old Five and the Mute Girl suddenly understood. It turned out that from the very beginning, Jun Ruo had no intention of breaking them apart. Old Five had almost been scared to death just moments ago, but now he and the Mute Girl felt relieved and happy.
"Head of the Family, you really scared me," Old Five said, still feeling a bit shaken as he patted his chest. If Jun Ruo had truly married the Mute Girl off to someone else, he wouldn’t have known what to do.
"Alright, you two will get married next month," Jun Ruo announced joyfully. Finally, he could give them a proper wedding.
"What? So soon?" Old Five was taken aback by Jun Ruo's decision; it seemed a bit too quick.
"What’s wrong? Don’t you want to marry the Mute Girl that quickly? There are many others who can’t wait," Jun Ruo teased mischievously.
"No, no, no! Next month is too late; I want to marry the Mute Girl right now!" Old Five hurriedly waved his hands. His words made both Jun Ruo and the Mute Girl laugh.
Jun Ruo looked at the happy expressions on Old Five and the Mute Girl's faces. How long could such happiness last? If it were possible, he would truly be willing to trade everything for it. (To be continued.)
