"Get out of here, it's about to be destroyed!"
At that moment, as the strange silver sphere transformed into a blue space, Long Ruofei shouted to everyone. In the next instant, her delicate figure turned into a blur as she dashed toward the Command Console, where Qin Guan was lying.
Hulk, hearing Long Ruofei's words, didn't have time to ask what was happening. He immediately activated his mechanical armor, which made a loud screeching sound as it moved.
At the same time, Hulk appeared before Ye Yu like a descending giant. He swiftly picked up the severely injured and unconscious Ye Yu and shot toward the exit. Hulk's massive form resembled a cannonball as he crashed through the door and raced toward the Escape Pod.
In that instant, the seemingly fragile Long Ruofei had already lifted Qin Guan and transformed into a shadow, closely following Hulk.
All of this transpired in just a few breaths. Meanwhile, within the blue space, the faint shadow had vanished, leaving only the thin assassin behind. He gazed at the energy wall surrounding him, which looked like a thin bubble, and frowned slightly.
"The Dragon Family really has many good things; what is this?" the assassin murmured to himself. But in the next moment, a gleaming dagger appeared in his hand. He hurled it toward the energy wall!
A barely audible sound echoed in the assassin's ear, and then something strange occurred! The dagger, which had seemed extremely hard, began to twist at its tip. In the blink of an eye, it had morphed into an irregularly shaped lump of metal!
While the assassin hesitated, he suddenly heard a series of twisting sounds beneath his feet! Then, a scene that made him shudder unfolded before him.
At that moment, the alloy floor beneath him bulged up, forming hill-like structures that continuously deformed as if they would break apart at any moment.
"This is... magnetic force..." The assassin seemed to realize something suddenly. His previously calm face turned pale as he desperately changed his hand movements.
Long Ruofei stood on the last Mountain-Class Battleship, her expression shifting between uncertainty and determination. According to the recent medical system's assessment, Qin Guan was fine; his injuries would heal with some rest. However, Ye Yu had sustained a massive energy impact throughout his body. If he were an ordinary person, he would have likely turned into a puddle of flesh by now. Although Ye Yu had exceptional physical resilience, he was still severely affected. There were no conditions aboard the ship to treat him properly, so they could only induce a deep hibernation state using nutrient fluids to prevent his condition from worsening.
"What was that weapon just now?" Hulk and Li Zhe had gathered around Long Ruofei, staring at the silvery-gray mass floating outside the screen. Hulk asked hoarsely.
Although Hulk had already informed the other team members aboard the ship, one of them had not managed to escape in time and was trapped inside that silvery-gray mass.
That mass was what remained of the Mountain-Class Battleship they had just escaped from; it had now become a piece of cosmic debris, its size reduced by more than ten times. The people inside could not possibly survive under such circumstances. Thinking of this made Hulk's expression darken; the members of Shadow Team shared a close bond, and losing one of their own weighed heavily on him. Thus, his gaze towards Long Ruofei held a hint of dissatisfaction.
Long Ruofei did not turn around but coldly replied, "You are not qualified to know."
Hulk was taken aback by her words, but Li Zhe retorted angrily, "Shadow Team has dealt with countless secrets over the years. My brother can't die like this!"
Long Ruofei glanced at Li Zhe, her eyes filled with disdain. She understood the gravity of the situation well. Initially, she intended to control the situation but ended up losing a high-level Battleship and sacrificing a member of Shadow Team while Ye Yu was gravely injured and that weapon had been used! She hadn’t expected this seemingly inconspicuous person to want to make trouble for her, which only added to her frustration.
"If you think I am at fault, you can take me to military court!"
With that statement, Long Ruofei strode over to the Command Console, waved her hand at the three-dimensional holographic control panel, and then entered the command authorization code.
"Full speed ahead, return to Silver Dragon Star!"
As the Mountain-Class Battleship made its way back to Silver Dragon Star, Shadow Team vanished into this land that countless people yearned for, just as their name suggested. Few knew they had been there, and even fewer knew what they had done.
At that moment, in a hidden location within the Central District, Long Yin Yue stood outside a transparent glass wall, gazing at a person lying quietly inside. The weariness etched on their face was unmistakable.
"The nanobots have already treated him four times, yet he still hasn't woken up!" It seemed as if she was talking to herself, or perhaps addressing her younger sister beside her.
"Fortunately, he has passed the critical phase. However, it seems this injury has damaged his foundation; he may not be able to carry out combat missions in the future," Long Ruofei nodded and sighed lightly, understanding what this outcome meant.
Long Yin Yue remained silent, turning to walk towards the door while saying, "The results from the Military Committee have come in. This operation has balanced out in terms of merits and demerits. However, aside from Ye Yu, everyone else will still receive their due rewards."
"It's not his fault; I was the one who used that weapon." Upon hearing her brother's words, Long Ruofei's figure blurred and appeared right in front of Long Yin Yue. Her handsome face was flushed with color, indicating her dissatisfaction at that moment.
Long Yin Yue glanced at her sister and shook her head slightly. "I know, but if we consider his achievements, would I give him a captain's position?"
"What does that matter..." Long Ruofei was about to refute Long Yin Yue's opinion when she realized her brother's intent. She understood that being too outstanding could attract unwanted attention. Ye Yu was still too young and lacked experience; continuing to reward him would only bring trouble.
Seeing the understanding on Long Ruofei's face, Long Yin Yue continued, "He is no longer suitable for combat missions. I plan to send him to the Federation Homeworld once he wakes up."
"What about Ling'er?" Hearing Long Yin Yue say this, Long Ruofei looked at her brother with confusion.
