In the vast expanse of Sin City, divided into thirty districts, a tall, black-and-white building stood amidst sparse redwoods in the northwest direction of the Central District. Passersby instinctively moved away from the imposing structure as they caught sight of it.
Suddenly, a flying police car flashed its lights and made a sharp turn to park in front of the building. In the next moment, a young officer in uniform, with a stern expression, hurriedly dashed inside the building—Twenty-Ninth District Police Headquarters—carrying a briefcase.
Officer Ding, who had been "visiting" Ye Yu, was now standing on the highest floor of the police headquarters. He squinted at the bustling crowd below, his face showing signs of anxiety.
Just moments ago, he received a phone call from Long Yin Yue, the highest executive of this planet and the Dragon City Lord. The message was clear: if a reasonable explanation for the Nameless Mecha incident was not provided to the public within half a month, he could expect to retire at home.
Officer Ding had visited the hospital yesterday in hopes of extracting some information from Ye Yu. He had also received concrete news from a colleague at the Central District Police Headquarters. The nearby Federal Fleet was already aware of the Nameless Mecha incident. Such matters could be significant for an ordinary planet, but for Sin City, a reasonable explanation was imperative. After all, many still remembered the century-long war that occurred thousands of years ago. The Federation did not want to see Sin City developing high-performance offensive weapons. The sudden appearance of Type 9 Mechas—representing countless technological advancements of the Federation—in Long Yin Yue's jurisdiction required thorough investigation; otherwise, even Long Yin Yue himself would not sleep soundly.

A series of urgent knocks on the wooden door interrupted Officer Ding's thoughts.
"Come in!" he called out, glancing toward the door while composing himself. As a senior official in the Twenty-Ninth District, he had to maintain his image at all times.
"Report, Chief. I have brought the information you requested!" The young officer who had just entered was the same one who had been carrying the briefcase earlier. Sweat beaded on his forehead as he appeared somewhat out of breath.
Officer Ding frowned and stepped forward to adjust the young officer's cap before slowly asking, "What’s going on? Why are you in such a hurry?"
Upon hearing his superior's question, excitement flickered across the young officer's face as he replied, "I have just obtained surveillance footage from around the site from the prosecutor's office covering a hundred kilometers and also data on ship movements at the Spaceport over the past month."
"Well done. You can leave now," Officer Ding encouraged his subordinate before reaching out to take the documents.
Once the young officer exited, Officer Ding placed the files onto a nearby player. The room dimmed slightly as a three-dimensional virtual image resembling a star map appeared before him.
In just a few blinks, the Virtual Image slowly solidified, revealing a hilly landscape before him, densely covered with various trees that almost obscured the entire area.
“Dense Forest Reservoir?” Officer Ding, who had lived in this city for decades, immediately recognized that this dense forest was indeed a water source in District 29, the Dense Forest Reservoir.
Officer Ding casually manipulated the three-dimensional Virtual Image, which seemed to come alive, continuously changing its display in response to his movements.
Suddenly, Officer Ding narrowed his eyes, focusing intently on the edge of the forest where a dark figure flashed by quickly! He swiftly tapped the three-dimensional Virtual Image with his finger, causing the Image Data to stop playing.
In the next moment, Officer Ding slightly spread his thumb and index finger, enlarging the three-dimensional Virtual Image. A slender figure immediately came into view.
The clarity of this level of Image Data was exceptionally high. Officer Ding quickly adjusted the Virtual Image with his fingers, making the figure grow larger.
He continued to scroll through several frames of images and soon found the true appearance of the figure—revealing a strikingly beautiful short woman! Officer Ding's pupils constricted as he captured this image directly and swiftly moved it to an empty space on the side.
According to reports from officers at the scene, not far from here was where the Nameless Mecha was located. However, there were no surveillance devices within this dense forest, and external surveillance showed no signs of anyone entering! All these deductions almost confirmed a connection between Ye Yu and this mysterious woman, who would be a key witness in this incident!
Just then, his communicator on the table suddenly buzzed and projected a virtual image of a middle-aged man dressed in silver attire.
“Chief Ding! Just now, one of our Silver Dragon Guard base's backup 'Dragon' class airships was stolen. My squad has one dead and one injured!”
Officer Ding had not yet recognized who was contacting him when he heard the other party's urgent voice.

"We are the Silver Dragon Guard, ordered to apprehend you!"
Although it was Doctor Cao who asked, the man's gaze was fixed on Ye Yu. Clearly, he was here to capture Ye Yu, who had yet to recover.
