The sea breeze from the Atlantic blew gently, carrying a hint of saltwater that refreshed the weary souls below. Not far from the Atlantic, atop a towering building, a burly man stood at the edge of the balcony, his dark eyes glinting with a flicker of light.
"Sir, their movements were too swift this time. We didn't have time to track their location before they slipped away," a hat-wearing officer in military uniform, the Major, reported while holding an Electronic Display Screen that displayed messages from below. His brow furrowed slightly.
He kept a respectful distance from his imposing superior, aware that his predecessor's sudden and mysterious disappearance was intricately linked to the man before him. This rumor had circulated widely, and the Major felt it prudent to tread carefully.
"What a bunch of useless fools! So many people and they couldn't catch one fugitive!" Though his superior was clearly furious, his tone remained surprisingly calm.
The Major found it puzzling; this superior was becoming increasingly difficult to read. He seemed to have a short temper but had never raised his voice at him.
"Sir, we have stronger forces at our disposal. Why not use them?" Despite his relatively low rank, the Major had gained considerable insight from working alongside this remarkable leader.
On the surface, it appeared that the highest combat power was at the Ten Star Level, but in reality, there were even more formidable individuals at this level. The Major should have realized that such powerful beings could not be easily summoned.
"I know better than you how to handle this. What you need to do now is organize forces immediately to eliminate this person!" The burly superior did not turn around but continued issuing orders with his back to the Major.
The Major flipped through the documents in his hand, frowning slightly as he received another message—one he hesitated to share.
"What happened?"
However, nothing escaped the notice of his seemingly omnipotent superior, who quickly picked up on the Major's subtle emotional shift.
"Latest news: The Traitor has sent proof of his innocence worldwide. We no longer have time to stop it."
Upon hearing this news, the usually unshakeable superior's shoulders trembled slightly. But he quickly regained his composure and continued, "The power of speech is in our hands; you know best how to proceed."
The Major swiftly recorded his superior's words. However, when he looked up again, his superior had vanished without a trace. Realizing the extent of this man's abilities sent a chill down the Major's spine as he exited the dimly lit office.
After staying on Noah's Ark for a while, Lin Yi had fully recovered from his injuries thanks to Wang Kai's Potential Gene Drug. Unfortunately, there were still no signs of any breakthroughs.
As for Wang Kai, he finally returned five hours after Lin Yi and the others came back. At that moment, Wang Kai was unrecognizable; his once elegant demeanor had vanished completely. A large portion of his body had rotted away, as if something had corroded him.
One of his legs was even half severed, and the upper part looked as though it had been gnawed by piranhas, exposing raw, bloody flesh and hinting at the white bones beneath.
Everyone was shocked at Wang Kai's appearance. However, despite his dire condition, he rushed into Noah's Ark without explaining anything to the others and injected himself with a vial of blue liquid. Before that, he had given Lin Yi a vial of red liquid to help him regain his strength.
Although Lin Yi was also injured, he was in better shape than Wang Kai and woke up first. He then witnessed a miracle: Wang Kai's decayed body began to shed the rotting flesh layer by layer, much like molting. Fresh, tender flesh started to grow in its place! Even more astonishingly, Wang Kai's severed leg grew back in a remarkably short time! The skin that emerged was as pure and delicate as that of a newborn baby, leaving Lin Yi curious about what exactly that blue liquid contained.
Before long, Wang Kai regained consciousness, and Lin Yi noticed that he now appeared just like an ordinary person. The imposing aura that had occasionally radiated from him before had completely vanished!
If Lin Yi hadn't known that this person was Wang Kai, who could effortlessly annihilate a Ten-Star Master with a wave of his hand, no one would have guessed his true identity.
"Let's go. There are still many things to resolve!"
Wang Kai's voice was much steadier than before, carrying an air of detachment from worldly affairs.

Wang Kai chuckled, his childlike smile exuding a sense of innocence. Before Lin Yi could react, Wang Kai's hand suddenly rested on Lin Yi's shoulder.
In the next moment, Lin Yi felt a mysterious wave of power around him, similar to Spatial Power! The next instant, he found himself and Wang Kai standing on solid ground!
Lin Yi was filled with shock; this almost unpredictable ability was undoubtedly the best tool for escaping danger! With hardly any preparation time needed, just a thought could transport someone from a sealed location to another place!
At that moment, Wang Kai stumbled and nearly fell to the ground. Fortunately, Lin Yi reacted quickly and caught him.
"I can't do it freely yet; I haven't fully reached that realm. This short-distance shift just drained a lot of my energy!" Wang Kai waved his hand, his face pale, clearly affected by the recent action.
After a few minutes, Wang Kai finally recovered somewhat, and at that moment, Wang Zijun and the others approached. However, their expressions were not good; it was evident that something troubling had occurred.
Lin Yi's heart sank. What he was most concerned about now was how effective the video evidence proving his innocence would be.
"You guys are finally out; the situation is not optimistic!" Wang Zijun said as he directly opened a three-dimensional display. A projection instantly appeared before everyone.
When Ying Sa saw Lin Yi emerge, she joyfully rushed to his side and linked her arm with his, beaming with happiness. As for Nicolas and the others, they stood behind Lin Yi with worried expressions as they looked at the data just projected.
The data was an electronic version of a newspaper, and it was even the front-page headline. Lin Yi recognized the familiar image: it was a half-human, half-zombie face made using his photo!
The headline was written in large blood-red letters with a dripping blood effect: Thief Lin seeks to cover up but is actually digging his own grave!
Lin Yi's anger flared as he read the content; he felt like he wanted to drag out the person who wrote this article and give them a good beating!
"First of all, there's no need to respond. The content is so fake that it can't get any faker. In the video, Thief Lin and his accomplices appear out of nowhere, which shows how poor the quality of this fabrication is. It's no wonder Thief Lin is in such a predicament. Regardless, a group of people suddenly appearing in one place is absolutely impossible!
Secondly, Albert, as the most powerful Zombie in Australia, is at least at the peak of ten Star Level. Yet, Thief Lin managed to blow Albert to smithereens in just a few rounds. I believe everyone must be questioning whether this is all staged!
The other Ten-Star Combat Power Zombies were like mere decorations, easily eliminated by Thief Lin's followers. If Ten-Star Combat Power Zombies were that easy to defeat, peace would have been restored long ago!
Of course, Thief Lin's strength doesn't take these factors into account, so all his attempts to defend himself are merely digging his own grave!
