“Zombie?”
Lin Yi asked uncertainly. These people did not look like Zombies at all, and their blood did not contain the characteristic black liquid associated with Zombies.
“No, I’m not sure. Right now, they clearly show no signs of Corpseification, but their bodies contain a large number of Zombie infection cells. However, for some reason, they haven’t all been infected!”
Ying Sa continued to observe the changes of the Zombie Virus in the instruments, her face showing hesitation. After a moment, she furrowed her brows and said, “These Zombie Viruses seem to have undergone some kind of mutation; they are not as aggressive as the previous viruses, which allows them to lie dormant within the human body!”
The instrument displayed the danger level of the Zombie Virus. Normally, tested Zombie Viruses would directly be classified as the most dangerous level, but now it showed a lower level.
“So, these people possess both Zombie and human cells?” Lin Yi was astonished, standing up to survey his surroundings in disbelief.
The fundamental reason why the Zombie Virus could spread globally was its extremely high transmissibility; it could turn a human into a state of Corpseification and madness in just a few minutes. Now there was a Zombie Virus that could remain dormant without directly causing human Corpseification. This was inherently strange.
“They are currently in a state of Half-Human, Half-Undead. Although part of their bodies has already undergone Corpseification, for the most part, they still retain human characteristics. Perhaps it is this partial Corpseification that has resulted in their current appearance.”
Upon hearing this, everyone looked puzzled. The situation was indeed bizarre. This place was desolate, and there were no signs of life for miles around—yet here were these people.

Ying Sa glanced at the testing device in her hand and replied, “It’s useless; they have already undergone Corpseification. The Serum cannot separate the virus!”
“What about these people…”
Just as Lin Yi was about to ask for everyone’s opinions, he suddenly raised an eyebrow. A strong smell of blood began to permeate the surroundings!
Lin Yi looked around but found nothing unusual. Then, as if he had realized something, his Psychic Power surged forth. Soon, a horrifying scene appeared in his mind.
"Whoosh—"
Lin Yi's figure blurred and he suddenly appeared at the center of the area. At that moment, everyone noticed a large circular Metal Lid in the center.
"Ha!"
Veins bulged on Lin Yi's forehead, and suddenly his arms expanded significantly! In the next instant, a shadow flashed by as Lin Yi's fist struck the Metal Lid with a resounding "Boom."
Dust erupted from the ground, and several metal fragments shot into the air with a hissing sound.
"Roar—" Once the dust settled, everyone heard that familiar roar again; there were Zombies beneath the Metal Lid!
Lin Yi was taken aback. Before he could react, a shadow darted out from the broken Metal Lid. Below was actually a basement! Just moments ago, Lin Yi and the others had been completely captivated by this group of strange beings and hadn’t paid attention to what lay beneath.
At that moment, Lin Yi realized that the Zombie before him only possessed Two-Star combat power. Compared to ordinary Zombies, this Two-Star Combat Power Zombie had some human-like features. Although its face was still marred with numerous pits and decayed spots, at least its gray eyes remained intact in their sockets without drooping out. The foul odor was barely perceptible, and its robe was clean and tidy.
However, upon closer inspection, he saw blood oozing from the corners of the Zombie's mouth as it chewed on something, occasionally splattering Scarlet blood foam from its lips.
"It's eating human flesh!"
Someone shouted, and Lin Yi shifted his gaze to the Zombie's hands. It was gripping a piece of blood-red flesh that was still slightly wriggling; upon closer inspection, it was unmistakably a Human Heart!
"Roar—"

At that moment, everyone felt a blur before their eyes; the once menacing Zombie had suddenly transformed into an Ice Sculpture, frozen in place and utterly motionless.

The so-called Half-Human, Half-Undead here had already been controlled by this Zombie, becoming its endless source of food! As for why it was hiding in the basement, it was likely to avoid detection by the Satellite above.
Just as Lin Yi had frozen the Zombie, he had already scanned the entire basement. Inside, there were densely packed corpses of hundreds of people, and even the skeleton of a Sea Beast! At that moment, when the Metal Lid was opened, a strong stench of decay surged forth like a tangible entity, making him want to retch.
"Wow—"
With a single motion, Lin Yi unleashed a wave of frost, sealing off the exit completely. Only then did the foul odor in the air begin to dissipate.

A sound of retching came from nearby; Lin Yi didn't need to look to know it was Renesmee, unable to bear the horrific scene and leaning against the door as she gagged. Her once pale face was now ghostly white from fear.
Even Tina, who possessed rotting skills, stood there with a pale face and wide eyes, speechless.
At that moment, Lin Yi suddenly felt the air tighten around him, followed by an overwhelming aura enveloping the surroundings! Strangely enough, after releasing his Psychic Power, he couldn't pinpoint the source of this presence.
Though powerful, Lin Yi could clearly sense its approach. In the next instant, he frowned as an imposing force surrounded the entire perimeter of the wall.
Yellowish mist began to rise around them; upon closer inspection, it was composed of swirling dust and debris! The haze spun wildly like an extraordinarily powerful sandstorm!
"Hahaha! I never expected we would meet again here; truly a boon for me!"
A wild laugh pierced through the yellowish haze, which enveloped the entire wall, even obscuring the sky beyond.
"Stay alert for defense!"
As soon as Lin Yi's voice fell, the others hurriedly gathered around him. Those who had previously appeared dazed suddenly seemed to witness something terrifying, kneeling on the ground in unison, their bodies trembling uncontrollably, emitting strange sounds from their mouths as if responding to something.
"Since you enjoy being with these creatures so much, why not join them?" As the words left his mouth, a plump shadow materialized before everyone.
From the aura radiating from this figure, it was clear that the newcomer possessed at least ten Star Level combat power. Lin Yi had not fully recovered yet and found it difficult to accurately gauge the opponent's strength.

Lin Yi nodded to the group before his form blurred and vanished from sight, followed closely by Ying Sa.
In the next moment, their figures appeared directly in front of the zombie. This zombie had a slightly plump body and an arrogant expression on its face. To an ordinary person, it would be hard to see any resemblance to a zombie; in fact, it even gave off a somewhat amiable impression.
Lin Yi squinted at the Fat Zombie in front of him, seemingly unsure as he asked, "Haven't we met before?"
"You really have a short memory. Two years ago, I almost died at your hands. Fortunately, an anomaly occurred at that time. Not only did I survive, but I also raised my power to Ten Star Level."
The Fat Zombie looked at Lin Yi and Ying Sa with interest. Although Ying Sa also exuded the power of Ten Star Level, the Fat Zombie was confident of victory.

A flash of anger crossed the Fat Zombie's face, but it quickly stabilized its emotions. As a Super Zombie, if it couldn't control the emotions that arose from encountering a human, it would eventually be killed by its opponent.
Lin Yi was momentarily speechless, unsure how to retaliate. Unexpectedly, at that moment, Ying Sa suddenly shouted fiercely, "What good is there in so many? Only the strong can survive!"
As soon as Ying Sa's voice fell, she vanished without a trace. Even with Lin Yi's Psychic Power, he couldn't find any sign of her. Ying Sa's Bestow Unique Ability was teleportation; now he had no idea where she had hidden!

As the Fat Zombie's words echoed, a yellowish figure suddenly emerged from the swirling storm of sand and gravel.
