At the moment Nameless Liquid invaded Lin Yi's mind, a strong sensation of tingling and itchiness began to roam freely within his head. Soon after, a wave of pain started to spread, first through his veins, then infecting his entire body, quickly penetrating into his very marrow.
Lin Yi could clearly feel this sensation "invading" every part of his body, but at that moment, he lacked the strength to even move a finger. He couldn't even determine if he was already dead; he distinctly remembered Li Qiweng's blade piercing through his chest.
Yet, Lin Yi could still feel that unbearable tingling pain rampaging throughout his body. When this sensation reached his mind, he felt an overwhelming urge to dig a hole in his head. The itchiness was so intolerable that if Lin Yi had been able to move, he might have clawed at his own skin until it bled.
At that moment, Lin Yi even began to feel grateful to Li Qiweng for leaving him in such a state; if it weren't for her, he might have become a raving lunatic, desperately clawing at himself until he was drenched in blood and had even damaged his own brain—truly a demon from hell.
"Boss Lin, what's wrong?" At that moment, Lin Yi suddenly heard a clear female voice. It sounded familiar, yet he couldn't discern the age of the voice.
Just then, Lin Yi felt as if his head had exploded; a strange power began to circulate rapidly around him. This power brought a sensation akin to parched earth suddenly receiving rainwater—Lin Yi felt an unprecedented sense of comfort.
His somewhat dulled mind tried to think, but before he could grasp the situation, he suddenly realized he could move.
Having been on the brink of death just moments ago, Lin Yi felt a surge of vitality rising within him. The wounds that had plagued him began to heal automatically, even the heart that had been reduced to mere remnants was rapidly mending!
A feeling of unparalleled refreshment washed over Lin Yi, as if he were basking in the winter sun or enjoying the cool breeze on a scorching day.
In the next moment, Lin Yi sprang up with a whoosh; the tattered remnants of his clothing fell away from him, leaving only a pair of shorts clinging to his waist.
"Ah—" Tina, caught off guard by Lin Yi's sudden movement, gasped and covered her eyes as she stepped back.
"To think he broke through at this moment! No, wait—he hasn't reached Ten Star Level, he's still just short!" Handsome Man, who was ensnared by Renesmee's Frozen Domain, furrowed his brow. He had just sensed a solid energy manifesting abruptly. However, while this power was indeed substantial, it still fell short of reaching Ten Star Level. It was merely one step away.
"Not dead?" Li Qiweng paused for a moment in surprise but quickly blurred into motion and appeared before Lin Yi. She scrutinized him from top to bottom and was astonished to find that the massive wound on his chest had completely vanished.
"Is it any wonder that some people are willing to become Zombies, given such a twisted recovery ability?" A hint of fervor flashed in Li Qiweng's eyes, but it was quickly replaced by calmness.
She could tell that Lin Yi had not yet reached the Ten Star Level, which gave her confidence that she could defeat him again!
Lin Yi pulled the still-dazed Tina behind him, his expression wary as he watched Li Qiweng. At this moment, he could feel a tremendous boost in his power, and the excitement made him temporarily forget Li Qiweng's ruthlessness.
"Even after Corpseification, you're still the same. It seems my decision was not wrong," Li Qiweng remarked, observing Lin Yi holding Tina's hand with a hint of sarcasm on her face.
Lin Yi, who should have been anxious to explain, saw Li Qiweng's expression and smiled brightly. "Weng, you remember me, right? You’re not really here to kill me, are you?"
"Hmph, of course I remember you. But you are no longer the Lin Yi from before; you are a Zombie! Therefore, it is only right for me to kill you. My mission is to eliminate Zombies like you and maintain peace in the world!"
A flicker of confusion crossed Lin Yi's eyes. Although Li Qiweng was still Li Qiweng, he sensed something different about her—was her sense of justice just a bit too strong now?
Before Lin Yi could sort out his thoughts, a tremendous force surged toward him as Li Qiweng's hands coalesced into a massive long blade aimed at his head.
At this moment, Lin Yi's strength had greatly increased. He could even estimate how much power he would need to block the crimson blade of light!
In the next instant, Lin Yi raised his eyebrows and with a swift motion of his left hand, a wall of energy appeared before him. However, he noticed that the color of this energy wall was different from before; it had changed from silver-white to a mix of silver-white and grayish-white!
With a thunderous sound, Li Qiweng's Light Blade struck directly against Lin Yi's energy shield. Yet, the shield merely rippled before returning to calm.
Meanwhile, Li Qiweng's Light Blade instantly transformed into sparks of red fire that quickly vanished into thin air.
"Although I don't know how your War God Suit has been modified, the power it grants can only reach a Ten Star Level combat strength when combined with your own abilities. The Light Blade relies more on your inherent strength, so it's difficult for your Light Blade to truly achieve a Ten Star Level!"
Lin Yi explained almost instinctively, not realizing that the woman before him was intent on taking his life!
"Thank you for the reminder!"
Li Qiweng's expression turned serious upon hearing this, but her movements did not pause for a moment. She swung her jade-like fist directly at Lin Yi's light shield.
With a dull thud, Li Qiweng's elegant punch pierced through the light shield and aimed straight for Lin Yi's head!
Lin Yi was taken aback. He quickly bent down and then, with one hand, struck the ground with a powerful punch, using the force to retreat rapidly! He never expected Li Qiweng to be so resolute, showing no hesitation in her intent to kill.
At that moment, Lin Yi noticed the sound of booming footsteps approaching from a distance; it was clear that the enemy's main force had arrived for support!
"Everyone, gather around me and prepare to leave!"
Though Lin Yi wanted to clarify things with Li Qiweng, he knew there was no time for explanations now. However, he could sense something unusual about her!
"Want to leave? You’ll have to ask me first!"
Upon hearing Lin Yi's words, Li Qiweng stepped forward and began to rain punches toward Lin Yi's face. If it weren't for Lin Yi's own speed, he would have truly been unable to lift his head under her relentless assault.
However, with the enhancement from the War God Suit, her strength was undeniably at a genuine Ten Star Level. Although Lin Yi's power had surged significantly, he still felt his arms quickly going numb as the flow of energy became obstructed.
In the time that had passed, the enemy's main force had already closed in, surrounding the area tightly. At that moment, Lin Yi felt a dangerous aura locking onto him swiftly; he could only keep moving to evade the targeting!
"Sorry, Wen!"
With that, Lin Yi no longer dared to hold back. His hands blurred, and a long energy staff appeared in his grasp. He was afraid to condense the Light Blade, worried it might harm Li Qiweng!
In the next instant, Lin Yi's figure flickered and he appeared behind Li Qiweng, his arms swelling with power.
Immediately, the energy staff swung toward the back of Lin Yi's neck with a whistling force! Just as it was about to strike, Li Qiweng's body twisted impossibly, and then his hands firmly blocked Lin Yi's energy staff.
Lin Yi frowned and released his grip on the energy staff. In a blur, he moved beside Li Qiweng and raised his hand to strike at the back of Li Qiweng's head!
At that moment, Lin Yi suddenly felt a tremendous force binding him; it was Li Qiweng using his Bestow Unique Ability to attempt to restrain Lin Yi's attack!
"Break—"
Veins bulged on Lin Yi's forehead as his right hand swung down without hesitation toward the back of Li Qiweng's head.
"Bang!"
Calculating the force perfectly, Lin Yi's hand struck the back of Li Qiweng's head.
Li Qiweng stared blankly at Lin Yi, then his eyes rolled back as he seemed about to faint. Just then, Lin Yi suddenly leaned in close and planted a fierce kiss on Li Qiweng's face. After that, Li Qiweng collapsed to the ground, unconscious.
In that brief moment of pause, Lin Yi suddenly felt an incredibly penetrating force rushing towards him at high speed!
Lin Yi barely had time to shift his body slightly when a fiery red light grazed past his neck. The next moment, he felt a searing sensation surge into his mind.
"Ryan!"
Just as Lin Yi was about to deal with the person who had attacked him, a shout rang out. He turned to see Ying Sa thrusting a blade deep into Ryan's forehead.
"Ying Sa!"
Lin Yi shouted furiously, and in an instant, he appeared in front of Ying Sa!
Seeing Lin Yi suddenly appear, Ying Sa's delicate face showed a hint of fear, but she quickly regained her composure.
"Zombie, you deserve to die!"
Hearing Ying Sa's cold words, Lin Yi struggled to control his emotions and replied, "Do you really think I'm a Zombie too?"
"I only know that even Sister Li wants to kill you. If you're not a Zombie, then what are you?" Ying Sa held her Single Crystal Combat Blade horizontally in front of her, her eyes reflecting a complex mix of emotions.
