The so-called War God Squad naturally refers to the Mercenaries equipped with the War God Suit. Along the way, Lin Yi had already discovered numerous traces of Zombies, and he was confident that his judgment was correct. However, as they crossed the Sahara Desert, they entered a completely different terrain. The river valley here was no longer suitable for large-scale vehicle maneuvers, with water flows and protruding rocks everywhere.
If only the War God Squad were to pursue the Zombies, their strength of less than a thousand men was indeed formidable, but it would be insufficient against such a powerful Zombie force.

What worried Ibn more was that if Lin Yi led his elite troops away, the overall strength of their expeditionary force would be nearly halved, which was unacceptable to him!
Lin Yi glanced around; dark clouds were gathering overhead, signaling an impending rain. Throughout their march in the desert, they had hardly encountered any rain at all. Even if it did rain, it evaporated almost instantly.
“The Zombies have already moved on; there won't be a large-scale Zombie presence here!” Lin Yi felt anxious inside. Just moments ago, Reiko had informed him that a very difficult blood battle awaited them in the future.
Aoling Er's sensing abilities were tied to those around her; since she had sensed such possibilities this time, it meant Lin Yi would undoubtedly participate in that blood battle.
Lin Yi knew some things were unavoidable; he never considered fleeing from this disaster. With his strength, even if he wanted to save himself, it would be impossible. Right now, all Lin Yi could do was strive to earn the title of Mercenary King in the Mercenary Alliance competition!
“But Commander, while there may not be a large-scale Zombie presence, if just ten Eight-Star Zombies ambush us, our losses would be catastrophic.” Ibn recalled a previous Zombie ambush at Nile Lakeside; had it not been for Lin Yi's timely support, he couldn't imagine how many troops he would have lost to resolve that trouble.
“Are you afraid? Then you can leave with the War God Squad. I will assign someone else to take your place!” Lin Yi raised an eyebrow. His expression turned serious as if he could see through Ibn's thoughts.
Ibn didn't expect Lin Yi to be so assertive; one wrong word and he would lose his position. The Commander absolutely had that right. After all, military orders from outside were not always granted or followed, and given Lin Yi's combat prowess, he truly wasn't afraid of many things.
“No, Commander! It's just that splitting forces has always been a military taboo! Moreover, we need to discuss this with the staff; our current actions cannot be dictated by personal will!” Ibn gritted his teeth. He felt helpless; after all, Lin Yi was originally just a puppet—he was supposed to be the real protagonist.
However, Lin Yi's strength and capabilities repeatedly elevated his prestige to new heights; more often than not, Ibn found himself merely an ornament as vice Commander with little actual influence.
He had no desire to fight against Lin Yi but feared that if his prestige did not rise this time, he would have no choice but to continue risking his life on the front lines against the Zombies upon returning. Furthermore, pressure from the staff kept mounting as they sought to restrain Lin Yi's actions. His insistence on avoiding splitting forces stemmed from wanting to ensure Lin Yi did not take all the credit for himself.
“David, you are responsible for protecting Mr. Ibn. Wu Hao, you will take over leadership of the staff! The War God Squad will prepare to depart in fifteen minutes! The rest will follow Mr. Ibn and Mr. Wu Hao's orders and continue advancing at full speed to catch up with us!
I have already contacted Nile Defense Zone; Sky Giant Transporter will provide another supply drop for everyone!”
Lin Yi moved forward without any hesitation, constantly searching for an opportunity. Now that the moment had arrived, he intended to take control of this so-called command center directly! Since there was going to be a bloody battle in the future, there was no room for too many opposing opinions.
David, the youngest member of the Mercenary group, was barely ten years old. His only ability was inheriting his father Reagan's flying skills, and due to his age, David's combat power had not even reached a Star Level yet!

Lin Yi usually did not get angry, but when he did, it was terrifying to the point that no one dared to approach him. At that moment, Li Qiweng was somewhat puzzled about what was happening and moved closer to Lin Yi.
"You’re making it impossible for Ibn to back down. If he does something rash, won’t we be at a disadvantage?" Li Qiweng said gently. The pressure on Lin Yi had been increasing day by day, and as someone close to him, Li Qiweng knew this was not the time for him to lose his temper.
"Hmph, this is Zombie territory. If he wants to die, he can make a fuss all he wants. But do you think your husband is that weak? With Wu Hao by his side, how could he possibly act arrogantly!" Lin Yi smirked slightly, licking his dry lips before gently wrapping his arm around Li Qiweng's waist, completely ignoring the expressions of others.

Fifteen minutes passed quickly; all eight hundred members of the War God Squad had gathered. In those fifteen minutes, they had done only one thing: ensuring they had enough energy! The War God Suit was designed for combat; although its flying capability was formidable, it could not support long-distance flight. Lin Yi had anticipated the awkwardness that the War God Suit would encounter and had already prepared a large number of energy blocks!
With Lin Yi’s command, all eight hundred members of the War God Squad swiftly divided into eight teams and flew towards the end of Azawakh Valley.
At a speed of eight hundred kilometers per hour, the War God Suit automatically activated helmets to protect everyone’s heads. However fast they were moving, they still needed to land every ten minutes for energy replenishment due to their full-power consumption!
Half an hour later, just as the War God Squad completed their last energy refill, an endless horde of Zombies suddenly emerged from the valley’s end and launched a surprise attack. Clearly, they had been prepared to intercept here!
"Roar—" The Zombies waved their arms and rushed toward Lin Yi's War God Squad in a chaotic frenzy.
"A bunch of rabble!" With a sweep of his Psychic Power, Lin Yi discovered that these Zombies were all ordinary ones—not even a single Star Level or giant Zombie among them! Although their numbers exceeded ten thousand, for Lin Yi’s team, it would only take some effort to deal with these Zombies!
"War God Squad! Kill!" Lin Yi charged forward first, wielding his Silver Soul Battle Blade that gleamed ominously.
"Kill! Kill! Kill!" All members of the War God Squad drew their long knives from their backs, turning the entire valley into a forest of blades.
Lin Yi chose not to use laser weapons or missiles, considering that they would be difficult to replenish in a short time and must be saved for the most critical moments.
Lin Yi's agility had reached its peak. As soon as the War God Squad shouted, their Captain had already vanished from sight. Li Qiweng, unwilling to fall behind, was the second to follow. Sean and Roman quickly followed suit, while Douglas lagged slightly but still moved swiftly.
The rest of the team closely followed Douglas, charging straight into the horde of zombies.
"Roar—" The zombies, tattered and bloodied, lunged at them with reckless abandon.
As the most ordinary type of zombie, they were naturally fearless. Lin Yi did not use Blade Qi this time; however, once he plunged into the mass of zombies, he swiftly dispatched dozens of them!
The single-crystal Silver Soul Battle Blade cut through the zombie bodies as if they were nothing. With a single stroke, there was hardly a sound as the zombies were cleaved in two!
With such terrifying speed, within just a minute, Lin Yi had already slain nearly a thousand zombies! The others combined had also taken down several thousand more, reducing them to piles of decaying flesh and blood.
"Brothers, let's keep up the momentum!" Lin Yi shouted excitedly. He spun around, disregarding the approaching zombies.
As soon as Lin Yi's voice fell, he transformed into a rapidly spinning figure, creating a fierce wind of blades around him!
A spiral airflow seemed to materialize around Lin Yi. The nearby zombies appeared to be sucked in by an oceanic whirlpool, turning into clouds of blood mist—dead beyond recovery.
