As expected, just when Ibn raised his hand, the previously silent individuals also lifted their hands after a brief moment of astonishment. The Minister of Defense, clearly still unsure, continued to ask, "Mr. Lin, how confident are you about this battle? Have you formulated a combat plan?"
"Isn't the specific combat plan supposed to be developed by your staff?" Lin Yi replied with a half-smile, as if he were completely unaware of the situation.

This was also evident at the Nile Command Center, where they had observed Lin Yi. Although these senior generals rarely showed themselves and most of their soldiers did not even recognize them, let alone outsiders.

"Alright. Since Deputy Commander Ibn agrees, I assume all staff members have no objections! Let’s head straight to that oasis depression and strive to find the Zombie before nightfall!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Lin Yi was too lazy to wait for anyone else’s input. He turned around and left the vehicle. This time he went directly back to the Mercenary team's command vehicle instead of using the one provided by the Nile Command Center.
As the crimson clouds thickened in the sky, Lin Yi's army was nearing their destination. However, their journey was far from smooth, as they were constantly harassed by waves of Zombies along the way.
The most formidable encounter came when five Eight-Star Zombies led an assault directly onto Lin Yi's command vehicle. They wielded a large number of high-explosive grenades, which they hurled into Lin Yi's convoy.
Fortunately, thanks to Ero's surveillance, they detected the Eight-Star Zombies' movements a second in advance. In that critical moment, Lin Yi unleashed a massive surge of Psychic Power, propelling the grenades into the air.
Among the five Eight-Star Zombies, one possessed an ability akin to spatial teleportation, allowing it to lead the other four directly into the midst of Lin Yi's convoy.
What they did not anticipate was that even a slight movement would expose them instantly. They also underestimated Lin Yi's strength, which was far greater than the intelligence they had received. In less than a second, he reacted and sent all the grenades soaring into the sky!
With their attack thwarted, the only fate left for these five Zombies was total annihilation.
Lin Yi was the first to emerge from his vehicle, unleashing Blade Qi that sliced through the air towards the five Zombies. With a single strike, three of the Eight-Star Combat Power Zombies were cleaved in half, losing a significant portion of their combat effectiveness.
Just as Lin Yi prepared to turn and finish off the remaining two Zombies with another strike, one of them unexpectedly grabbed its companion and began to retreat rapidly.
Although Lin Yi was unsure of what had transpired, his Blade Qi had already been unleashed. He knew that no matter how fast the Zombie ran, it could never outrun his attack.
At that moment, Lin Yi suddenly sensed an unusual energy fluctuation. The next instant, something bizarre occurred: one of the Eight-Star Level Zombies appeared to sink partially into water and vanished completely.
In the blink of an eye, this Zombie's entire form seemed to disappear without a trace. However, the other Zombie nearby was not so fortunate; as the first Zombie vanished, Lin Yi's Blade Qi struck with thunderous speed and cleaved this unfortunate Zombie in half before it could escape!
The rest of his comrades rushed out and witnessed three Zombies severed in two, desperately clawing at the sand with their emaciated hands in an attempt to distance themselves from the Human Camp.
However, the crowd would not let them go easily. They swung their Silver Soul Battle Blades, directly slicing the weakened Zombies into piles of rotten flesh, and finally reduced them to ashes with a burst of flames.
The purpose of the Zombies was clear, but it could not hinder Lin Yi's advance. As they eliminated all the Zombies brought by the five, Lin Yi and his companions could finally see patches of green in the distance.
With Lin Yi's Psychic Power growing stronger, his perception of danger intensified. However, he also vaguely sensed several extremely powerful presences following closely around him.
Neither side was fully prepared; the top-tier combatants from both the Human Camp and the Zombie faction would not appear easily. Yet, individuals like Lin Yi were merely advanced cannon fodder, used to continuously deplete the numbers of Zombies.
Lin Yi was uncertain if he would encounter a top-tier Zombie this time, but he figured such concerns were beyond his purview. Those extraordinary beings were the true decision-makers.
After several minutes of travel, Lin Yi and his group finally spotted signs of intelligent life. The perimeter was established with a tall Quarantine Wall, just like all defensive zones.
However, the wall appeared blank; it was not filled with grotesque Zombies wielding spears as one might imagine. In fact, there were no basic defensive measures at all, giving an impression that anyone could enter at any moment.
But that was impossible. In this desolate place, the sudden appearance of such a Quarantine Wall clearly served a purpose beyond mere decoration!
With a command from Lin Yi, the armored artillery units immediately lined up and aimed their cannons at the massive structure before them. Dozens of miniature drones swiftly took to the air, buzzing as they flew toward the Quarantine Wall.
"This situation is strange; these Zombies desperately tried to intercept us on the road, yet now that we are at their doorstep, they remain completely still!" Li Qiweng furrowed her brows in confusion.
"If they choose not to confront us head-on, it means their strength is insufficient to pose a threat!" Lin Yi stated confidently, though he did not dare to let his guard down. He released all his Psychic Power to defend against potential dangers while instructing Ero to remain vigilant for any unusual movements.
"Wait! Something's off!" Lin Yi's Psychic Power spread faster than those drones, and he was the first to notice what was happening inside the city!
Even if there were Zombies surpassing Star Level Nine within, Lin Yi would not be so shocked. However, what he saw was beyond belief; how could such a scene appear here?
As soon as Lin Yi's words fell, the drones began to relay real-time video back. When everyone saw the scenes displayed in the footage, they could hardly believe their eyes!
Many people were caught in a dilemma, wanting to look but feeling too embarrassed to do so. Meanwhile, Lin Yi and the others stared intently at the video, their hearts filled with mixed emotions as they witnessed the unfolding scenes.
The footage did not show a horde of Zombies ready for battle; instead, it revealed a group of completely naked individuals with vacant expressions. Among them, there were no elderly people—most were young adults, with a few infants scattered about. These individuals sat on the ground like statues, motionless and devoid of any extra movements.
Perhaps due to the late hour and the chill in the air, everyone instinctively curled up, hoping to retain some warmth.
"Is this... a gathering point for humans?" someone stammered.
They had expected to encounter endless Zombies but were instead confronted with so many humans!
"Who has ever seen a gathering point for humans where so many people are not wearing a single piece of clothing, and men and women are sitting together?" Lin Yi retorted impatiently. If this was truly just a human settlement, then his earlier assumptions would be nothing short of a joke.
At that moment, Lin Yi suddenly spotted a shadow darting across the surveillance video. Quick on his feet, he immediately slowed down the playback.
As the video played at its slowest speed, everyone finally discerned that the blurry shadow was actually a Zombie. However, this Zombie bore an expression of urgency on its face, as if it were in a hurry to deal with something!
"It seems there are Zombies present here, which means these people are being held captive by them! This place that looks like a city is merely a Cage for humans!"
Lin Yi fixed his gaze on the scene and spoke each word deliberately. A possibility crossed his mind, but he was reluctant to dwell on what that familiar figure had once said.
