The battlefield's focus suddenly shifted entirely to Lin Yi and the Nine-Star Zombie, perhaps marking the key to victory. For the Libyan Guerrilla Army, their hope rested on Lin Yi slaying this Zombie. Their highest combat power barely reached the Eight-Star Level, which is why they had never realized the true strength of this Zombie. However, they clearly remembered that it was this very Zombie that had killed many of their High-Level Combat Power fighters.
Lin Yi felt a sense of unease in his heart. He had just exhausted all his strength, and without the support of the War God Suit, he wouldn't even have had the energy to stand.
In truth, everything happened in an instant. Lin Yi concentrated his remaining power and unleashed a Blade Qi that surged forward. The Nine-Star Zombie had just lost an arm and was already rapidly weakening; it was too late for it to resist any further.
A faint Blade Qi followed closely behind a thick Blade Qi as it slashed downward. Suddenly, the surrounding black mist trembled wildly. That seemingly weak Blade Qi appeared to gain boundless support, effortlessly breaking through the opponent's black mist defense.
"It's finished!" Black's voice rang in Lin Yi's ear, firm and resolute.
As soon as Black's words fell, a sharp screech pierced the air, a sound as grating as two rough pieces of metal scraping against each other.
However, this screech was soon interrupted, and within Lin Yi's consciousness, he sensed that the final Blade Qi had directly severed most of the Zombie's head.
But that wasn't all; without the power of the Nine-Star Zombie backing it up, the black mist scattered like loose sand under the Blade Qi's assault. At that moment, the Zombie, having lost most of its head, was cleaved in half by an earlier Blade Qi strike. The dark liquid inside the Zombie burst forth like splattered water droplets.
The Nine-Star Zombie met its demise at Lin Yi's hands!
"Ha—" Lin Yi let out a long breath. Each time he faced such an extraordinary Zombie, he expended all his strength. At this moment, his back was already soaked with sweat, his soft hair clinging to his forehead, making him look as if he had just emerged from water.
"Sir, congratulations! You are a true hero!" Black was the first to offer congratulations. After being modified by Charlie and Jones, Lin Yi felt that Black had become increasingly human-like; often he felt as if it could read his thoughts.
"I should thank you for your cooperation; otherwise, with my true abilities, facing such a level of Zombie would only lead to certain death." Lin Yi wiped the sweat from his forehead. He was utterly exhausted now; even raising his hand felt sluggish.
Suddenly, before Lin Yi could give any orders, Black activated the power system on the suit and swiftly retreated with Lin Yi.
"Sir, the Zombie is coming!" Black reminded as soon as they took off.
At that moment, Lin Yi finally spotted a Zombie rapidly charging towards him from the ground, wielding a long iron rod, ready to throw it at any moment.
Then, out of the corner of his eye, Lin Yi noticed a fiery red figure racing towards him from another direction. With incredible speed, the figure left behind a long red tail.
"Wife, it's up to you now!" Lin Yi said with a slight smile into the communicator.
The newcomer was Li Qiweng, whose combat power had reached the peak of Eight Star Level. Dealing with an Eight Star Level Zombie posed no life-threatening danger for her.
Lin Yi directly ordered Black General to take him to the command vehicle. At that moment, the area around the command vehicle was surrounded by armored troops, so Lin Yi didn't need to worry about Zombies launching an attack. Moreover, this command vehicle was already equipped with numerous weapons, enough to buy Lin Yi time to escape.
With the threat of the Nine-Star Level Zombie gone, both Lin Yi's elite Mercenaries and armored soldiers, as well as the Libyan Guerrilla Army, were filled with confidence. Ordinary Zombies were being eliminated at a visible rate, while the higher-level Zombies could only defend against the onslaught from Lin Yi's Mercenaries without any chance to counterattack.
The once favorable situation for the Zombie Army was now precarious. Under the siege from both sides, the Zombie Army had been split apart!
Lin Yi contacted Ibn; they had already covered half the distance and would reach this location in less than three hours to provide support.
Feeling somewhat bored due to his own combat power still needing recovery, Lin Yi took control of the War God Suit and maneuvered his command vehicle.
With a sound of metal shifting, two cannon barrels, each about the thickness of a baby's arm, extended from either side of the command vehicle. These barrels were specifically designed for laser weaponry!
With a muffled "bang," Lin Yi directed both cannons towards the most densely packed area of Zombies.
The massive and dazzling Laser Cannons buzzed as they swiftly descended into the horde of Zombies. The clustered Zombies were about to face their nightmare. In just one strike, hundreds of Zombies were pierced through their bodies; some even had their heads completely incinerated by the laser.
The Intelligent Zombies quickly realized the crisis at hand and began to command their fellow Zombies to evade using their unique communication methods. Some of the more intelligent Zombies even directed others to gather near the human army, causing Lin Yi to hesitate, wary of firing the Laser Cannon indiscriminately.
Although Lin Yi was exhausted, his reflexes remained sharp. As soon as the Zombies made their move, he swiftly maneuvered the Laser Cannon to bombard various Zombie gathering points.
In just a few dozen seconds, Lin Yi managed to eliminate nearly ten thousand Zombies with only two Laser Cannons. However, the energy supply in the command vehicle was now depleted; such large-scale firing of the Laser Cannons was incredibly energy-intensive.
"Sir, should I lend you my power to continue firing the Laser Cannons?" The black entity offered, its energy being of a higher grade, making it surprisingly powerful despite its size.
Lin Yi thought for a moment and shook his head. "No need. The Zombies are already mixed in with our troops. Such large-area weapons would harm both friend and foe; it's better to use them sparingly!"

After some time, Ibn's army finally arrived. These heavily armed troops resembled wolves encountering a flock of sheep. With Lin Yi's command, they charged furiously at the Zombie Army!
Initially, Ibn wanted to assign a few High-Level Combat Power soldiers to protect Lin Yi, but he refused. His strength had recovered by thirty percent; as long as he didn't encounter overly powerful Zombies, he believed in his own capabilities.
Though one hundred thousand troops seemed outnumbered by the eight hundred thousand Zombies, with the addition of the Libyan Guerrilla Army and local civilians leveraging their weaponry advantage, the Zombies were quickly divided into hundreds of smaller groups.
An ordinary Zombie posed a threat to regular people, but against trained soldiers, they were utterly slaughtered. Most Zombies with Star-Level Combat Power or above were surrounded by Lin Yi's Mercenaries; ordinary Zombies stood no chance against battle-hardened soldiers and were systematically exterminated.
At this moment, both sides were fully engaged in close combat. Aside from using powerful laser weapons and standard firearms, most encounters devolved into brutal hand-to-hand fighting between humans and Zombies.
The spirited Libyan civilians also picked up weapons to join the fight against the Zombies. In an instant, countless Zombies fell; what had once been a formidable army of eight hundred thousand now resembled ice melting rapidly in a furnace.
Lin Yi watched this scene through images transmitted by surveillance drones and felt immense joy. After countless battles where he had to charge into the fray himself, he could now comfortably oversee from the rear.
After three hours of fierce fighting, the number of Zombies had been reduced by half, while Lin Yi's army and the Libyan Guerrilla Army suffered almost negligible losses.
Five hours later, the Zombie Army was outnumbered by Lin Yi's forces. At this moment, they were completely surrounded, with hardly any chance of escape.
Seven hours later, only a few hundred High-Level Combat Power Zombies remained, desperately resisting. Meanwhile, Lin Yi had fully regained his peak combat strength!
At that moment, under the watchful eyes of the crowd, Lin Yi soared into the air! The Single Crystal Combat Blade in his hand unleashed dazzling beams of milky-white Blade Qi. However, only Lin Yi knew that the power of this Blade Qi was average, and it consumed very little energy.
Like a long rainbow piercing the sky, the ten-meter-long Blade Qi swooped down. Those Zombies who attempted to resist were cut in half before they could even raise their weapons.
Faced with such overwhelming might, the remaining Zombies lost all will to fight and desperately tried to flee. But soon they realized that the figure of this demon surrounded them from all sides. No matter where they attempted to escape, they could see a godlike figure looming over them.
Losing the will to fight is more terrifying than being outmatched in strength. These evolved Zombies feared Lin Yi's power and thus lacked any resolve to resist. Naturally, Lin Yi would not spare them; as he sheathed his blade, the heads of the Zombies fell like ripe grain ready for harvest, rolling to the ground within mere breaths.
In less than ten hours, all 800,000 Zombies were completely eradicated by the efforts of 130,000 Armed Forces and two million ordinary civilians—none were left behind!
“Hero! Hero!” Someone started shouting, and soon everyone around joined in, raising their arms in cheers. The eyes of all were filled with admiration for Lin Yi.
Lin Yi was a hero; this was the glory of a hero!
