As soon as Lin Yi and his team regained control of City No. 4 in less than an hour, they decided to forgo any rest and set off directly towards the next Death City.
There were already over ten Death Cities lined up ahead, with the number of Zombies mostly below ten thousand. This made it even easier for Lin Yi and his team to eliminate these Zombies.
By the time the sun reached its zenith, Lin Yi and his team had swiftly taken down eight Death Cities, annihilating a total of one hundred fifty thousand Zombies!
The Lieutenant General responsible for defense was grinning from ear to ear, as the engineering teams were fully engaged in expanding the new Defense Zone. If Lin Yi could coordinate with the City Defense Force to eliminate all the Zombies within a twenty-kilometer radius, it would be a significant achievement.

"This reporter has just received breaking news: Captain Lin Yi has led his brave Mercenaries alongside Captain Wang Zijun to eliminate another one hundred fifty thousand Zombies!" said a local reporter from the Addis Ababa Defense Zone, who naturally had quicker access to information than others.
"Oh—this is simply unbelievable! Are you sent by God to punish demons?" exclaimed a female reporter, covering her mouth in astonishment.
"You are a hero; you will be our savior!" praised a reporter wearing an Arab-style hat.
“Will Mr. Butler continue to eliminate Zombies in the Addis Ababa Defense Zone? The number of Zombies here has reached millions, and among them are some very formidable ones!” a reporter from the Greater London Defense Zone asked, clearly eager to know Lin Yi's true strength.
“Well…” Although Lin Yi had met with reporters once before, he had never encountered so many at once, with flashes going off all around him. This was a first for him.
“Does Mr. Lin Yi have a wife?” A young Blonde Reporter gazed at Lin Yi with fervor, trying several times to push her way to the front, but her height was no match for the male reporters around her, and she failed each time.
Her question elicited laughter from the crowd, causing Lin Yi to blush deeply.
“Everyone, the battle this morning was intense, and we will be launching another attack this afternoon. So I can only give brief answers to your questions.”
As soon as Lin Yi finished speaking, numerous microphones were thrust toward him, nearly poking his mouth. Mercenaries typically have larger appetites than average people. After a grueling morning of fighting, they devoured every bit of meat until even the juices were gone. In the entire South Side of the Addis Ababa Defense Zone, approximately three hundred thousand Zombies had gathered. Since Lin Yi began his offensive yesterday and took down several Zombie strongholds, reinforcements had been dispatched in large numbers from behind Zombie lines. According to the latest statistics, in just one night plus one morning, Zombie reinforcements had reached two hundred thousand. This meant that there were still over two hundred thousand Zombies left in the Southern Defense Zone! Fortunately, these reinforcements were only entering the Southern Defense Zone and were still several dozen kilometers away from Lin Yi and his team.
The next Zombie stronghold Lin Yi planned to take down had already amassed five thousand Zombies from across the Southern Defense Zone. These five thousand Zombies were exceptionally powerful; at least seven of them possessed Star-Level Combat Power at terrifying levels. After all, these Zombies were remnants of the thirty thousand that remained after previous battles and represented elite forces from over ten Death Cities!
“Brothers,” Lin Yi declared passionately, “the Zombies are right ahead! If we want our efforts to mean something, we must seize this opportunity to take down South Death City! At the very least, we owe it to this meal and to millions who have placed their hopes in us!
After this battle, I will reward those teammates who perform well with a portion of my personal Contribution Points! So I hope everyone can continue to work hard and create brilliance together!”
At that moment, Lin Yi's prestige soared higher than ever. With just a few simple words, everyone responded with a unified cheer. After all, Lin Yi had always been at the forefront of battle, eliminating the greatest obstacles; for that alone, everyone held him in deep respect.
"Lin Steward, you truly have a way with things. As the saying goes, money can make the devil push a millstone. With your generosity, I can only imagine that your team's combat strength will be astonishing," Wang Zijun said, standing behind Lin Yi. When silent, she resembled a neighborly girl, but once she spoke, her mature voice carried an odd undertone.
"Thanks to Captain Wang's good wishes, we will surely continue to create brilliance this time!" Lin Yi replied, raising an eyebrow. This was the last battle of the first round, and it would undoubtedly be tougher than before.
At that moment, Pachy suddenly approached and whispered in Lin Yi's ear, "That Major will launch a hundred rockets before we reach South Death City for a rough artillery cover. It should help us reduce quite a bit of trouble."
Lin Yi smiled and nodded in response. The use of rockets must have been approved by Kofi. After all, the sudden attack by zombies had resulted in significant losses of heavy equipment, and most manufacturing plants had been occupied by them. Humanity had the technology but lacked sufficient resources and machinery to support it; many weapons were truly dwindling with each use.
Sure enough, just after Lin Yi organized the team, he received news from Kofi. Within ten seconds, a sharp whistling sound filled the air as a hundred rockets flew toward South Death City, trailing long crimson tails.
"Everyone, let's move out!" Seeing the rockets had already launched, Lin Yi prepared to set off. The city was fifteen kilometers away from them; traveling at full speed would take about half an hour. However, to conserve energy, Lin Yi kept the marching pace slow. He also noticed that these zombies seemed determined to engage him; otherwise, why wouldn’t they run away?
The progress was not as smooth as before. Although the rocket launcher attack had reduced much of South City to rubble, it did not damage its elite forces at all. Lin Yi discovered that there were over fifty zombies with seven-star level combat power here, and astonishingly more than a hundred with six-star power!
Lin Yi finally understood how immense the pressure on the Addis Ababa Defense Zone was; nearly a hundred zombies with seven-star level combat power were present. If it weren't for the nine-star level super expert stationed there for defense, the entire defense zone would have likely fallen by now. Every inch of territory Lin Yi helped expand for the defense zone was a significant contribution.
Without further ado, Lin Yi commanded all personnel with combat strength exceeding five stars to join him in confronting those high-level combat power zombies! However, despite his large team, there were fewer than fifty individuals with combat strength above five stars—thanks to their War God Suits enhancing their abilities.
In contrast, Wang Zijun's mercenary group had just over a thousand members but boasted more than eighty mercenaries with five-star or higher combat strength due to the boost from their War God Suits!
