Time stood still at that moment, the once noisy venue now silent as if it were empty. In reality, there were three thousand young and vigorous special soldiers present!
"Very good, very good! High-level combat power is indeed impressive! But you are not the only one favored by the gods; I am too!" Paul laughed in rage, but his smile appeared too ferocious and terrifying.
In an instant, Paul swiftly pulled out a blood-red pill from his clothing and tossed it into his mouth, swallowing it whole. Lin Yi's reaction was lightning-fast; the moment Paul consumed the blood-red pill, he sensed something unusual about it. It exuded a strong smell of blood and decay—this was undoubtedly the work of Zombies!
"Whoosh—" The blade of Silver Soul glinted coldly as Lin Yi charged directly at Paul. Although he was clad in the War God Suit and had reached Eight-Star Peak combat power, he understood that no matter how weak an enemy appeared, one must never let their guard down. He needed to eliminate Paul before the effects of that blood-red pill took hold.
"Hold him off! Otherwise, we will all die!" Seeing Lin Yi charge without hesitation, Paul quickly retreated repeatedly. He knew the terror of Lin Yi; even though he was aware that his own power would rise to a terrifying level, it would be difficult to escape from Lin Yi's grasp!
"Roar—" At that moment, a sudden roar from Zombies erupted among the crowd! Lin Yi's heart sank as he immediately sensed a Zombie presence!
Just moments ago, there had been none; how could Zombies appear so suddenly? Although Lin Yi was anxious about Paul's whereabouts, he could not ignore the sudden emergence of these Zombies!
After calming himself, Lin Yi finally saw that the source of the roars came from several other officers. However, these officers were now radiating a strong aura of death; they were clearly no longer human!
Though they still retained their human forms, Lin Yi could distinctly see their exposed skin rapidly darkening and rotting!
These officers seemed completely unaware of their transformation; their eyes were filled only with bloodthirsty rage.
"Hehe—" A nameless officer who had already undergone partial Corpseification emitted a harsh, hoarse sound. Then they slowly drew their blades.
In just a few breaths' time, those officers who originally possessed only Star-Level Combat Power had nearly reached Five-Star strength! This transformation was naturally due to the blood-red pills they had just consumed, which were almost identical to Paul's—essentially a Zombie version of a Potential Gene Drug!

From the moment the five Zombies began their self-Corpseification to Lin Yi's swift execution of them, no more than five seconds had passed. Yet that brief span was enough for Paul to fully absorb the effects of the blood-red Corpseification pill.
After slaying these five half-Corpseified beings, Lin Yi sensed a powerful force erupting not far away, one that was dangerously close to an eight Star Level combat power. However, this force was exceedingly chaotic, like a turbulent current that could collapse at any moment!
"Kill him, or we're all done for!" Although Lin Yi had ruthlessly taken down several Star-Level Combat Power officers in quick succession, it was clear these individuals were desperate and understood that it was either them or him. At that moment, as Lin Yi turned around, several ordinary soldiers opened fire on him!
With a "whoosh," several orange bullets zipped past Lin Yi's figure and struck the soldiers across from him!
Lin Yi's perception was incredibly sharp. Even as those soldiers were formulating their thoughts, he sensed their murderous intent and swiftly dodged aside, leaving only an afterimage due to his incredible speed!
However, Lin Yi had no intention of killing these ordinary soldiers. He could feel that they were still human; he just couldn't understand why they were so frenzied!
As the astonished expressions of those around him froze on their faces, Lin Yi had already arrived beside Paul. Yet even though he had mentally prepared himself for what he might see, he was still taken aback by Paul's current appearance.
At this moment, Paul had grown more than twice his size. His entire body swelled with such mass that his veins were clearly visible beneath his skin; his form seemed to flow like liquid. Even more bizarrely, Paul's hands had vanished entirely, replaced by two long black tentacles over two meters in length, dripping with dark liquid!
"What is happening? How could this be?" Paul's eyes were wide as saucers, and his swollen face displayed an expression of disbelief.
What happened to this guy? Lin Yi paused for a moment; he hadn't expected Paul to be examining his own appearance after Corpseification instead of unleashing his formidable combat power!
"They deceived me, I have become a Zombie, I have become a Zombie." Paul kept murmuring, but even with such a massive figure, his voice sounded like a dull roar.
"Yes! You are a traitor to humanity, willingly becoming a Zombie!" Lin Yi's mind raced as he realized this was Paul's first time using that Corpseification pill; clearly, he couldn't accept his appearance after the transformation.
"It's all your fault! If it weren't for you, I would still be the proud Major General of the Iron Wolf Brigade!" Paul suddenly shuddered, his eyes filled with venomous hatred as he glared at Lin Yi.
"Hmph, you reap what you sow! If you want power, you must pay the price!" Lin Yi no longer hesitated; he sensed Jimmy and a large group approaching quickly. He needed to eliminate Paul swiftly!
"Clang clang—" Two Silver Souls shot toward Paul with the momentum of Soaring Dragon setting sail. Although Paul's size had grown to over three meters tall, Lin Yi knew that in the face of absolute power, size offered little advantage.
"You will all die!" The deranged Paul suddenly leaped into the crowd. His enormous form crashed down like a mountain, and several soldiers who couldn't dodge in time were crushed into a pile of mangled flesh beneath his massive foot!
Lin Yi didn't know how those soldiers would be dealt with afterward, but he wouldn't allow a Zombie to kill in front of him! With a raised brow, Lin Yi's Psychic Power began to whirl rapidly in his mind.
In the next moment, the Silver Soul that had been visible vanished from everyone's sight. Time seemed to lose its meaning as the Silver Soul disappeared and then reappeared right at Paul's neck!
"Damn it!" Feeling the chilling presence of the Silver Soul, Paul swung his arms, transformed into tentacles!
"Bang bang!" Lin Yi's seemingly foolproof attack was unexpectedly blocked by Paul’s arms! The Silver Soul had been reforged and was sharper than ever, yet it still couldn't sever a single tentacle.
Lin Yi raised an eyebrow and summoned another Silver Soul! At that moment, he gripped the hilt tightly with both hands, and suddenly his arms bulged with power.
"Slash!" In the next instant, Lin Yi shouted loudly as a three-meter-high Blade Qi surged toward Paul with unstoppable force.
"Roar—" Paul let out a thunderous roar, his eyes wide with fury. He suddenly brought his two arms together just as the Blade Qi struck.
A flash of blade light cut through the air, as if a sharp blade had sliced open the thick hide of the beast.
“Hahaha, you can’t kill me!” After the blade light passed, Paul suddenly burst into loud laughter. He had expected to be cleaved in two under the Blade Qi, but instead, only a portion of his tentacle was severed.
“Water drops wear away stone; let’s see who can outlast whom!” If Lin Yi hadn’t been considering that the Bright Mercenary Group was about to go out to hunt zombies and didn’t want to use too much power, he wouldn’t have hesitated so much.
However, now that Lin Yi was fully aware of the threat Paul posed, he unleashed his Blade Qi with all his might! Just as his words fell, a dazzling Blade Qi shot towards Paul!

At that moment, a horrifying scene unfolded. Paul’s already large mouth suddenly split open wider than ever, revealing sharp teeth glinting ominously. In the next moment, before anyone could react, Paul tossed the captured soldier into his mouth and began to chew with a crunching sound!
Paul was actually… eating a person!
