It felt surreal that someone met online would actually appear in real life, especially in this place overrun by Zombies!
Thinking of Zombies, Lin Yi immediately looked at Wang Zijun with caution. This seemingly harmless girl had an unsettling aura, especially with the two heavily intimidating Eight Star Level experts by her side. Such powerful individuals would hold significant status within the Mercenary Alliance, yet they were willingly subordinating themselves to a girl, which raised many questions.
"I wonder what Miss Wang wants to discuss with me; this doesn't seem like a very suitable place for a meeting," Wang Zijun said, acting overly familiar, but Lin Yi remained vigilant.
"Hey, Koala Uncle, why so serious? Are you afraid I might eat you?" The girl, no older than sixteen or seventeen, looked playful and charming. Even if Lin Yi tried to maintain a serious demeanor, he couldn't help but show cracks in his facade.

What shocked Lin Yi most was Wang Zijun's rank—she was actually a Second-Class Butler and also the Captain of a Mercenary group!
Lin Yi looked up at Wang Zijun with disbelief. Previously, Ying Sa had become a Mercenary group leader before turning twenty but lacked Butler rank. Yet here was Wang Zijun, under twenty years old and already a Second-Class Butler in the Mercenary Alliance and a Mercenary Captain.
"Lin Steward, Second-Class Butler Wang Zijun is here to greet you!" Wang Zijun smiled brightly at Lin Yi. Then she shook slightly, causing her well-developed figure to quiver.
Lin Yi's gaze flickered; he was still reeling from the sudden revelation of Wang Zijun's identity.
"Mr. Lin, we just arrived from the Greater London Defense Zone Mercenary Alliance. The main force is still behind us. What are your plans moving forward?" Alyah stepped closer to Lin Yi and took back the credential from his hand.
"Our current mission is to conduct a sweep of this town; Allied Forces will come later to establish a quarantine zone," Li Qiweng clarified after realizing that there had indeed been a misunderstanding.
Alyah frowned slightly; she sensed that while this girl had decent combat power, she was still only Six-Star level at best and clearly not someone who could make decisions. Wang Zijun could act recklessly, but as the leader of an entire Mercenary group, she bore significant responsibility and couldn't afford to be careless.
"This is our Vice Captain Li Qiweng; her opinions are naturally mine as well," Lin Yi noted carefully, aware of Alyah's expression.

The rest of the message detailed the competition's circumstances, which was indeed a contest where lives were at stake. This competition would take place simultaneously across six major regions: European Region, African Region, Asian Region, North America Region, South America Region, and Pacific Region. Each region would operate on a quarterly basis; participating Mercenary Squads could choose any region to hunt Zombies in. The squad with the best performance in each region during a quarter would be awarded the title of Mercenary King for that region, and naturally, its Captain would be recognized as the Mercenary King.
Of course, this title only applied to quarterly regional Mercenary Kings; the competition would continue until the Zombie issue was entirely resolved. Thus, after one quarter ended, it would carry on into subsequent quarters with cumulative results. If a squad proved to be the strongest in its region over four quarters, it would earn the title of Annual Mercenary King for that area.
Finally, all six regional Mercenary Kings would compete against each other; the squad that eliminated the most Zombies would be crowned as this generation's reigning Mercenary Squad, and its Captain would be honored as that era's Mercenary King!
With competition comes rewards; aside from Contribution Points earned from exterminating Zombies, regional quarterly Mercenary Kings and their teams would receive awards and honor medals from the Mercenary Alliance. The annual winners would receive awards and honor medals jointly presented by both the Mercenary Alliance and that region's Allied Forces. The reigning Mercenary King and their team would naturally receive top honors from both the Mercenary Alliance and Global Security Conference!
Lin Yi wasn't particularly eager for Contribution Points; however, he was very interested in gaining official recognition of his status. While the Mercenary Alliance wielded considerable power, it was still overshadowed by various countries' Allied Forces.
