The terrifying aura could only be emitted by a Nine Star Level expert. Lin Yi felt a rush of blood in his veins as he sensed the overwhelming presence. His once agile body now felt as heavy as lead, completely immobilized. It wasn't that the Nine Star Level Super Experts were doing anything to him; rather, it was Lin Yi's own fear of this power that rendered him unable to control his body.
"Hahaha! Just wait until you build your little nest; we'll catch you like fish in a barrel and see how ridiculous your struggles are!" Before anyone could react, a burst of maniacal laughter echoed through the air, reverberating across the vast Construction Site.
At that moment, everyone noticed a figure hovering in the sky. Strangely, behind this voice was a pair of wings, allowing the figure to float effortlessly above them.
"A flying Zombie?" Lin Yi's keen eyesight quickly identified the menacing figure as a Super Zombie.
Suddenly, the Zombie, which had been looking down upon everyone, caught sight of Lin Yi. In an instant, a flash of black light streaked through the air, and the flying Zombie, originally at least three hundred meters away, was suddenly right in front of Lin Yi.
With a sonic boom trailing behind it, a wave of black energy surged toward Lin Yi. He realized it was the shadow of the Zombie's fist. But at that moment, he felt completely frozen, unable to move at all.
"Ultimate danger! Ultimate danger! Please take cover!" The Intelligent System screamed desperately, its anthropomorphized voice tinged with panic.
However, in that split second, Lin Yi had no time to think further. Even before fear could fully grip him, death was already upon him.
"Boom—" A tremendous force swept over Lin Yi's head, and in its wake, the shockwave sent him tumbling backward several dozen meters!
"Kid, keep your life safe!" A commanding voice reached Lin Yi's ears. As he steadied himself and looked up, he saw a familiar silhouette several dozen meters away facing the flying Zombie.
"Old man, maybe you should think about saving your own skin first!" With that, the flying Zombie charged directly at the figure that had just saved Lin Yi.
Lin Yi barely had time to blink before the two figures clashed and vanished from sight. However, within the range of his Psychic Power, he could sense two raging forces colliding violently. The speed of their confrontation was so fast that Lin Yi could only feel the fluctuations of their power! Previously, when he was at mid-level Seven Star Combat Power, he could still perceive the attributes of Eight Star Level combat energy. But now, even with his enhanced abilities from the War God Suit, he could barely grasp the ferocity of their powers.
"Boom!" A deafening explosion echoed nearby. The towering Quarantine Wall, standing ten meters high and two meters thick not far from Lin Yi, suddenly collapsed under immense force. The wall that was about to close off now had a massive breach over ten meters long.
Dust filled the air. Engineers who had been working nearby were crushed beneath the falling debris; even in their final moments, they couldn't comprehend what had just happened.
Lin Yi understood; within his mental perception appeared four powerful presences—those same forces that had sent shivers down his spine earlier. What kind of power was this? Ordinary people would likely be crushed by their mere aura!
"Run!" Just as Lin Yi pondered how to die with dignity, a loud shout broke through his thoughts. He caught a whiff of an enticing fragrance wafting through his nostrils.
Li Qiweng's reflexes were sharper than Lin Yi's; as soon as the Intelligent System warned her to escape, she flew to Lin Yi's side and grabbed him before sprinting in the opposite direction.
As they moved, one of those four powerful presences surged toward them. With danger looming behind them like a sharp blade, they felt almost devoid of courage to resist!
In the next moment, Lin Yi sensed an energy wave rapidly approaching from their direction—a force so immense it was beyond his estimation; it must have been at least Nine Star Combat Power!
Just as Lin Yi was about to stop and engage in a fight, a new, domineering presence rushed past him!
"Scum, leave your life behind!" A powerful voice exploded in Lin Yi's ears, and he quickly realized that the two nearby Nine-Star Level presences had diminished to barely detectable energy fluctuations!
At that moment, Lin Yi finally understood that compared to the frenzied abilities of Eight-Star Level fighters, the key advantage of Nine-Star Level experts was their ability to restrain their energy to prevent leakage. This way, they could use all their power to eliminate their opponents without wasting their own strength.
Soon after, three new Nine-Star Level Super Experts arrived near the recently breached Quarantine Wall. However, before Lin Yi could discern who they were, they had already vanished.
Originally, Will had informed Lin Yi that only three Super Experts were coming, but it seemed that number had already been exceeded. Nevertheless, Lin Yi had no time to worry about others; after the ten Nine-Star Masters selected their opponents for battle, it was up to them to resolve the remaining conflicts.
This assault involved not just five Nine-Star Level experts; they also brought along twenty Eight-Star Level fighters and fifty Seven-Star Level experts! The Blood Envoy Mercenary Corps could only contend with this group of Seven-Star Level and above fighters with Lin Yi and Li Qiweng. Perhaps Renesmee and Nicolas could hold off one together, but ultimately they would not be able to match a Seven-Star Level expert!
"All teams, protect your members! If anyone dies, I'll hold the captain accountable!" Lin Yi shouted fiercely as he charged forward with Li Qiweng!

A smile crept onto Lin Yi's lips; he was no longer fighting alone!
"Swish—" At that moment, a sharp sound pierced the air as a dark Iron Rod came crashing toward Lin Yi with tremendous force.
"Hmph!" Lin Yi sneered; his War God Suit reacted instantly as he spun his body to evade what appeared to be a formidable strike. This opponent hadn't reached the Eight-Star Peak yet, meaning its strength was still slightly inferior to Lin Yi's!
The Eight-Star Level Zombie paused for a moment before summoning the Iron Rod back into its hand with a single gesture!
It turned out to be a Zombie with Psychic Power! Lin Yi was taken aback; although many human Star Level experts possessed Psychic Power, Zombies rarely exhibited such abilities due to their heads being eroded by the Zombie Virus!
In just an instant of thought, the opponent swung the Iron Rod at him again! Without hesitation, Lin Yi pushed off the ground with his legs and gripped his sword tightly, feeling his arms swell with power!
"Clang—" A resonating sound echoed as Lin Yi felt a tingling sensation in his arm! The force of his previous strike was enough to split mountains and shatter stones, yet it failed to sever the opponent's Iron Rod!
The Eight-Star Level Zombie seemed to anticipate this outcome; its previously wrinkled face twisted into something even more terrifying. In the next moment, it swung the Iron Rod down toward Lin Yi's head with crushing force!
"Move left twenty-five centimeters!" The Intelligent System quickly sensed the danger and directed Lin Yi to shift left.
"Boom—" A deafening sound erupted as a dark hole with a diameter of barely twenty centimeters appeared beside Lin Yi! The Eight-Star Zombie's strike had been controlled so precisely that there was almost no excess energy released. As a result, it created a bottomless pit rather than just a large crater!
Lin Yi frowned; this was not the time for hesitation between life and death. Just as the Zombie's rod came crashing down, Lin Yi gripped his sword with one hand and aimed for the Eight-Star Zombie's head!
The Eight-Star Zombie clearly did not expect Lin Yi to pass by so easily, and even have time to swing his knife at himself! The battle between two opponents of the same level would not differ too much, but just as Lin Yi swung his knife, the Zombie suddenly crouched down!
At that moment, something bizarre occurred. The Eight-Star Zombie's originally thin arm suddenly swelled up like the tentacles of an octopus, directly reaching for Lin Yi's ankle!
Under normal circumstances, Lin Yi had already focused most of his attention on exerting force with his left hand, leaving no time for the rest of his body to react!
However, Lin Yi had the War God Suit! Just as the Zombie's arm began to swell, the War God Suit immediately responded!
With a whoosh, two jets of scorching light blue flames erupted from the soles of Lin Yi's feet, and in the next moment, he soared into the air!
With this combination, Lin Yi had already locked onto the Eight-Star Combat Power Zombie beneath him with the Laser Beam on his arm!
The Eight-Star Zombie felt a sudden numbness in its head and for some reason recalled a time when it was weaker, worrying about being devoured by powerful beings or having its head blown off by humans!
In the next instant, a Laser Beam as thick as a baby's arm descended and pierced through the head of the Eight-Star Zombie. Its once intact body was instantly split into two incomplete halves.
Just as Lin Yi let out a sigh of relief, a loud shout echoed through the air: "Oh no, they have an ambush! We need to retreat!"
"Hahaha, it's too late! Today you will learn who is truly trapped like fish in a barrel!" A confident voice rang out in response!
