Four hundred meters from the summit, chaos had erupted. More and more Zombies were climbing up from the base of the mountain, and most of these Zombies were formidable Giant Zombies. Although they had the advantage of terrain, the relentless charge of the Giant Zombies was overwhelming.
Pachy was currently responsible for repelling the Zombies from the north. He led both new and veteran members of the Blood Envoy Mercenary Corps, stationed at several balconies, firing downwards. Since the Zombies were climbing up from the base and the mountain was nearly vertical, there were few obstacles to their line of sight, but Pachy and his team struggled to find stable footing for their shots.
Flower Cannon had a rope tied around his waist; with only his toes resting on the balcony's edge, he was almost suspended in mid-air. His Heavy Sniper Rifle was no longer usable at this moment; instead, he held an improved extended Laser Gun. He braced the stock against his shoulder, eyes focused below.
"Old Flower, three o'clock!" Tony shouted. His shooting skills were not as strong as Flower Cannon's. At that moment, he held a Searchlight, also half-suspended like Flower Cannon, tasked with locating Zombies for him.
"Whoosh!" Just as Tony finished speaking, Flower Cannon spotted a Zombie preparing to climb up and immediately fired a beam of laser energy. The intense heat penetrated through the top of the Zombie's head, rendering it nearly powerless.
"Well done! Hey, move ten meters to ten o'clock, quickly!" Just as Tony was about to praise Flower Cannon further, another Zombie dashed towards the mountainside beneath the light pole.
Flower Cannon's reaction speed had significantly improved since his time with the Lone Wolf Mercenary Group. As soon as Tony called out ten o'clock, Flower Cannon had already twisted his body. The rope and his leather Combat Suit squeaked as they rubbed together. Just as Tony finished speaking, a laser beam shot out; clearly, Lin Yi had already spotted that Zombie himself.
There were twenty-five such combinations like Flower Cannon and Tony in the north; the rest were primarily from Bruh's previous team. Their training was comprehensive, making it easy to find twenty-five skilled marksmen. Pachy had followed Lin Yi for so long that he naturally bore a heavier responsibility. At that moment, he was like a firefighter in a blaze—running wherever help was needed.
Despite having a Sniper Team of twenty-five members, facing thousands of Zombies meant that even with rapid-fire capabilities, they could not completely stop all the Zombies below. Each balcony gathered several people responsible for clearing out any Zombies lurking in sniper blind spots.
Suddenly, Pachy's ears twitched slightly; in the next moment, his expression changed as he looked up at the sky.
"Not good! The Undead Bird is coming down!" As soon as Pachy saw the Undead Bird diving down like a spear, he instantly recognized the threat it posed.
"We're retreating!" Flower Cannon pushed off with his toes against the ground and swung himself sideways. In an instant, he grabbed onto the edge of the rock wall with one arm and pulled himself back onto the balcony with a powerful motion.
"Tony, above!" Although Flower Cannon moved quickly, the Undead Bird was also descending rapidly. Just as Flower Cannon steadied himself and prepared to pull Tony back up, an Undead Bird had already swooped down right above Tony's head, seemingly ready to stab its dark beak into Tony's skull.
"What the hell! What is that?!" Tony turned just in time to see a dark mass reeking of foul odor rushing towards him. Almost instinctively, he swung his arm hard and smashed his portable Searchlight towards the Undead Bird.
With a loud crack of bones breaking, Tony's combat prowess was at least at Star Level; combined with the weight of the Searchlight in his hand, even something made of iron would have been crushed under such force.
"Hold steady!" Tony exclaimed. Just after delivering a blow, he suddenly felt a sharp tug at his waist, and in an instant, he found himself back on the balcony.
Before Tony could even say thank you, he saw Flower Cannon press a button next to the balcony. The next moment, a loud grinding noise filled the air as a massive stone slab fell from above.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!" At that moment, several Undead Birds crashed into the stone door, creating a cacophony of violent impacts.
"Thank goodness!" Flower Cannon patted his chest, relief washing over his face. But in the next instant, his expression changed as he stomped down towards Tony's feet.
With a sharp crack, an Undead Bird that had just poked its head through was crushed under Flower Cannon's foot. Just then, with a loud boom, the stone door finally closed.
Before Tony could recover from his shock, a shout came from the entrance: "The Undead Birds are coming in! Everyone, close the stone door quickly!"
Flower Cannon frowned and dashed outside. Chaos reigned beyond the threshold. Suddenly, he heard several hoarse "cawing" sounds and the flapping of wings.
A piercing screech followed, and Flower Cannon rolled to the side just in time to avoid a vicious attack. He quickly raised one hand and aimed his Laser Gun at an Undead Bird that was about to pounce.
"Bang!" Flower Cannon fired almost point-blank at the Undead Bird's head, obliterating most of its skull. However, the Laser Beam continued its trajectory, blasting a dark hole in the ceiling and sending debris raining down.
"What the hell! No—Hehe..." As Flower Cannon turned around, he saw a Mercenary clutching his neck, where a massive Undead Bird was desperately gulping down blood gushing from its severed arteries.

After a brief moment of panic, Lin Yi realized he lacked flying abilities. Reaching the stone chamber four hundred meters from the mountaintop would be quite challenging even for him. Individual strength always seemed trivial in the face of collective power; Lin Yi felt as if he possessed no capacity for large-scale destruction.
With a swift motion, Lin Yi decapitated an Undead Bird. The air was thick with Electric Net Orbs, significantly diminishing the attacks from the Undead Birds. The Mercenaries on the mountaintop were retreating in an orderly fashion; within just a minute, most had already made it inside. Only a few Mercenaries with Two-Star combat power remained on top of the mountain, including Lin Yi and Beatrice.
Although Renesmee had regained some color by now, she likely couldn't cast an extensive Frozen Domain spell and needed Lulu's support to move quickly.
"Lulu, help Renee inside!" Lin Yi called out as he noticed Renesmee still on the mountaintop and swiftly moved to her side.
"Thank you so much for your help, Lulu. Otherwise, I would probably take a year to recover!" To Lin Yi's surprise, Renesmee suddenly blurted this out without any context.
Lin Yi was taken aback. Although he knew that Lulu had some basic medical skills, he didn't expect her to help Renesmee recover so quickly. He had thought that Renesmee was recovering on her own.
"Boss, I don't know what happened either. When I saw Renee just now, I felt a familiar sensation as soon as I entered Consciousness. Then I held her hand and closed my eyes, feeling like the entire world was filled with this black substance. And it felt really good; I felt like I had become incredibly powerful all of a sudden. Beatrice exclaimed after slaying the last few Undead Birds. The Electric Net Orb finally exhausted its energy and fell to the ground, turning into a dark sphere.
