In the moment when the flash of light shone brightly, Lin Yi snapped back to reality from his brief daze.
"Hello everyone, I am Lin Yi." There was not a single familiar face in the room, so Lin Yi could only greet everyone vaguely. Although he knew that the elderly man was likely the highest-ranking person present, he couldn't neglect the others.
"Hello, Lin Steward! I am Cook!" The old man spoke first, his face beaming with a warm smile that made him seem very approachable.
"Mr. Cook is our alliance's head of the European Region and also the Second Speaker of the Alliance Council!" someone beside Cook added.
Lin Yi nodded in acknowledgment. Cook gestured for the person who had provided the explanation to stop and continued introducing other individuals to Lin Yi. Among them, besides Cook, there was also a Fifth Speaker. Most of the Butlers were busy with their tasks, many of them currently engaged in frontline resistance against the advancing Zombies.
Through each introduction, Lin Yi finally learned about the identities of these forty or so people. Most were members of the alliance, with the lowest rank being a Third-Class Butler. They were mostly present in London, while some had come from the European Continent. A few local dignitaries were also present; these individuals represented large corporations. However, what surprised Lin Yi was that a representative from London City Hall had also come to congratulate him and promised that as long as Lin Yi faithfully fulfilled his duties, the city government would do its best to provide him with relevant conveniences.

The banquet concluded after two hours. Lin Yi, unable to hold his liquor, had been nearly drunk from all the drinks poured into him. Although Europeans were generally pragmatic, they wouldn't miss such a rare opportunity to let loose. Ultimately, it was Chairman Cook who had to leave due to other matters and noticed that Lin Yi could no longer drink any more; thus, he announced the end of the banquet.
Lin Yi, who was not fond of alcohol, was already inebriated beyond coherence, and Jerry was even worse off—he had long since been hugging a bottle and talking to himself.
Despite being unable to stand straight from intoxication, Lin Yi's mind still retained some consciousness. He saw Cook wave goodbye before leaving with a smile. Afterward, with the assistance of hotel staff, Lin Yi made his way step by step into the elevator while Jerry was carried in by several people.
Lin Yi's accommodation was not far from the top floor and they arrived quickly. The staff initially intended to continue assisting him, but he preferred not to have strangers lingering in his room and asked them to leave directly.
The numbing effect of alcohol was still significant; even with Lin Yi's currently abnormal physique, he felt quite uncomfortable. Everything in the room appeared hazy; even his sense of hearing and smell had dulled considerably. He sat on the sofa in his room, unable to sleep or move freely.
Time passed without him noticing how long it had been when he seemed to catch a whiff of an alluring fragrance wafting through. However, when he opened his bleary eyes and looked around, he found nothing unusual. Being half-drunk was quite irritating; Lin Yi forced himself to muster some energy and walked toward the bathroom to prepare for a shower.
Cool droplets of water fell on Lin Yi's body, further dissipating some of his drunkenness. He squeezed out a generous amount of body wash and applied it all over himself while scrubbing vigorously, believing that scrubbing hard would help expel the alcohol from his system faster. He wasn't sure if this method actually worked but just wanted to wake up completely as soon as possible.
With his eyes closed, Lin Yi groped around for a towel but found nothing at the spot he remembered; instead, when he pulled back his hand, he accidentally touched a towel. Eager to dry his face, he didn't think much about it and grabbed the towel to rub it on his face.
Suddenly, a chill ran down Lin Yi's spine; he felt as if someone had appeared nearby and was staring intently at him. Feeling somewhat guilty, he opened his eyes. The steam from the shower had filled the glass bathroom completely, making everything appear blurry. He turned on the dryer and stumbled out.
There was nothing there; however, Lin Yi still felt as though something had suddenly changed in this room. But now with a throbbing headache, he couldn't afford to dwell on it too much.
Shaking his head slightly, Lin Yi crawled into bed as the room's lighting adjusted to a comfortable dimness.
Everything seemed to pass just like that. Half-asleep, Lin Yi lay comfortably under the covers and stretched lazily. In the next moment, he felt his fingers brush against something soft and warm.
Lin Yi was startled. What had he just touched? Although he was extremely fatigued, he still forced himself to rise against the overwhelming drowsiness and the dizziness brought on by alcohol.
Fueled by liquid courage, Lin Yi suddenly threw back a corner of the blanket, revealing a cascade of golden hair in his line of sight. As if disturbed, the golden hair began to stir. Before Lin Yi could get a clear look, a stunningly beautiful woman’s face appeared before him.
The woman had brows like crescent moons, her eyes half-closed in slumber, her skin smooth and delicate, making one’s heart ache. Beneath the silk blanket, her soft chest was partially exposed, and her golden hair fell carelessly around her, exuding an irresistible allure. Lin Yi almost unconsciously reached out to touch her tender cheek, where his hand met skin as soft as a baby’s.
Suddenly, the woman smiled. This casual smile lit up the room, radiating warmth and charm that tugged at Lin Yi's heartstrings. In that moment, all he wanted was to embrace her fully and indulge in passion.
However, Lin Yi remained himself; he did not make any further moves. He simply gazed at the woman as if admiring a finely crafted painting. At that moment, he couldn’t tell if this was a dream or reality, but if it were a dream, he hoped it would last a little longer.
Seeing that Lin Yi made no other moves, the woman frowned slightly. Even this small gesture was filled with infinite charm. Lin Yi instinctively leaned closer; he wanted to be nearer to her.
“Do you miss me?” she asked as she lifted her head and pressed her face against his, her breath fragrant like orchids.
Lin Yi felt a tingling sensation in his ears; his breathing quickened involuntarily. His previously motionless hand slowly slid down from her face. His touch was gentle; he didn’t want to tarnish this most beautiful moment, so his caress was filled with tenderness.
“Hmm…” The woman couldn’t help but let out a few soft sounds that were irresistibly enchanting and stirred Lin Yi’s heart deeply.
Lin Yi greedily caressed her silky skin while desperately trying to savor the blush on her lips. Her hands wrapped around his neck, delicate as if they had no bones, tracing along his back.
Suddenly, as Lin Yi had just lifted his head, he felt a sweetness in his mouth—a hot, fragrant lip pressed firmly against his own without hesitation, prying open his lips. A tender tongue danced freely within his mouth; for a moment, it was intoxicatingly delightful, sending electric sensations coursing through his body.

A loud knocking at the door jolted Lin Yi from an inexplicable sense of falling. The effects of last night’s drunkenness still lingered; he felt a splitting headache. However, the urgent knocking outside compelled him to signal the Intelligent System to open the door automatically. This system wouldn’t unlock without permission from the room's owner.
Jerry burst in with a beaming expression and informed Lin Yi that Qi Wei was waiting outside and that matters should have been settled by now.
Lin Yi rubbed his temples and casually threw back the covers to get out of bed and dress.
“Ah—Boss!” Jerry suddenly screamed, his expression turning complex.
Lin Yi looked down and realized he was completely naked! Although he occasionally slept bare at home, he had never indulged in such a habit outside!
"Lin Yi" quickly pulled up the blanket and signaled "Jerry" to leave. As the awkward scene unfolded, "Lin Yi" felt his mind clear up significantly, and the dreamlike events of the previous night flashed in his memory. He tossed aside the blanket and searched around, but found nothing. The air was filled with a faint scent of body fragrance, as if reminding "Lin Yi" that what happened last night was real. However, his memories of the night were too hazy to recall anything clearly.
"Jerry" was urging him from outside, so "Lin Yi" had no choice but to get up and hurry out.
In a designated meeting room at the hotel, "Qi Wei" and "Li Yao" were already waiting. "Ouyang Shasha" was also present, but looking at her face and her high, golden hair made "Lin Yi" feel a bit strange. At that moment, "Ouyang Shasha" even smiled at him, as if they were old friends meeting again.
"Lin Steward," "Qi Wei" said as he stood up and handed a file folder to "Lin Yi." "I could have avoided dealing with these matters, but considering you might not be familiar with the relevant procedures, I took it upon myself."
Inside the folder was the agreement for this signing; "Lin Yi" flipped through it silently. First was an apology statement from "Darknight Vampire," followed by compensation issues and various guarantees. What surprised "Lin Yi" the most was that "Darknight Vampire" was compensating him with two hundred thousand "Contribution Points," all under the names of those kidnapped, including "Aoling Er."
"The biggest problem now is that they have already transferred 'Aoling Er' and others to Rome, but they currently lack the ability to bring them back. The proximity of Rome to the Mediterranean has led to an overwhelming presence of nearby zombies and marine creatures affected by corpseification; they are almost at our doorstep, making it impossible for flights to take off!" "Qi Wei's" face showed sorrow; the increasingly severe zombie disturbances had nearly engulfed the globe.
"I'll handle this matter," "Lin Yi" declared. He knew he could only rely on himself now; he couldn't abandon his team.
"Qi Wei" and "Li Yao" stood up to leave, while "Jerry" walked them out. "Lin Yi" prepared to head back to his room to contact the "Blood Envoy Mercenary Corps," needing to discuss how to rescue their comrades.
"As for 'Lin Steward,' getting drunk last night was quite something, wasn't it... hee hee..." Just as "Lin Yi" reached the door, "Ouyang Shasha," who had remained silent until now, suddenly spoke up but laughed at her own words before finishing.
Hearing her giggle made "Lin Yi's" head buzz.
