If a problem can be solved with violence, then it is not a real problem. 0

Lin Yi glanced at Douglas, and their Psychic Powers intersected, creating an invisible Consciousness that collided briefly. Others around them were completely unaware that a genuine exchange had taken place. 0

Suddenly, the Lone Wolf, who had been under Douglas's control, burst forth like a wild horse breaking free from its reins. Just moments ago, he had looked exhausted, but now his expression returned to normal, revealing a hint of exhilaration at having escaped his restraints. Although he did not understand why he could suddenly break free from Douglas's mental grip, escaping Lin Yi's clutches was his most urgent priority. 0

However, the Lone Wolf's moment of relief lasted less than a second before he saw a massive shadow charging toward him with overwhelming force. 0

"Smack!" The Lone Wolf felt as if he had been struck hard across the face, and instantly half of his head went numb from the blow, leaving only the buzzing in his ears to remind him that he was still conscious. 0

"Thud!" Another dull sound echoed as a wave of tearing pain surged through his abdomen. Before he could even scream, a foot with the stench of dirt kicked him hard in the mouth, sending most of his teeth straight down his throat. But the nightmare did not end there; in the next moment, he received dozens of slaps across his face. The relentless barrage made the world around him spin, and his mind descended into chaos. 0

The assault continued for another minute. The Lone Wolf was left with no strength to shout. Though the beating lasted only a brief minute, Lin Yi's rapid strikes left him unable to recall how many times he had been hit; it felt as if every part of his body had taken a heavy blow. This was only possible because of the Lone Wolf's exceptional physical condition; anyone else would have perished under Lin Yi's "moderate" attacks. Even so, the Lone Wolf was now gasping for breath. 0

He had nearly lost all control over his body and could only vaguely sense that he was floating. In an instant, he seemed to enter an ethereal state as his Consciousness began to blur. A nightmarish voice invaded his mind, incessantly asking him questions. Despite his best efforts to resist, the exhaustion stemming from his soul led his thoughts to be guided by an unusual force, completely stripping him of autonomy. 0

Three minutes later, after Jerry's repeated inquiries, they had learned everything they wanted to know with absolute certainty. 0

The massacre that caused Aoling Er and others to go missing was indeed carried out by the Darknight Vampire group. Furthermore, Aoling Er and her companions had not managed to escape far before being captured by them. As for the current situation, the Lone Wolf was unclear; he had learned about it by chance. Surprisingly, it turned out that the Lone Wolf Mercenary Group was involved in this assassination mission against Lin Yi on behalf of the Mercenary Alliance! If there was an irreconcilable feud with the Darknight Vampire group, then their conflict with the Mercenary Alliance had not yet escalated to complete annihilation beyond offending Graham and Anthony. 0

"We need to return to the Defense Zone immediately and refrain from taking on any new missions for now. Our only priority is to rescue Aoling Er and understand the Mercenary Alliance's intentions!" Lin Yi declared as he waved for everyone to get back into the vehicle. Just moments after escaping, they found themselves surrounded by Zombies once again. 0

Pachy rummaged through the vehicle for some fuel and tossed it onto the corpses to incinerate them; otherwise, these bodies would eventually become food for the Zombies. As for the Lone Wolf, there were still hundreds in his team left alive that needed to be dealt with before he could be killed. 0

The acrid smell of burning flesh rose sharply along with waves of heat. From a distance, the sudden fire pit looked bizarre against the dark night sky. Lin Yi and his team took several Bulletproof Vehicles left behind by the Lone Wolf’s group since they had already brought nearly one-tenth of Greater Paris Defense Zone's Bulletproof Transport Vehicles with them on this outing. 0

As they drew closer to Greater Paris’s artillery defense zone, there were fewer Zombies around—only sporadic attacks occurred. However, under fire from several Bullet Head vehicles equipped with Artillery, those Zombies fell like moths drawn to flames without return. After controlling the Lone Wolf, they discovered that their Transport Vehicle's communication system had already been sabotaged by him. To lure Zombies into attacking Lin Yi’s team, they had even resorted to firing artillery early to "tease" those Zombies that had not yet surrounded them. 0

Lin Yi looked at the Lone Wolf lying on the ground like a pile of dead meat, a strong sense of disgust rising within him. He had always preferred to eliminate those who wished to kill him swiftly. However, he felt that killing this person easily was not a good idea, or perhaps he simply did not want to let him off so easily. 0

After several repeated calls, Lin Yi and his team finally managed to contact Ying Sa's troops, who were currently engaged in a final fierce battle against the encircled Zombies. However, they were suffering heavy losses, as there were still thousands of civilians needing their protection. Although Old John had brought a group of people to join the fight, dealing with ten thousand Zombies would still require significant effort, even for a Mercenary group led by Lone Wolf. 0

Lin Yi's convoy accelerated and within about ten minutes, they spotted Ying Sa's Mercenary group trapped in the siege. Without hesitation, Lin Yi's convoy immediately launched an assault on the surrounding Zombies. 0

The sound of rapid cannon fire filled the night sky as Lin Yi sat quietly in the driver's seat, watching outside without saying a word. Although this area had previously been attacked by ten thousand Zombies, thanks to Ying Sa's fierce fighting, only about half remained, and there were almost no Giant Zombies left. It seemed that those Giant Zombies had already been eliminated by Ying Sa's forces, as just moments ago Lin Yi had seen a newly emerged Giant Zombie being burned away at the torso by two powerful Laser Beams. 0

As the number of Zombies decreased, Ying Sa's forces began to gain the upper hand, and their casualties were also being controlled. The convoy led by Ying Sa consisted of dozens of Bulletproof Transport Vehicles, boasting formidable firepower. The Bulletproof Transport Vehicles themselves served as excellent defensive barriers; ordinary Zombies posed no lethal threat to them. The casualties among Ying Sa’s troops were primarily due to overcrowding inside the Bulletproof Vehicles during combat. 0

Lin Yi's convoy quickly attracted a large number of Zombies. At this moment, everyone was still under the influence of the Potential Gene Drug they had taken earlier and naturally abandoned using firearms to directly engage in melee combat with the Zombies. 0

Although it was their first time using the Potential Gene Drug and they had not yet mastered their killing techniques, their ghostly speed and unparalleled strength made the Zombies appear as clumsy children in their eyes; they could almost take down one with each strike. In just one minute, hundreds of encroaching Zombies were slaughtered. 0

Not far away, several hidden Giant Zombies saw this scene and roared angrily as they charged forward despite the danger posed by concentrated fire from large Laser Guns. 0

Seeing five Giant Zombies rushing toward him from afar, Lin Yi raised an eyebrow and transformed into a blur as he dashed out of the vehicle. Aside from Pachy, no one else who had taken the Potential Gene Drug had experience directly confronting Giant Zombies. Lin Yi did not want any casualties and decided to handle those Zombies himself. 0

Outside, amidst the fierce battle, Pachy and others felt a gust of wind rush past them as the newly arrived Giant Zombies began to roar frantically. The next moment, Lin Yi's figure appeared; with a flash of cold light from his Silver Soul blade, he decapitated the first Zombie. 0

At that moment, three Zombies surrounded Lin Yi but soon realized he had thrown his Silver Soul blade while he himself ducked down. 0

The thrown Silver Soul did not soar high; it merely reached neck level of the Giant Zombie. 0

With a whirring sound, the two blades of Silver Soul spun rapidly together for several turns before slicing through the heads of the three Zombies that had just surrounded Lin Yi. 0

The three-headed Zombie fell to the ground, and Lin Yi pushed off the ground with force, propelling himself into the air. The Silver Soul returned to his hand. Now, only the last Giant Zombie remained, and he was ready to pursue it relentlessly. 0

"Lin Yi!" Pachy suddenly shouted from behind, "Leave this one to me!" 0

"Alright!" Lin Yi responded, turning to kick at the charging Giant Zombie, using the momentum to bounce back. 0

Pachy's strength was undeniable. As soon as Lin Yi retreated, he had already moved forward. The Giant Zombie wielded an Iron Rod, but Lin Yi's speed had been too quick for it to react. This time, Lin Yi's retreat gave the last Giant Zombie the chance to draw its weapon. 0

Lin Yi didn't pay attention to Pachy's actions; instead, he led the remaining group to eliminate the ordinary Zombies. Their speed was several levels faster than those who were shooting from a distance. Theoretically, as long as they weren't fatigued, their reaction time allowed them to kill an average of six Zombies per second. 0

Just as everyone unleashed their primal instincts and savagely slaughtered their foes, the remaining thousands of Zombies suddenly turned and began to flee into the darkness. 0

"Are they retreating?" Lin Yi rubbed his chin in disbelief. Since his first battle with Zombies, they had never retreated! 0

Watching the tide of Zombies withdraw, everyone was momentarily stunned, even forgetting to attack. By the time they reacted, most of the Zombies had already vanished into the shadows. 0

"Lin Yi!" A voice filled with surprise and joy called out from a distance. Lin Yi's heart skipped a beat; he knew who it was, or rather, his Consciousness enjoyed that person's concern immensely. 0

Ying Sa resembled a girl waiting for her brother to return with beautiful candies. Upon seeing Lin Yi, she completely forgot her current identity and fluttered toward him like a dancing butterfly. 0
