The same event can evoke a thousand different thoughts from a thousand different people, and even in the face of the Zombie Crisis sweeping across humanity, not everyone can maintain a unified pace. Some risk their lives to hunt Zombies, hoping to create a safer world, while others selfishly seek to "protect" these Zombies for their own gain. 0

The once smooth and tidy floor of the hall now buzzed with noise. The floorboards near the walls were rapidly pushed upward, filling the room with a violent and bloody stench. The rising structures were massive iron cages over two meters tall, each containing several Giant Zombies. A rough count revealed about forty of them. Lin Yi felt a chill in his heart; this was his first time facing these formidable Giant Zombies alone. 0

The iron cages holding the Zombies were stained with blood, and Lin Yi could see numerous scattered bones smeared with blood littering the cages. Upon seeing Lin Yi, the Zombies began to roar excitedly, as if they were wolves spotting prey. They needed flesh and blood to grow stronger. 0

"Roar~" The grotesque faces bared their teeth at Lin Yi, sharp fangs exposed as if ready to deliver a fatal blow. Maggot-sized larvae wriggled on their decaying limbs, and suddenly, one crawled close to the mouth of a Zombie covered in festering sores. In an instant, the Zombie shot out its dark tongue and licked the maggot into its mouth. Its cheeks bulged as it savored the morsel, a look of pleasure crossing its face before it licked its lips in satisfaction. 0

"You are actually feeding these Zombies! You should go to hell!" Lin Yi shouted angrily, shocked by this unimaginable act that completely violated the lowest moral standards of humanity. 0

"Hahaha~" Laughter erupted from all around the hall. "Why shouldn't I feed them? They're so obedient; as long as you give them meat, they won't cause trouble. Isn't that better than many people?" 0

"You’re insane!" Lin Yi yelled back. 0

"I may be insane, but there are those crazier than me. The whole world has gone mad; I'm just trying to survive by joining in on the madness!" 0

As soon as he finished speaking, the iron cages that had contained the Zombies opened automatically. The Zombies, fixated on Lin Yi, charged at him wildly. 0

"They've been hungry for days; I think you'll enjoy them. Good luck!" The voice laughed maniacally, filled with frenzied desperation. 0

Lin Yi had no time to deal with his opponent; what was once a spacious hall was now packed with Zombies. Fortunately, he still held onto his “Silver Soul”; otherwise, it would be tough to face these monsters barehanded. 0

With two sharp sounds of swords being drawn, two “Silver Souls” controlled by Lin Yi surged forward. He leaped into action, grasping the handles of his weapons. 0

The cold light danced once more in this shimmering silver space, and every swing resulted in another Zombie's head rolling to the ground. 0

Lin Yi swiftly darted in front of a Zombie, one with a shattered jaw and bulging eyes. He felt a wave of nausea wash over him, but he narrowed his eyes and swung his blade at the creature's decaying neck. Despite the Zombie towering over him by two heads, it did not hinder Lin Yi's performance. To him, those Giant Zombies, which appeared powerful and swift to others, seemed like nothing more than paper giants—imposing yet fragile. 0

Just as Lin Yi closed in, the jawless Zombie finally reacted. It caught the scent of flesh and became even more agitated. 0

With a whoosh, a gust of wind rushed past. Lin Yi smirked; he did not take this Zombie seriously. 0

He executed a quick leap to the upper left of the Zombie, narrowly avoiding its sharp, black-clawed hands. Immediately after, he raised his left hand to defend while his right hand struck down, severing the Zombie's head in one swift motion. This all happened in less than a breath; Lin Yi had already achieved his first kill. At that moment, at least half of the Zombies were still struggling to escape from their iron cage, while those that had emerged had barely taken a step. Lin Yi's speed was such that it felt as if time itself had paused. 0

Filthy, foul-smelling liquids erupted from the neck of the decapitated Zombie, and the mixture of black and red fluid only heightened the frenzy of the other Zombies. Lin Yi remained vigilant; after dispatching one Zombie, he immediately struck again, beheading another that had just poked its head out. 0

Like a nimble fish, Lin Yi weaved between the Zombies, who were unable to leverage their size effectively. The Zombies attempted to grab him, but it was akin to a group of unruly children trying to catch a fish in water—full of brute strength yet perpetually outmaneuvered. Unlike those children, however, these Zombies were not so fortunate; they either had an arm or leg severed by Lin Yi or were nearly cut in half or outright decapitated. 0

The sound of "thud thud" echoed continuously as each noise signified another Zombie losing its fighting capability. The Silver Soul in Lin Yi's hand was like a reaper of death; each gleam of his blade signaled evil's submission. However, as time passed, Lin Yi began to sense something amiss. He realized that these Zombies were significantly stronger than any Abomination he had encountered before. On several occasions when three Giant Zombies surrounded him simultaneously, he nearly got caught. 0

Though Lin Yi wouldn't claim his agility was lightning-fast, he believed he could handle these mutated Zombies without issue. Yet now he felt increasingly strained; his strikes were missing more often, indicating that these Zombies were becoming harder to deal with. 0

With a series of booming sounds, Lin Yi leaped toward one Giant Zombie and unleashed dozens of kicks against its chest, collapsing its ribcage. Despite this assault, the Zombie still retained some fighting spirit. In desperation and exhaustion, Lin Yi quickly twisted his waist and used his blade to separate another pursuing Zombie's upper body from its lower half. 0

At this moment, Lin Yi had already slain eight Giant Zombies consecutively; however, over twenty other Zombies finally completed their encirclement around him. He stood like a child in a land of giants, facing more than twenty Giant Zombies towering over two meters tall. 0

"Roar!" The innermost Zombies lunged at Lin Yi simultaneously. They extended their foul-smelling arms covered in black hair, attempting to tear away every piece of flesh from his body for a satisfying meal. But Lin Yi would not allow himself to be devoured; just as their arms closed in on him, he swung his blade once more to protect himself. 0

Lin Yi slightly lifted one foot; muscles in his waist bulged instantly. Then veins popped on his forehead as he transformed into a rapidly spinning top, moving with incredible speed. 0

The claws of the four approaching Zombies were instantly shredded, the immense force scattering the crushed bones in all directions. The surrounding Zombies were drawn to the fragments, their once hideous faces now even more grotesque and riddled with holes. One Zombie had its skull sliced off halfway by a swiftly flying shard of bone, exposing wriggling white maggots and a mix of gray and black brain matter inside. 0

Lin Yi seized the opportunity, leaping into the air with a spin before the second wave of attacks could arrive. The unfortunate Zombie, now missing its skull, became Lin Yi's target. He delivered a powerful kick to its chin, causing it to tilt backward. The little brain matter it had was flung out along with the maggots, leaving its head an empty shell. Lin Yi then used the momentum to pivot back, his blade already positioned in front of him as he thrust it toward another Zombie's nape. 0

With a sharp sound, the blade pierced through flesh and bone as Lin Yi's Silver Soul impaled the Zombie's head. He then twisted his wrist sharply, and with a swift motion, he severed most of the Zombie's head from its body. 0

Zombies felt no pain and knew no fear; they possessed only the most primitive instincts. Thus, despite Lin Yi dispatching ten Zombies in less than thirty seconds, it did nothing to halt the advance of the remaining ones. Lin Yi found himself still surrounded; every time he attempted to break free, more Zombies closed in around him. 0

To end this battle, all these Zombies had to fall. Lin Yi closed his eyes for a moment before leaping into the air and landing on one Zombie's shoulder. 0

With a thud, the Zombie buckled under his weight, its knee shattering like glass dropped from a height. 0

Using this force, Lin Yi jumped behind the encirclement, and then an astonishing scene unfolded. His figure moved at an almost imperceptible speed behind the Zombies. When he left one Zombie’s side, it was already cleaved in two; even if it remained alive, it could only crawl forward in place. 0

Before these Zombies could react, Lin Yi utilized his incredible speed to reduce ten of them to nearly zero combat effectiveness. Previously, he had been executing them with decapitation techniques that wasted time. Now he sought not to kill them with one blow but to significantly diminish their fighting power, which greatly increased his efficiency in eliminating them. In just a few blinks of an eye, seven or eight Zombies were cut in half. 0

Suddenly, an eerie sound echoed in Lin Yi's ears, sending a chilling sensation coursing through him. 0
