There had been bold individuals before, but none as audacious as this. A few burly men responsible for security were feeling the weight of a long, dull night when they suddenly spotted a young man, around twenty years old, approaching them as casually as if he were strolling through his own garden. They found it utterly unbelievable. However, being well-trained Special Forces, they hesitated not for a moment. 0

"Click!" They instantly disengaged the safety on their rifles, aiming their weapons at the brazen young man. If he dared to take another step forward, they would turn him into Swiss cheese. 0

The young man seemed unfazed, maintaining an innocent expression as he looked at the four Special Forces members. His eyes sparkled with brightness but were not blinding. To the soldiers, it felt like a warm glow, a long-lost comfort, and soon they began to think how wrong it was to point their guns at such a kind-looking person. He smiled at me; he must be a good person, they all thought in unison. I should pretend I didn’t see anything; he’s just passing by. All I can do is sleep. The Special Forces felt their eyelids growing heavier. Yes, listening to that young man, it was time to rest. 0

Jones had her mouth agape as she watched Jerry walk step by step toward the four Special Forces members. At first, they aimed their guns at Jerry, but soon they lowered their weapons and then collapsed to the ground. In less than ten seconds, those Special Forces members had lost their combat effectiveness. However, at that very moment when the four fell incapacitated, Jerry also seemed to lose strength and slumped down as well. Clearly, exerting his mental energy against four Special Forces members had taken a toll on him—like killing a thousand enemies while injuring himself eight hundred. 0

“Whew!” David rushed to Jerry's side and helped him up. They had only dealt with four Special Forces members; other patrols could appear at any moment. Jones quickly followed suit and pulled Jerry into the shadows. Although it was dark and visibility was poor, Jerry’s pale complexion was still quite evident. 0

“Can you continue?” Jones asked anxiously; the longer they delayed, the greater the chance of unexpected complications. 0

Jerry weakly nodded and replied in a low voice, “Brother Wu gave me a method to quickly recover my mental energy. I just need to rest for a few minutes.” With that, Jerry sat cross-legged on the ground and closed his eyes, falling silent. 0

“Shadow, go check around and find a way to divert anyone who comes near!” Jones knew the gravity of the situation and dared not be careless. 0

Shadow remained silent as always; soon enough, the surrounding dry grass rustled without wind—indicating that Shadow had left. 0

“Sister Jones, what should we do next?” David asked hesitantly; being just a child, he couldn’t make up his mind. 0

Jones furrowed her brow; she knew there were definitely more people inside the house, but how to silently deal with them relied on Jerry's strength. Yet time ticked away; Jerry remained seated without moving while Shadow had not returned. 0

“I’ll take a look around; Brother Jerry should wake up soon!” Worried that Shadow might struggle alone, David disregarded Jones's objections and dashed out. 0

Just as Jones was growing anxious, Jerry finally opened his eyes. His complexion had indeed improved significantly in just a few minutes. 0

"Let's hurry, the boss and the others are probably waiting outside!" Jerry said, not daring to waste any time as he grabbed Jones' hand and ran toward the door. At that moment, the four members of the Special Forces were still deep in sleep. Perhaps due to nerves, Jones didn't even notice that Jerry was holding her hand; she simply followed him into the inner room. 0

It was already around one or two in the morning, and there weren't many people on duty in the building. As Jerry and Jones made their way, they encountered very few individuals, only the occasional flicker of motion-sensor lights. However, Jerry was confident that his skills were sufficient to handle any unexpected situations. 0

This building was dedicated to Equipment Monitoring, so aside from some equipment storage rooms, there weren't many occupied spaces. At this hour, only one room emitted a faint glow. Jerry and Jones slowly approached that room and gently pushed the door open. 0

With a soft creak, the door swung open. 0

Jerry and Jones quickly slipped inside. The room was small, filled with monitors and surveillance cameras. Apart from these machines, there were only three people present. A short, chubby bald man was sprawled on a table, sound asleep, drooling onto the floor. Another man, thin as a skeleton, was engrossed in watching an adult film on screen, completely oblivious to Jerry and Jones' arrival. The only one who noticed them was a man in glasses who stared at Jones and swallowed hard before asking, "Are you here to take over?" 0

"Yes, you can leave now!" Jerry replied with a smile as he walked over, his eyes fixed on the man in glasses. He patted his shoulder, and in an instant, the man rolled his eyes back and slumped into his chair, fast asleep. 0

However, the skeleton-like man remained absorbed in the plot of the adult film. Unable to bear it any longer, Jones walked over and tapped him on the head. The skeleton frame waved his hand dismissively and said, "You'll get your turn soon." But he quickly realized something was off when he found himself face-to-face with a beautiful woman with dark skin! 0

Rubbing his eyes and focusing again, he saw that the beauty had transformed into a companion. Soon after, an overwhelming wave of drowsiness hit him, and he collapsed onto the man in glasses' lap. 0

"Alright, it's your turn now!" Jerry suppressed the overwhelming fatigue washing over him and signaled to Jones to proceed. 0

Jones didn't dare be careless; she immediately began operating the monitoring equipment. In less than a minute, she had shut down all the devices. She also located where they controlled automated weapons and temporarily disabled their friend-or-foe identification systems. All potential threats were neutralized within those few minutes. 0

With their mission accomplished, the two of them wasted no time leaving the room. As they reached the doorway, they ran into David returning but looking frantic. 0

"Hurry up! They're coming soon; one shadow can't handle it!" David urged Jerry and Jones without further explanation as soon as he saw them. 0

David swiftly lifted both individuals into the air. 0

"Thud, thud!" With two consecutive sounds of landing, Jones and the others successfully regrouped with the main force. 0

"All set!" As soon as Jones touched down, he quickly shared the good news before Lin Yi could even ask. 0

Joy spread across everyone's faces; they no longer had to worry about being turned into a sieve. 0

"Alright, we need to move immediately. Woods' shadow is controlling a team, and we don't have much time!" Lin Yi decisively declared, initiating their actions. 0

The members of the Blood Envoy Mercenary Corps had already developed a seamless cooperation and no longer hesitated, following Lin Yi as they advanced rapidly. They were familiar with the general route ahead; now they just needed to reach their destination to leave smoothly. 0

The group was already on the outskirts of the airport. At this moment, they only needed to cross the fence to find themselves inside the airport, where they could see the plane scheduled to take off for Lion City tonight. As an important tool for communication with the outside world, the significance of planes became increasingly evident during this zombie outbreak. Now all aircraft were under national control, and the authority to allocate them was not something just anyone could possess. 0

With no other options, Lin Yi and his team had to take risks and gamble! Fortunately, airport patrols were not very dense, and since the automated defense monitoring system that the airport heavily relied on had been disabled by Jones, Lin Yi's group moved as if they were in an unguarded territory. 0

As they approached the transport plane bound for Lion City, they noticed several people nearby operating trailers to transport cargo to the plane's cabin. 0

"What time do they take off?" Lin Yi asked Pachy uncertainly; there were too many people around, making it impossible for them to leave quietly. 0

"In five minutes. Those responsible for loading should leave by then; we can seize this transport plane," Pachy said, clenching his fist tightly with determination. 0

Lin Yi remained calm; he needed to wait patiently for the right opportunity. 0

Three minutes later, those responsible for driving the trailer finally delivered the supplies into the Cabin, and then they quickly withdrew, clearing the runway for the plane to take off. 0

"Let's go!" Lin Yi waved his hand and swiftly approached the massive transport aircraft under the cover of night. The plane had received flight clearance, and even if Lin Yi and his group wanted to steal another aircraft, the defensive weapons would not let them take off easily. 0

The group moved briskly, and within seconds, they reached beneath the aircraft's Cabin. At that moment, the rear of the transport aircraft was slowly closing up, and without hesitation, Lin Yi and the others jumped in one after another. 0

Inside the Cabin was pitch black, seemingly empty. However, having just seen a large shipment being loaded in, Lin Yi and his companions knew that the entire Cabin was already filled with cargo. 0

"What do we do now? Do we need to take control of the cockpit?" Pachy asked eagerly; piloting a military transport plane was indeed a rare opportunity. 0

Lin Yi pondered for a moment before shaking his head to dismiss Pachy's idea. "Not yet. We haven't exited the country's defense perimeter. It's best not to make any unnecessary moves until the last moment. If their aircraft requires a code when leaving the country, that could be problematic. We can seize control of the plane once we get closer to Lion City. Of course, this is assuming they haven't discovered us." 0

Pachy nodded in agreement, realizing he had been a bit reckless. 0

Suddenly, there was a rumble as the plane began to move. Based on his instincts, Lin Yi determined that the aircraft was taxiing. 0

However, before anyone could express gratitude for their good fortune, the plane that had just started taxiing abruptly came to a halt. Following that, the rear of the Cabin slowly opened up, and blinding beams of light flooded in, illuminating the Cabin as bright as day. 0
