The ability to choose freely is perhaps the greatest happiness one can have. Lin Yi couldn't do that now, but he was preparing for it. When he saw Wu Di looking at him with a smile, seemingly flaunting his comfort, Lin Yi could only suppress a hint of displeasure in his heart.
"I wonder what we need to do?" Pachy, noticing Lin Yi's slight unhappiness, decided to stop beating around the bush and asked straightforwardly.
"General Khaki has high hopes for you, so this time you come here, we will give you a task that is quite easy to handle." Wu Di picked up a nearby celadon cup and slowly took a sip of hot tea.
"What kind of task?" Lin Yi asked. He wasn't a child anymore; there were no free benefits in this world.
Wu Di paused for a moment, seemingly trying to gauge his tone.
"Well, it's simple. We will provide you with the location to hunt Zombies, and the number of Zombies will definitely be manageable for you. Even if you encounter danger, we will come to your rescue in time." Wu Di seemed to have made a significant decision as he slowly uttered these words.
Hearing this, Lin Yi felt particularly displeased. Not long ago, someone had said something similar to them. In the end, that promise had turned out to be worthless and nearly led to their complete annihilation.
"But Mr. Lin, please don't get too excited. This operation won't be carried out by you alone. We will also send people to accompany you, so I think you don't need to worry about safety!" Wu Di had already gathered enough information before Lin Yi and the others arrived and had a good understanding of their thoughts.
"Is it really that simple?" Pachy asked cautiously, having been bitten by a snake once and now wary of ropes.

The first time we sent an entire combat battalion there in an attempt to rapidly retrieve the document, we didn't expect that after landing, they were surrounded by a large number of Giant Zombies and nearly suffered total annihilation." Wu Di lamented, fear flickering in his eyes.
"Then can you guarantee our safety?" Lin Yi's eyes widened as he nearly slammed his hand on the table.
"Mr. Lin, please don't get agitated. We have summarized some patterns: as long as our numbers are not too large, the other side won't send massive amounts of Zombies to besiege us." Wu Di feared that if Lin Yi lost his temper and acted like he was hunting Zombies against him, it would be too unwise.
"Wu Di Director, that's just your summarized pattern; it's not a law. There can always be unexpected situations," Li Qiweng began negotiating like a businessman.
There was no way around it; they were still relatively naive individuals who often charged into battle with fervor but ended up being used as cannon fodder while struggling on the brink of life and death. Now they had learned their lesson or perhaps reality had taught them that not everyone could be trusted.
"Let's speak frankly then: however many people you send, we will send an equal number along with you. If you complete the mission, we will pay you thirty doses of Serum; I believe this is very important to you—equivalent to a life!" Wu Di knew he couldn't keep going in circles any longer and had to reveal his final trump card.
"What if we suffer casualties?" Lin Yi asked next.
"Do everything you can to save those who can be saved, and for those who must be sacrificed, we will compensate with two thousand Contribution Points. Is that satisfactory for everyone?" Wu Di laid out the remaining conditions in one breath.
"Alright, we agree!" Lin Yi decisively made a decision for everyone for the first time. It wasn't a spur-of-the-moment decision. All signs indicated that if they did not contribute something to this country, they would not be easily let go.
Li Qiweng had nothing to add, merely nodding in agreement. Pachy also had no objections, though Lin Yi could sense that he had his own thoughts on the matter.
"Then, since that's settled, prepare yourselves and get ready to move!" Wu Di stood up and pulled a golden card from his jacket pocket, handing it to Lin Yi. "You can use this card to claim your rewards later."
Lin Yi paused for a moment before accepting the card, his voice slightly unnatural as he said, "It seems you are determined to see this through!"
"Mr. Lin," Wu Di replied seriously, "the information we are dealing with concerns national security; we have no choice in the matter."
"Alright then, we'll go back and prepare. May I ask if you could grant us a little more time?" Lin Yi initially wanted to resolve things quickly, but considering that his team had just been given a brief respite before being pulled back into battle, it felt too cruel.
Wu Di glanced at Lin Yi and smiled. "The situation is urgent, but I will do my best to negotiate for more time."
Lin Yi expressed his gratitude and left with Li Qiweng and Pachy.
The three of them remained silent on the way back. They might have had many things to say, but the current situation couldn't be resolved with just a few words, so they all chose to maintain a serious demeanor.
As the car slowly drove into the mansion, Lin Yi noticed several unfamiliar faces inside the house. Each one was dressed provocatively; despite the lingering chill of the season, these women displayed long, alluring legs and their ample chests seemed almost ready to burst forth with every movement.
Upon seeing Lin Yi and the others return, these heavily made-up women eagerly approached and opened the car doors. Before Lin Yi could react, a pair of delicate hands wrapped around his neck. A pair of breasts were right in front of him, making him feel as though he might lose control.
However, before the alluring woman could say anything, a slender yet strong hand swiftly knocked away Qianqian's delicate grip from around Lin Yi's neck.
"Hey! Why did you hit me?" The woman who had been scolded by Li Qiweng stomped her foot in anger.
Li Qiweng said nothing; she simply linked arms with the still-dazed Lin Yi and walked into the hall with an air of confidence, as if she were a queen on parade, completely ignoring the gazes of those around her. Lin Yi secretly wiped his brow in relief that he hadn't done anything inappropriate.
The woman who had initially clung to Lin Yi felt embarrassed and began shouting from behind them, completely losing her composure. Witerson II watched this scene unfold without knowing how to react; he had intended to explain things to Lin Yi but now felt compelled to calm down the furious woman instead.
"Can someone tell me what’s going on?" As soon as Li Qiweng entered the hall, she saw Tony, Akin, Jerry, and others each embracing a sensually dressed woman while casually touching them.
"It’s that old man Kachi again; he wants to reward us warriors. I really don’t understand why he sent these women over—doesn’t he know there are women in our team?" Jiao Jiao's temper was always volatile; at that moment she stood beside Bai, glaring at the flirtatious women with disdain.
"Pachy, you and Kachi are familiar enough now. Why don't you talk to him and let these ladies head back for now?" Lin Yi shrugged helplessly. As a man, he enjoyed such alluring scenes, but the current tense situation did not allow them to relax.
Pachy waved his hand, signaling the women that they could leave. Since they were sent by Kachi, they understood that they couldn't act recklessly. Thus, the enticing ladies slowly departed under the reluctant gazes of Tony and the others.
"I understand how you all feel, so I won't blame anyone for this. However, there are more important matters awaiting us, so I hope everyone can rest well in the coming days. We will be heading out to hunt Zombies soon, and I don't want anyone unable to get out of bed when that time comes."
Tony and the others nodded at Lin Yi without saying much. Lin Yi knew what they were thinking; he simply called over Witerson II to give some instructions before taking Li Qiweng back to their room.
"Queen, next time give me a break. Even if you won't do it for me, at least give my Brothers a way out. You just left everyone in the room confused!" Lin Yi whispered as he closed the door.
"I'm afraid if I don't show some authority, your soul might get snatched away!" Li Qiweng placed her hands on her hips, her eyes wide open as she pretended to be fierce.
"How could that be? With you around, who else would catch my eye?" Lin Yi wrapped his arms around Li Qiweng's waist and headed toward the sofa.

In the following three days, Lin Yi insisted on going to the Virtual Training Camp for training to improve his combat skills. After finishing his training on the third day, a guard at the camp directly informed him that everyone should gather there early the next morning to prepare for hunting Zombies.
Upon returning, Lin Yi briefly explained the situation and made a rough arrangement for everyone's tasks. He decided that aside from Li Qiweng, no other women would participate in this mission. The others had no objections, but Hai insisted on joining. Unable to convince her otherwise, Lin Yi told her to think it over for a night before making a decision.
