Hearing the gunfire erupting nearby, seemingly triggered by his disappearance, Yang Xiaoyou whistled lightly, estimating that both sides would think the other had hidden him away. 0

What was happening over there was no longer of any concern to him. 0

Even though gunshots could be heard from just down the street, this area seemed almost completely unaffected, indicating that the residents here had likely grown accustomed to such occurrences. 0

This made it easier for Yang Xiaoyou to blend in seamlessly. 0

Hue, although a decent port, was not thriving due to its proximity to the Chinese Empire. The businesses here were struggling, leaving behind only those low-tier pirates who targeted fishermen. 0

Yang Xiaoyou planned to establish his base in the strategically significant Golden Bay, a gathering place for powerful factions. While the operational model was somewhat similar to this area, the strength of each faction here was far superior. 0

Even the general of Vietnam, who nominally controlled Golden Bay and ranked among the top three in power, was wary of many factions there. He turned a blind eye to certain activities as long as they paid him regularly; he didn’t care what happened as long as he got his cut. 0

Currently, the main team members of Hive Security Company and Mo Wenfu were nearby. While gathering intelligence, Yang Xiaoyou needed to move closer to meet up with them. 0

He casually acquired a few local garments and used his practiced disguise skills to darken his skin a bit. At a glance, he appeared almost indistinguishable from the locals. 0

Simultaneously, he continuously mimicked the local accent, quickly putting into practice the information stored in his mind. 0

With his Spirit Realm steadily improving and that moment of enlightenment on the ferry still fresh in his mind, he found that his ability to translate memory into action was accelerating, especially for skills like language that didn’t heavily rely on physical attributes. 0

As long as he avoided prolonged conversations, he felt confident that he wouldn’t slip up. 0

Yang Xiaoyou had a slight understanding of some well-known underground forces in Vietnam. However, when he first arrived, it was primarily to hide; he hadn’t become deeply entangled with the locals. Many details remained unclear to him, especially since he had come years after the events stored in his memory. Given the chaotic nature of this place, changes were likely significant. 0

The sound of bells chimed as Yang Xiaoyou stepped into a bar that had a hint of Western flair. 0

This place was filled with various crowds and brimming with rich yet chaotic information. Ordinary people might feel overwhelmed by the disarray here, but Yang Xiaoyou's analytical abilities far surpassed those of most; this venue was ideal for sourcing information. 0

"I heard from the Nguyen Family brothers that they caught a fat sheep. It seems like the one-eyed gang sent someone over to snatch it; they started shooting right in the street." 0

Upon entering the bar and ordering a glass of cheap liquor, Yang Xiaoyou noticed that the gunfight had only just begun not long ago, yet news of it had already spread throughout the area. 0

However, with Yang Xiaoyou's keen hearing, most of the conversations he picked up in the bar were related to Hue itself, and there was little information with a national perspective. Occasionally, a sentence or two would surface, but they were mostly trivial matters. 0

Of course, under reasonable circumstances, sometimes even trivial matters could be useful. Intelligence primarily relies on accumulation, and Yang Xiaoyou was not particularly discouraged. He quietly remained in a corner, holding onto his untouched drink. 0

Regardless of whether he would obtain any useful information, he planned to spend the afternoon here, hiding from the spotlight while waiting for the evening to find an opportunity to catch a ride out of the city towards Cam Ranh. 0

After spending an entire afternoon, although he did not acquire any critical news, Yang Xiaoyou managed to gain a more intuitive understanding of the current situation in Vietnam through the daily exchanges he overheard, thanks to his exceptional hearing and analytical abilities. 0

Just as he was observing that it was getting late and it might be time to call it a day, something that happened between two customers who had just entered the bar caught his attention. "Those Russians are really too domineering. Do they think this is their territory? They are clearly outsiders but act so arrogantly," one patron complained loudly to his companion. He would never have imagined that someone could catch his voice from afar in such a noisy environment. 0

"Keep your voice down; it could get us into trouble. The people from Moscow Hotel are a bunch of lunatics with real power. General Hu finds them quite troublesome. Unless several other factions join forces to drive them out, they should be able to establish themselves here completely," the other person sighed in response. 0

Hearing their ongoing conversation, Yang Xiaoyou's eyes flickered with interest. After taking a sip of his low-quality drink, he realized who the Russians they mentioned were. 0

Recalling how he had fled here, he remembered that Moscow Hotel had already become one of the strongest factions in the area. It seemed they were just beginning to establish their roots now; perhaps he could leverage their strength to achieve his own goals as well. 0

Many of his arms channels had been established through connections in the Soviet Union, which was gradually collapsing like Britain. The leader of Moscow Hotel was a descendant of a military bigwig from the Soviet Union. 0

Although it seemed he had fled here due to political persecution, many among his entourage were veterans who had participated in the Afghan War, making their strength formidable. 0

Moreover, their existing network still held value. Given the current state of the Soviet Union, there might be possibilities for cooperation with them, making this a mutually beneficial deal. 0

With clarity in his thoughts, Yang Xiaoyou formulated a rough plan. If he could hitch a ride with this group, not only would he achieve his goal of establishing himself here, but he might also secure new supply channels. 0

In this line of work, one cannot afford to miss any opportunity. Now that he understood the situation better, he certainly did not intend to let this chance slip away. 0

After realizing that no deeper information would emerge from further conversations behind him, Yang Xiaoyou decisively set down his glass and stood up to leave. 0

Not long after Yang Xiaoyou stepped out, a peculiar group consisting of three men and one woman entered the bar. Among them was a wild woman with healthy tan skin and an alluring figure but sporting a tattoo on her arm. She was carelessly running her fingers through her hair while holding a cigarette and said to a blonde white man beside her, "Benny, are you sure this fellow is the one? He looks just like an employee." 0

As she spoke, she pointed at an Asian man beside her. If Yang Xiaoyou had been there, he would have recognized this Asian man as Lin Min, the police officer with whom he had quite an unusual connection. 0

"We're just doing our job as requested; the goods are in his hands—it's definitely him," replied Benny with a cheerful smile. 0

As soon as he finished, he noticed that the alarm at his waist had gone off. Hearing the sound, his expression changed, and he cursed, "Someone's stealing our car!" 0

He dashed outside. 0

However, the woman and another silent muscular bald black man were faster than him, instantly sprinting ahead. 0

Unfortunately, even though their reaction speed was quite fast, by the time they arrived, a classic car with an antique design had already sped away, showing no signs of slowing down. 0

Seeing someone brazenly stealing their car, the somewhat aggressive woman drew her gun and started shooting at the fleeing vehicle, causing chaos among the nearby crowd. 0

"Damn it, it's just an old car. Is it really necessary?" Yang Xiaoyou muttered, feeling a chill run down his spine as he ducked away from a bullet that shattered a window. 0

He had only intended to find a random car; he never expected the alarm system to be so sensitive or to attract such violent fellows. 0

However, he had to admit that despite its shabby appearance, the car's performance was surprisingly impressive. 0

With that thought in mind, Yang Xiaoyou pressed down harder on the accelerator and sped off into the distance. 0

The Divine Horse didn't even know what was happening. (To be continued!) 0
