"So it's you little ants who have ruined my plans. Watch me poison you to death," the Mutated Giant Serpent sneered down at Su Ruolan and her companions, its voice dripping with malice. 0

With a swift motion, the serpent opened its mouth and unleashed a jet of venom. Where the toxic liquid splashed, trees began to corrode, their bark wrinkling rapidly as a sizzling sound filled the air. The venom shot toward Su Ruolan at an alarming speed. 0

Fortunately, the recent battles had honed Su Ruolan's instincts for danger. Her understanding of water elements deepened, allowing her to wield them with increasing agility. Even though the venom surged forward aggressively, she sensed its trajectory in an instant. She quickly conjured an ice shield to protect herself and simultaneously launched several Ice Spikes aimed at the serpent's vulnerable underbelly. The venom splattered against the ice shield, corroding a hole through its thick surface, nearly incapacitating Su Ruolan's right hand that held the shield. 0

The giant serpent twisted its body and flicked its tail to evade the critical strike. The Ice Spikes struck its midsection with a crunch, snapping off at their tips. 0

At that moment, Monet's wind blades spiraled toward the Mutated Giant Serpent. Upon contact with the serpent's body, they produced a faint pop before dissipating into nothingness. 0

This Mutated Giant Serpent had surprisingly developed an impenetrable armor; its scales were as hard as metal, rendering it immune to blades and arrows. 0

"Are you just tickling me? Damn humans, this is somewhat interesting," the giant serpent remarked, sensing that the lone human and her wolf companion were not as weak as it had anticipated. Its interest piqued, it became more serious and intensified its attacks. 0

With a powerful swing of its tail, it uprooted tall trees and hurled them toward Su Ruolan while swiftly coiling around her. 0

"Ice Bind," Su Ruolan called upon the water element, attempting to freeze the blood coursing through the giant serpent's body in hopes of putting it into a state of hibernation. 0

The Mutated Giant Serpent hesitated for a moment, its movements slowing briefly before quickly regaining speed. Although it lunged at Su Ruolan with momentum from its charge, there was now a glint of suspicion in its eyes. This human was peculiar. 0

What a pity; fighting above one's level was not so easy after all, Su Ruolan thought regretfully. 0

"Monet, merge," she quickly summoned Monet, her thoughts guiding him as he transformed into a pair of Wolfhead Battle Boots that she slipped onto her feet. A gust of wind propelled her to the right, narrowly avoiding the serpent's attack. 0

After several failed attempts to land a hit on Su Ruolan, the giant serpent grew increasingly agitated, feeling its dignity severely challenged. 0

The serpent coiled and twisted, its head slightly raised as it opened its massive mouth, releasing a cloud of mist-like venom that spread wide, covering an area with a diameter of five meters, enveloping Su Ruolan like a giant shroud. 0

Seeing the strange movements of the giant snake, Su Ruolan sensed danger and quickly conjured a rectangular ice shield to protect herself. 0

The venom splashed onto the ice shield, instantly corroding it into a sieve. Two spots on Su Ruolan's hands and legs were also contaminated by the penetrating venom, causing her skin to rot and blackened blood to ooze out. 0

Without hesitation, Su Ruolan formed an ice dagger and severed the infected areas. Just as she finished, dizziness struck her; she realized she had still been poisoned. 0

This time, the toxic mist spread through the air, evaporating without needing to touch the skin, capable of inducing poisoning with its neurotoxic effects. This mutated serpent possessed a mixed venom, combining neurotoxins and hemolytic toxins. 0

Su Ruolan felt her body beginning to stiffen. The ice shield had lost its protective function and collapsed with a loud crash, shattering into countless pieces. 0

With the ice shield destroyed, the giant snake revealed itself, locking eyes with Su Ruolan. The serpent appeared somewhat weakened, its crimson eyes reflecting a hint of restraint and pain. Suddenly, its belly swelled violently; the giant snake raised its head in a mournful cry before its head crashed down to the ground, thrashing violently. 0

Su Ruolan was taken aback. According to its third-tier advanced level, the giant snake's power should have been far beyond this; it could easily have killed the injured Su Ruolan. Just moments ago, she had felt despair, but now a new opportunity had arisen. 0

With her Wolfhead Battle Boots, Su Ruolan continuously dodged the increasingly frenzied giant snake. 0

The serpent's eyes were blood-red, completely frenzied and devoid of reason. It repeatedly slammed its body against trees and surrounding rocks, creating sparks as its tough scales scraped against the hard surfaces. Sensing Su Ruolan's body heat, it opened its mouth wide and unleashed venomous sprays without restraint. This reckless assault was akin to suicide and would undoubtedly lead to severe injury. 0

Unaware of what had happened to the giant snake, Su Ruolan adhered to the principle of "strike while it's weak," defending herself while launching fierce counterattacks. She knew she was poisoned; now it was a race against time—whoever fell first would lose. 0

She was splattered with countless droplets of venom, leaving behind horrific scars. In a moment of carelessness, she failed to evade a powerful strike from the snake's tail and coughed up a mouthful of blood as she was sent flying several meters before crashing heavily to the ground. 0

At that moment, the giant snake rolled into an L-shaped corner formed by rocks; its body bore no wounds, but its once-bulging belly had deflated slightly. A glimmer of clarity returned to its eyes as it coiled up again. 0

Having been pushed to her limits, Su Ruolan wiped away the blood from her lips with her right hand. She realized her strength was waning; her body was growing increasingly rigid, and Monet was also struggling to maintain their combined form. 0

“Monet, hold on a little longer, we will definitely win,” Su Ruolan said again, standing up and looking at the giant snake with unwavering determination. 0

Taking a deep breath, Su Ruolan disregarded the stiffness in her body and the tearing pain from her accelerated movements. She charged forward with all her might, moving as swiftly as light to confront the giant snake. 0

Startled by the sudden appearance of a figure, the giant snake opened its mouth, preparing to swallow her whole. 0

Su Ruolan raised her hand and threw five bags of flour into the air. The bags flew quickly toward the snake's mouth. As they soared through the air, the rapid friction with the atmosphere tore open their packaging, spilling most of the flour directly into the snake's mouth while some scattered over its body. At the same time, an ice shield that barely covered the giant snake's body formed, creating a sealed space in conjunction with the rocky terrain. Just as the ice shield landed, sparks ignited from the friction between the snake's body and the rocks. 0

With a loud bang, dust exploded everywhere, causing immense destruction—mountains crumbled, trees splintered, and flesh was scattered. 0

Even though Su Ruolan quickly retreated at that moment, she was still knocked down by the force of the explosion. Her clothes were torn apart, leaving her in tatters and covered in mud, with countless wounds bleeding profusely. Monet had separated from Su Ruolan, reverting to his wolf form and lying helplessly on the ground, only his eyes able to move. 0

As the smoke cleared, only a fragment of the giant snake's corpse remained in the rocky corner—its head and body blown away, with a piece of green crystal glowing softly amidst the shattered remains. 0

Struggling to stand up, Su Ruolan approached and cleaned off the green crystal before picking it up. 0

“What a rich life force! There’s a Spirit of the Wood inside. Ruo Lan, you’ve made a great gain this time,” Reset's voice sounded excitedly. 0

“Spirit of the Wood? Your realm has stabilized; are you alright?” Su Ruolan asked with concern instead of joy at finding treasure. “I was worried when you didn’t make any moves earlier.” 0

Since Reset had advanced to a higher level, time within their space had begun to differentiate from that of the outside world. Initially, one unit of time inside equated to one unit outside; gradually it shifted to ten inside for every three outside and continued to evolve. 0

“I’m fine; I’ve stabilized the flow of time. Now one month inside corresponds to five months outside. I sensed your battle with the giant snake and kept an eye on it. I completed my advancement early to stabilize things. At that final moment, I wanted to intervene but held back. Ruo Lan, you are too weak right now; you need to experience growth. We have a long road ahead,” Reset said meaningfully. 0

“I understand. I know you’re always there for me. If I were in danger, you would surely summon me back to safety. I appreciate your efforts; that’s why I fear nothing,” Su Ruolan replied sincerely, fully aware that Reset must have concealed some risks regarding early stabilization. 0

“Bosses, please stop! I can’t take it anymore!” Monet whined pitifully from the side. 0

"Don't worry, you won't die," Reset said impatiently, pulling out a few pure white crystals from the space and tossing them to Monet. "Take these." 0

Although Monet was severely injured, her life was not in danger. After absorbing the crystals, her body recovered about fifty percent. The remaining injuries could only be healed slowly without any miraculous elixirs or high-level Core. 0

"Hurry and soak in the pond in the space to suppress the spread of the toxins. We'll look around here for a bit; given this environment, there should be some detoxifying herbs," Reset advised. 0

"Okay," Su Ruolan replied as she entered the space. 0

Out of consideration, Reset took the initiative to block any connection between herself and Su Ruolan. 0

Noticing that Reset's consciousness had returned to calmness, Su Ruolan smiled gratefully, undressed, and submerged herself in the water. A gentle life force silently flowed in, nurturing her body. The injuries within her began to heal rapidly, even faster and better than with a Pure White Crystal Core. Scars faded one by one, and the damaged wounds gradually closed up. The hemolytic toxins and neurotoxins were continuously pressed into the active space within her meridians, gradually being guided to one area and concentrated in her left arm. 0

"How do you feel?" Reset asked with concern when Su Ruolan emerged from the water, changed back into her clothes. 0

"I'm fine; I just can't move my left arm for now," Su Ruolan replied nonchalantly. 0

Leaving the space, Su Ruolan and Monet followed the traces left by the giant snake in search of detoxifying herbs. After some time, they arrived at the initial traces left by the giant snake. All clues came to an abrupt halt here, as if the giant snake had appeared out of thin air. They found nothing—no detoxifying herbs. At that moment, Su Ruolan's left arm had almost completely lost sensation. There were faint signs that the toxins were spreading to other areas. 0

Should she sever her arm to survive? 0
