If I can’t find it, then I’ll die alongside Yan Xi, so she won’t be alone on her journey to the Underworld.

The emperor still did not order his men to retreat. Seeing this, I had no choice but to pull back my hand and cut the tender flesh on her neck as a threat.

I raised my eyes warily at Jin Ping and replied nonchalantly, "What did you give her?"
Jin Ping smiled smugly, "The Turtle Breathing Pill. If she doesn't receive the awakening medicine within twelve hours, she might die because of it!"
"You!" I wanted to curse at Jin Ping but realized I couldn't provoke her. If she got angry and refused to give me the awakening medicine, it would be too unjust for you to die again in this life.
So I suppressed my rising anger and asked, "If I go back with you, will you let Yan Xi go?"
Jin Ping puffed out her chest and laughed disdainfully, "Of course! I, Jin Ping, am a princess after all; my word is my bond."
I looked at you, whose breathing was becoming shallower in my arms, and steeled myself. "I agree, but you have to give me the awakening medicine first. I must see her wake up before I go with you."
