"Damn it, Letcher," I muttered as I struggled against him.
To my surprise, Letcher pouted and lunged forward to kiss me. I turned my head to avoid him, but he was much stronger than I was, and I couldn't move at all.
Shangguan Mingyue rushed in with the Bronze Sword, forcing the Evil Spirit to release me in order to dodge the blade.
I rolled off the bed and quickly got back on my feet, charging at the Evil Spirit.
How dare he try to kiss me? I'll make sure to teach this scoundrel a lesson.
The Evil Spirit raised an eyebrow and shot me a flirtatious glance with his peach blossom eyes, smugly saying, "Heh heh, two at once? I like that."
Shangguan Mingyue and I approached the Evil Spirit from either side.
We needed to balance the yin and yang; if we let this Evil Spirit continue his antics, he would surely harm many women. We had to take him down today.
Shangguan Mingyue was responsible for controlling the Evil Spirit with the Bronze Sword while I prepared to execute the Ghost Suppression Technique against him.
As soon as my fingers struck the Evil Spirit's head, a flash of red light erupted, sending me flying backward.
Next was Shangguan Mingyue, who was also thrown far away by a powerful strike from the Evil Spirit.

The Evil Spirit coldly laughed as he approached Shangguan Mingyue, who was immobilized and unable to move.

"Let's go."
We dashed downstairs, but as we reached the bottom of the stairs, we were bounced back.
"Heh heh, you can't escape,"
Another Evil Spirit appeared out of nowhere in front of us. With two of them now, both Shangguan Mingyue and I were injured and had no way to resist.
The two Male Ghosts kept closing in on us. We stood back to back, with Shiro in my hand, keeping a vigilant eye on our opponents.
"Who sent you?"
The two Evil Spirits seemed to find my question particularly amusing and laughed loudly.
"Come on, woman. Your lives are worth something; it's not every day that the Cult of Spirits can summon us brothers. Now, if you stop resisting, we'll make your deaths a bit more pleasant."
"Hmph, Evil Spirit, let's see who falls first."
After shouting that, Shangguan Mingyue lunged at the Letcher she had faced earlier, while I took on the newly emerged Male Ghost downstairs.
Both Evil Spirits were incredibly strong. It was already challenging for us to handle one together; now facing one each, it didn't take long before we were overwhelmed.
I was still struggling to hold my ground when I saw that Shangguan Mingyue had been pinned down by the Letcher.
She fought desperately but to no avail. I wanted to rush over to save her, but this Evil Spirit was proving to be quite a handful.
“Ugh…”
A sound like tearing fabric pierced the air. When I turned to look, Shangguan Mingyue's top had already been ripped off by the Letcher.
Her ribs were injured, and if this continued, she would die.
No, I had to find a way to save her.
I fought desperately against the Evil Spirit beside me; his strength was overwhelming.
In my panic to escape him, I lost my footing and he seized the opportunity.
With one swift motion, he knocked me to the ground. I retaliated but was struck down again.

A heart-wrenching scream echoed from that direction. Shangguan Mingyue's clothes had been completely torn away by the Letcher.
She fought back like a madwoman, but she was still no match for the Male Ghost.
I too was pinned down by the Evil Spirit, who sat on my back and began tearing at my clothes.
The cold air hit me, making me shiver.
Glancing at the silver bracelet on my wrist, something clicked in my mind. I began to chant a spell while shaking the bracelet.
Once, twice, three times…
After a few seconds, a wave of cold rushed in.
The Evil Spirit on me was trying to pull down my pants. I struggled, attempting to resist him.
As his hand grabbed my pants, out of nowhere, another hand suddenly appeared and seized the one that was pulling them down.
I turned to see who it was, and to my surprise, it was Chuchen, dressed in his signature red attire. His cold eyes gleamed with an unusual light, sharp as a blade, scanning the Evil Spirit on me before he effortlessly lifted it away.
Having been rescued, I rushed over to assist Shangguan Mingyue.
Chuchen took on another Evil Spirit while I teamed up with Shangguan Mingyue to confront the Letcher before us.
Both of us were furious; we couldn't let this grudge go unpunished.
In an instant, the situation turned in our favor.
The Letcher was struggling against the full force of both me and Shangguan Mingyue. She kept it occupied while I seized the opportunity to strike with Shiro, slicing off its arm in one swift motion.
With one arm gone, the Evil Spirit's confidence diminished significantly. Meanwhile, Shangguan Mingyue and I grew more determined, working together seamlessly.
After breaking the Evil Spirit's soul, I noticed something different about Shiro in my hand.
My master had mentioned that Shiro was incredibly powerful; it had sealed its strength to protect me.
However, as long as I continued to use it, I would gradually become its master, and Shiro's spiritual power would slowly awaken.
While Shangguan Mingyue provided cover against the Evil Spirit, I waited for the right moment to plunge Shiro into the Letcher's heart.
The strike landed perfectly.
A burst of red light erupted as the Letcher began to disintegrate under Shiro's power.
Once that foe was dealt with, I prepared to head over to help Chuchen with the other Evil Spirit.
It seemed that wouldn't be necessary, as he was already walking toward me.
He slowly walked over and then knelt before me on one knee. "Master, the mission has been completed. May I leave now?"
Feeling puzzled, I asked him, "Chuchen, don't you recognize me?"
He remained still, quietly kneeling in place, waiting for me.
Shangguan Mingyue raised my hand, and upon seeing the silver bracelet on my wrist, her eyes widened in surprise.
"Yan Xi, where did you get this bracelet?"
"A friend gave it to me."
"How come I didn't know you had such an impressive friend? They even gifted you a Summoning Bracelet. It wouldn't be Mu Xuanche, would it?"
"Mingyue, do you recognize this bracelet?"
She nodded.
"Then do you know what's going on with Chuchen?"
"He was summoned by you, but he currently has no consciousness of his own. He has completed his mission; you can let him go."
Following Shangguan Mingyue's explanation, I gave Chuchen a command, and he left.
I looked down at the silver bracelet on my wrist, surprised by its power.
After using it once, it had turned black for a while. I had intended to ask Mingyue about the origins of this bracelet again, but she told me she knew it was powerful and called it a Summoning Bracelet; however, she wasn't clear about its specifics.
Having turned black after one use, did that mean there was a limit to how many times it could be used?
I couldn't quite understand this Summoning Bracelet. Next time, I'll wait until I meet the Master to have him take a look at it.

When Sister Zhang got up, she was very happy.
"Great Masters, I don't know if it's because you were here last night, but I slept particularly well and didn't feel as tired as before."

"Two Great Masters, I heard from a friend that Master Cao has recently been performing rituals at a wealthy merchant's home. I thought this news might be useful to you."
A surge of joy filled my heart; I had been worried about where to find information, and now it had come to me.
Upon learning Master Cao's current location, Shangguan Mingyue and I hurried over without delay.
I was eager to see what kind of person Master Cao truly was, especially since he had caused me trouble time and again.
And as for the grudge against Bao, it must be avenged.
