An Hui indeed did not have an abortion. During her prenatal check-up, it was discovered that she was carrying twins. Old Chen mentioned that she had a scarred uterus, and due to poor recovery of the uterus, if she continued the pregnancy, it might not withstand the delivery and could even rupture.

"But my uterus isn't recovering well. If I continue with the pregnancy, I might not be able to have children in the future."
"I'm scared; I want to have an abortion."
"But my mother-in-law and Zhao Ming don't agree."
" Fu Yue, can you talk to them for me?"
I chuckled lightly. " An Hui, why should I persuade them?"
"When I advised you to have an abortion back then, did you listen?"
" An Hui, I've told you before that I won't involve myself in your matters anymore."
"If you want an abortion, then you should convince your mother-in-law yourself."
With that, I hung up the phone.
I recalled the last life when An Hui pushed me down the stairs. She must have been afraid of taking responsibility. After all, it was I who had urged her to get an abortion. If Zhao Ming's family blamed her for it...
She could shift all the responsibility onto me. It was I who urged her to have an abortion. It was I who suggested a cesarean section. Everything was my fault. A week later, the hospital presented me with a banner of honor. On the day of the ceremony, I saw An Hui again. She had lost a lot of weight; she looked frail, as if she could be blown away by a gust of wind. Yet her belly was unusually large, frighteningly so.
