New Era of Humanity in the Apocalypse 0

No matter how strong the Defense Power of the Tyrannosaurus is, it cannot compete with these heavily modified weapons. In that era, brute force was the solution to survival, but in the current age, relying solely on strength for sustenance is no longer feasible; even if it were, it would be considered a lowly labor job. 0

With just one weapon and the right application, one could easily achieve feats unimaginable in the primitive era, such as hunting. At the very least, survival would not be an issue. If they continued to track the Tyrannosaurus, once it became too exhausted, hunting at night might yield even better results due to the advantages of time and place. 0

This eagerness to achieve results without understanding the underlying reasons is puzzling. After all, beasts are still beasts; if they understood the hunting strategies of animals, their IQ might not improve either. Reluctantly, they moved a bit closer and noticed that the Tyrannosaurus still had some breath left. 0

However, its breath was faint. Even so, they dared not approach carelessly; it could be a ruse. Many times, these animals deceive weaker prey into coming closer before launching their attacks. 0

If the Tyrannosaurus were employing such tactics, there would be no way around it; they could not afford to let it gain any advantage. After edging a little closer, they halted their advance and fired an empty Magazine before continuing forward. What awaited them might not be as simple as just facing a single Tyrannosaurus. 0

Though this situation seemed troublesome, it was not particularly difficult once familiar with the patterns. After all, this area had been artificially constructed. Despite appearing as an endless expanse of sand, there was no wind or sunlight; instead, there was a striking light. Upon closer inspection, they realized that the clouds in the air were motionless, suggesting that what they saw above might have been painted illusions, creating a deceptive atmosphere. 0

After walking for quite some time, they gradually realized they were trapped within a realm of artificial murals. This illusion misled them into thinking there was still a path forward when in fact they were moving further away from any real exit. 0

They quickly became aware of this fact when they looked up and noticed something amiss. Fortunately, their minds remained clear enough not to be muddled by their haste. Although they had been on the move without much rest, their awareness was still intact—an influence stemming from years of habit. 0

“If that’s the case, we need to think in reverse,” Ross suddenly declared something others did not understand. However, Freyr seemed to have an idea as well; he appeared to have had a moment of realization that aligned with Ross's thoughts. 0

It turned out Ross's deduction was correct. Before long, those companions who had yet to grasp the truth also recognized that they were in a predicament with no way forward or backward. Even if they attempted to move, they could not withstand the multitude of beasts around them; it was impossible to keep walking indefinitely. Humans need rest; relentless movement would soon wear them down until they collapsed—an early end to their journey and a serious threat to their survival. 0

Now returning along their original path seemed unrealistic; only by pressing onward could they hope to discover a point of disruption in this balance. When setting up mechanisms, there would surely be points designed for breaching and for security alerts—these security measures would serve as warnings for intruders that there would be no return while also providing escape routes for members of the Miyamoto Clan who might inadvertently wander into danger. 0

Basically, every organization sets up these two fundamental things, but it doesn't mean that the civilization at that time would have placed importance on them. If their civilization had already declined, leaving behind a desperate situation to prevent those on the ground from uncovering clues about that civilization, it would indeed be quite troublesome. After all, this situation does not offer any advantages to others. 0

Now, it is no longer a matter of whether to move or not; it depends on whether the path ahead poses any danger, which will determine future plans. 0

The others seemed to still be haunted by their fears. Not long after they started walking, they heard a thunderous rumble, and Xiong Tai suddenly exclaimed, "What’s going on? Is another Tyrannosaurus hungry? It seems like it’s set on us! Wherever we go, danger follows. Looks like we’re in a death squad now, a team that brings disaster." He muttered this with a hint of sarcasm, but unfortunately, no one gave him a good look. Usually, in such situations, there would be some unusual comments popping up, but this time everyone was unusually united in their disdain for Xiong Tai's earlier words. 0

It seemed that his ominous prediction was coming true as the rumbling grew closer. Then a shadow approached at an incredible speed. That shadow could not be a Tyrannosaurus; it wouldn’t move that fast. There was a strange sensation as if the vision had flickered for a moment—this feeling was truly unfamiliar. 0

Xiong Tai scratched his head. "Hey, Commander, what do you think that is?" 0

Everyone turned to look at the shadow and instinctively pursed their lips in confusion. They patted his back and said, "Calm down; we really haven’t seen a creature move this quickly before. It doesn’t seem like the previous Tyrannosaurus. But even if it were a Tyrannosaurus, I don’t think we need to be afraid of it. Alright, let’s start the hunting plan!" Ross's voice suddenly rang out, seemingly trying to take over the Commander’s position. 0

However, Freyr didn’t believe he was necessarily suited for the Commander role. He was a very clear-minded person; if someone else truly qualified to be Commander emerged, he wouldn’t mind letting them take the position. 0

On the other hand, everyone here suddenly seemed to receive a warning and became alert at once, raising various weapons. 0

"Kill it!" Xiong Tai shouted dramatically, as if he had a personal vendetta against whatever lay ahead. 0

Ross looked back at his companions and said, "Alright, follow my lead. I’ll initiate the attack; everyone else provide me with sufficient fire cover. This thing may be agile in its movements; help me simplify its behavior patterns and try to converge towards my position so I can ensure a one-hit kill." 0

Everyone's expressions subtly changed; they clearly understood this tactic. It was indeed somewhat risky given everything they had experienced together so far; they had established some level of cooperation and understanding. In fact, this was just the beginning. 0
