Freyr remained silent as he drew the Black Military Dagger and looked up at the White Giant Bug before him.
A light breeze swept across the battlefield, adding a sense of tension to the air. However, the Radiation Victims controlled the White Giant Bug, which began to twist and crawl with its massive body.
With just a slight movement, deep drag marks appeared on the ground, chilling anyone who witnessed it.
But for Freyr, who possessed the Time Bond, it was meaningless if he couldn't land a hit.
"Time Bond Amplification Fusion!" With this roar, Freyr quickly became a blur.
As the domain of Time Bond expanded, his speed was enhanced more than twice over. The Military Dagger struck like black lightning, piercing into the soft flesh repeatedly.
Yet the damage dealt was pitiful; the White Giant Bug crushed down hard, seemingly unafraid of any close-range attacks from weapons.
Its soft body deftly evaded the sharp weapon's direct strikes. This bizarre sensation continued for several exchanges, yielding no satisfactory results.
Freyr quickly retreated to dodge, while the Radiation Victims' attacks were precise and unerring. However, relative to Freyr's speed, the Radiation Victims moved somewhat slowly.
Everything happened too suddenly.
The force of their attacks seemed sufficient, but their speed fell short.
It appeared they would make some adjustments.
Freyr managed to slice into the White Giant Bug's soft underbelly. A strip of flesh was torn open by the Military Dagger, creating a large penetrating wound that violently ripped apart.
In that moment of rapid transition between offense and defense, everything accelerated dramatically.
The internal organs of the White Giant Bug spilled out, but for it to truly perish, this strike alone was not enough to be fatal.
The strongest aspect was not just its massive size or astonishing destructive power, but rather a particular ability that instilled fear.
The wounds of the Centipede were visibly closing at an alarming rate, as if countless fine threads were gradually weaving around the injury.
Before long, the White Giant Bug had returned to its original state, with only the bloodstains on the ground remaining; otherwise, one might truly believe that everything that had just transpired was merely an illusion.
"Hahaha, this is my other ability: infinite division!" The voice of the Radiation Victims roared from above.
A chilling aura emanated from it, making the White Giant Bug appear incredibly menacing, yet it also evoked a sense of dread.
Freyr had sensed something unusual from the first tentative strike.
There was indeed a clue to be found here.
Infinite division was merely a form of cellular division, accelerating the process to enhance metabolism and speed up the healing of wounds.
However, even during human adolescence, when healing abilities were relatively strong, a knife wound would take at least two weeks to heal completely—this being the fastest timeframe.
Yet, the White Giant Bug was performing self-healing at an astonishing speed.
In just a few seconds, such rapid healing capabilities were truly remarkable.
However, this was not the time for admiration.
Freyr understood all too well the terrifying nature of this ability; in comparison, what he needed to do now was to probe once more.
He drew his military dagger and lunged forward again.
The injuries this time were even more profound than before, with two massive gashes crisscrossing each other, looking terrifying and grotesque, revealing the internal organs clearly within.
"Hahaha, useless," the Radiation Victim roared with a heart-wrenching cry. "Attack, attack! When you tire out, that's when I will strike back."
Even though the Military Dagger had left deep wounds all over its body, the White Giant Bug's powerful and effective self-healing ability was intensifying despite the overwhelming pain.
It was all quite unbelievable as the Military Dagger tore into the intact skin.
But soon enough, one side of the wound began to heal on its own, leaving behind a faint scar.
"Ha~"
After a while, Freyr retreated to his original position and took a deep breath.
"It does seem that way; no matter what I do or how I do it, my speed can't surpass the Self-Healing Ability. This is getting interesting," he chuckled to himself.
The Radiation Victim looked down at the ants with a disdainful gaze. When an incredible smile appeared on the ant's face, he was taken aback, feeling even more frustrated as he muttered under his breath, "What are you laughing at? This guy really knows how to mess around; it hurts like hell, and he's fast enough!"
Both sides held their own thoughts as they moved forward.
A subtle change occurred between the two parties.
After standing still for a while, Freyr quietly chanted to himself, "Time Bond amplification fusion~"
This command acted like a spell, producing an effect on him.
With double amplification in speed, his figure became elusive, moving like a gust of wind. The Military Dagger swung out without hesitation in a swift and intricate motion.
A sudden chill swept over, a coldness akin to a blizzard, quickly bringing with it a sharp pain. The speed of it was alarming, and soon another wave of pain surged through.
This time, it was a massive, crisscrossed wound, even larger than the previous one.
"What’s happening?" the Radiation Victim felt a shift in the air around him.
Then came a fierce sting from behind, as a sharp black spike protruded violently from his chest.
It was the black Military Dagger, seemingly untouched by any blood.
Sometimes, when speed reaches a certain threshold, such situations can occur.
The Radiation Victim spat out blood, his pupils dilating slightly as he turned to look back.
A stern face was fixated on him, and then the symbolic Black Military Dagger was pulled out forcefully.
As it was withdrawn, blood splattered from his chest.
In an instant, that figure vanished from sight.
Silently returning to its original position.
"Strange," Freyr gasped for breath as he landed back on the ground, quickly glancing at the White Giant Bug.
The enormous body trembled slightly, and even the Radiation Victim shivered in response.
His eyes flushed red as a roar erupted violently from him.
It seemed as if it had been subjected to immense stimulation.
Perhaps it was the powerful blow that caused the entire back of the Radiation Victim to arch into a crescent shape.
It appeared to be struggling to endure the wounds in its chest, but at that moment, the injuries seemed to be healing slowly, gradually merging together from the inside out.
Even if its Heart was damaged, it was still utterly helpless against this monster. Was there truly no way to defeat it?
Just as this thought crossed its mind, the body of the Radiation Victim became unusually smooth, as if a transparent white membrane was gradually forming.
Two new limbs began to unfold—two new arms had actually split off.
On either side of its neck, enormous sacs emerged, one on each side, slowly taking shape with clear facial features.
It was becoming more and more similar to its original form, gradually producing an identical outline.
Two heads, two arms; this sudden development was quite astonishing.
Freyr watched this entity, which resembled cellular division and could not be killed by physical means, and cursed inwardly.
"What on earth is happening? Is it immortal?" Freyr muttered under his breath.
But he felt a dark shadow looming above him, pressing down. He quickly cast aside his thoughts.
He swiftly escaped, narrowly avoiding the sharp edge at a critical moment, sliding away from the Giant Bug's massive body.
This time, Freyr was even more surprised; what was happening? Its speed had increased significantly compared to before.
If it weren't for his quick reflexes, he might have ended up like the cracked ground beneath him, splattered into a mess of flesh.
"That was close!" Freyr wiped the sweat from his forehead.
"Hahaha, I'll crush you, I'll crush you~ Aren't I amazing?" The voice of the Radiation Victims continued to echo.
The massive body was once again ready, coiling like a white serpent before springing up again, this time faster than usual.
In about a second, this was Freyr's Ultimate reflexes, doubling the amplification that merely enhanced his physical power output.
This speed did not enhance his offensive capabilities, and once unleashed, there was no turning back, even for himself.
Though it was called Time Bond, it had nothing to do with time at all.
The ability to truly manipulate time was incredibly rare, almost nonexistent. Even if one had a similar Ability, it could not be equally reciprocated.
Any power that was excessively strong would always require something in return.
Time Bond only enhanced speed, at most providing a multiplier effect.
At present, he could only adapt to six times the intensity, which was already considered Ultimate level; anything beyond four times could not be regarded as manageable territory.
Six times was even more perilous; it felt like carrying a bundle of dynamite into battle—one wrong move and it could explode at any moment.
He could very well find himself crashing into something due to the sudden speed and unknowingly meet his end.
Since there hadn't been time for him to undergo adaptive training, he felt utterly powerless against it.
On this battlefield for the first time, he displayed great courage, but bravery alone was not enough. His progress had already made him stand out among his peers, yet that was far from sufficient to contend with the opponent before him. The Radiation Victims would not treat him as a newcomer.
In a sense, a significant hatred had already formed between them; only the blood of the enemy could cleanse the hatred within.
This transformation was something even the Radiation Victims had never anticipated.
Hidden within this reborn body was such powerful strength; perhaps it could ascend to become a god.
It became a rebel.
"I didn't expect such progress; this one is indeed a talent," the Vassal in the air responded lightly.
However, the Radiation Victims did not hear that response. Had it heard, it might have unleashed its first wave of anger upon it.
Not long after gaining this power, those who stood out would soon face calamity.
After indulging in a feast of violence and fury, it would head to the Underworld Road to meet its demise.
What an ideal scenario that would be.
The Radiation Victims chuckled darkly. "No, it can't end like this. I want your death to be excruciating, to tear your body apart, to crush your Heart, and let you die slowly."
The release of anger was still insufficient to vent the resentment within the Radiation Victims. Its eyes radiated a chilling malice, black energy threatening to spill from its pupils.
All of this was forced upon it by the human before it, pushing it beyond the Ultimate.
Rage and fury nourished this terrifying power, and at this moment, it could no longer contain itself.
It never had to endure this.
A surge of dark energy erupted from its eyes, pouring out like fire in a fierce torrent.
“Tch, seems like I've angered a monster,” Freya muttered under his breath, unable to tolerate the incessant chatter.
At this point, he fell silent.
“Time Bond Sixfold Amplification Fusion.”
This time, he chose to skip the fourfold amplification fusion and jumped straight to sixfold; everything became uncertain.
The unpredictable factors, the uncontrollable body—everything could lead to many uncontrollable variables for him.
One misstep could render everything irreversible.
“Whoosh~”
The sound of slicing through the air suddenly erupted.
Radiation Victims, astonished, began scanning the corners with their three heads and three eyes.
“Didn’t see clearly~”
The three heads swallowed hard in unison.
The speed was already so fast it was nearly invisible, and then with a “bang~,” the White Giant Bug began to shatter piece by piece, sliced open by the blades.
Above the Rift, an excess of Rift energy caused the Self-Healing Ability to fail to respond quickly enough, resulting in all the muscles being severed by the blade.
Not a single excess part was left behind; otherwise, the Self-Healing Ability would not activate.
When injuries reach a certain severity, the effectiveness of the Self-Healing Ability becomes chaotic.
If a Giant Bug were to be sliced into pieces, even with a dominant Self-Healing Ability, it would take a long time to recover.
"Ahhh~~" The three heads screamed in unison, filled with frustration as they shrieked, "Unforgivable, unforgivable~~"
Their bodies were blasted to shreds when a sharp fist struck again.
One of the heads of the Radiation Victims exploded instantly, bursting like a shattered watermelon.
Although it could regenerate, it was clear that if it were killed in one swift motion, the fastest healing function would not have time to react. If the body was already dead, then there would be no healing ability strong enough to revive a corpse.
That would not be infinite cell division; it would require an immortal body to achieve such a feat.
It wasn't just the Radiation Victims that underwent changes.
However, this time it was the Radiation Victims who suffered. One head was blown off; while it did not cost them their life, it was still a third of their existence gone. The struggle was evident on their fierce faces.
They wished nothing more than to devour the grotesque sight before them.
Suddenly, another fist sliced through the air with a sharp edge, and yet another head exploded.
"Wow~" The remaining head quickly formed a scab, while the other arms on the upper body stood alert in all directions.
But this was of no use; the attack came again through the air.
Sting struck once more, and in that moment, one arm was cleanly severed.
"Wow~" Radiation Victims cried out in pain, covering their pale face.
Looking at the shadow that flickered in front of him, he thought for a moment that he was seeing things. What was attacking him?
It was indeed strange; there had been no warning when it got close. Three pairs of eyes should have seen more clearly than just one.
There had never been a mistake in observing the enemy and reacting accordingly.
Although each head had only one eye, their vision was absolutely clear, and their perception of speed was just as sharp.
However, when Confronting this opponent, none of the three eyes could make out the shadow of the enemy.
He had inexplicably lost an arm and two heads, and this injury would only continue to worsen.
