Stepping out of the Wanderer's Home, Freyr felt a slight discomfort and instinctively pulled his arms in, sneezing several times in quick succession. 0

Once outside, he noticed a commotion in the corner as two or three people approached, pushing and shoving each other. Suddenly, he recognized one of them—Wu Hua, the one who had received permission from the hunters. The two others flanking him were not being gentle as they grabbed his arms and headed straight for the Wanderer's Home. 0

"Big Brother, Second Brother, you haven't obtained permission from the hunters; isn't this a bit inappropriate?" Wu Hua's voice was shaky. Although he had passed the public assessment by the Hunter Association, proving himself to be a lucky Examiner, even the strongest individuals have their weaknesses. His weakness was family ties, particularly with his two older brothers. 0

Wu Tong chuckled, "Hey, Third Brother, you clearly don’t understand how things work. It’s obvious you haven’t put in any effort; it’s a mystery how the association even selected you for the hunter list. But I can tell you this—my brother and I are both stronger than you. Also, we’ve overheard about your team formation notice. You’re planning to form a Hunter Team and hand over the captaincy to me?" 0

Wu Xin chimed in eagerly, playing up the family card. "Third Brother, you know that Second Brother cares for you the most. Whenever there’s meat at dinner, he always lets you have more. He even lets you pick out the best clothes first. Given all that we've done for you, don’t be ungrateful. Using your hunter license to form a team is no big deal. Your two brothers aren’t the kind of useless people who would abandon you in danger." 0

"Um, but..." Wu Hua fidgeted with his fingers, unsure of what to do as he glanced between his two older brothers. 0

Wu Tong smiled mysteriously and exchanged a knowing look with Wu Xin, who nodded in understanding before continuing, "There’s no ‘but’ about it! With you leading us on missions, everyone will remember your name. Honestly, your big brother and I don’t care much about reputation or vanity; we’re doing this all for you! We’re genuinely concerned for your well-being." As he spoke, Wu Xin's tone shifted dramatically to one resembling that of a father lecturing his son. 0

"Big Brother, Second Brother, I need to discuss something with you," Wu Hua took a deep breath, straightened his neck, and with a sudden burst of strength freed himself from their grasp. Wu Tong and Wu Xin stood there dumbfounded as he straightened up politely. 0

"Did you see that? When did he manage to do that?" 0

"I’m not sure, but in an instant I felt an unusual power emanating from Hua. It made me instinctively want to pull back my hands; I don’t know why—it was strange." 0

The two brothers stared blankly at him. They had no idea how cunning their younger brother could be. Despite being the youngest member of the family and a child from a blended family after their parents remarried—though he later adopted the prestigious Wu surname—his brothers had never respected him. 0

He had nice clothes to wear and delicious dishes to savor; most of the time it wasn’t because he deserved it. The nice clothes were leftovers after his brothers had chosen theirs first; meals were served to their father and elders before he could sit down to eat what little remained on the table. 0

Although he had not been truly abused, Wu Hua grew up with a hint of defiance in his heart. He wanted to break the disparity of status, but he did not intend to become a tyrant once he gained power, unleashing all the suffering he had endured onto others. Instead, he was determined to help those unfortunate children in need, guiding them to grow and educating them to understand the changes brought about by their environment. 0

His two older brothers were not aware of this; their lips moved, their faces displaying unusual expressions, clearly communicating silently with each other. 0

Wu Hua understood the skills passed down through the Wu Clan—knowledge meant to be kept within the family. Although he was nominally the adopted son of the Wu family, they did not regard him as one of their own but rather as a child raised under their roof. Therefore, the silent communication between the Wu brothers could never be taught to him. While Wu Hua did not know what they were discussing, he could analyze that those words were certainly not meant to be spoken in his presence. 0

"Brothers, I want to venture out on my own. I do not plan to use my Hunter license to form my own team because I am still immature, just as you both are. Until you pass your assessments, please continue honing your skills; it may not take long." 0

Upon hearing this, Wu Xin stepped forward, reaching out as if to pat Wu Hua's head but suddenly seized him by the neck instead, revealing a fierce expression. "Bastard! You think you can act tough just because I gave you a little leeway? You need to understand that you are merely a guest in our family, no better than a servant. Do you think acting like this makes you brave? You should just do what I tell you without question. You coward! Just like before, whenever something happens and you get bullied, you hide behind us and cry. Even if you join the Hunter Association, without us backing you up, you won't get far." 0

He expected Wu Hua to cry and whimper as he had before. Then Wu Xin would release him and pat his forehead, saying, "That's right; listen to your brother's advice, and you won't go astray." 0

However, at that moment, something felt off to Wu Xin. The grip on his neck suddenly tightened. His instincts urged him to let go, but then his wrist was firmly grasped. An immense strength coursed through his arm, making him feel as if his bones were about to crack or bend. 0

"Ah! It hurts! Bastard! Let go of me or I'll tell Father and have him deal with you!" 0

"Hmph! If Father knew how often you bullied me, he would likely agree with my actions. The spirit of the Bel Warrior legacy does not tolerate oppression of the weak; it fights for justice and righteousness. Father will understand that what I'm doing is right." 0

"You think I'm still the old me? No! I've been training hard every night while you've been under Father's strict teachings and scoldings. I've pushed myself even harder every night under my own discipline. You think I'm still who I used to be? You're mistaken! I will not allow two pests like you to disrupt others' success." 0

"Or perhaps your existence as an older brother was always meant to keep me down so that I could never rise up? If that's the case, I don't need brothers like you." Wu Hua's icy voice was filled with killing intent. 0

"I... I was wrong." 0

Wu Xin couldn't bear to meet that deep gaze, and the grip on his wrist indeed loosened. His older brother, Tong, rushed forward and hurriedly draped one of Wu Xin's arms over his shoulder, looking frantic like a lost dog, with a chilling murderous intent in his eyes. They had nothing left to say to each other, and Wu Hua didn't want to see them anymore; he turned away and prepared to leave. 0

"Hey—" A pause in the voice, then Tong spoke up. "If you don't recognize us, there will be a price to pay for those words. If it weren't for your stepmother protecting you, perhaps you wouldn't even have these conditions for survival. So why don't you leave something behind? When I return, I'll tell Father that you've died during the assessment." 0

He drew a precious bow from his body and swiftly nocked an arrow. The string was taut like a full moon, and in that moment, the Feather reached its ultimate power, shooting straight toward Wu Hua's back. If it hit, the Feather could pierce right through his chest. 0

"Please die!" 0

Wu Hua felt a cold chill creeping up his back; that fear was emanating from someone he was familiar with. Usually, only the pressure from elders could hold him down, along with the pure legacy of the Bellwulf Family that posed a lethal threat. 0

At that moment, Wu Hua found himself unable to evade; the distance was simply too close. 0

Moreover, just the presence of that pressure made his legs feel as heavy as lead, immobilizing him. His pupils narrowed to pinpricks as he sensed death approaching slowly, as if something within him was being released. 0

His bones roared and cracked loudly; the extraordinary strength, speed, and reflexes within him were fully ignited. 0
