Upon hearing the cold, indifferent voice, everyone instinctively shrank their heads. Froth reacted the quickest; having trained in marksmanship and lived off hunting alongside authentic hunters, his senses were naturally more acute than those of ordinary people. The murderous intent that hung in the air felt like being targeted by a wild wolf, sending a shiver down his spine. 0

As he turned his head slightly, he saw Duan Shuai's neck completely immobilized, a sharp blade grazing against his carotid artery. It seemed that even the slightest struggle would result in a piercing pain that could break the skin, a torment he would likely remember for the rest of his life. Additionally, an arm from Stormstream Palace rested on Duan Shuai's shoulder, causing Froth's throat to constrict uncomfortably. 0

Both men were momentarily stunned. Froth turned back in disbelief, estimating the distance from the valley to where they stood—at least forty meters away. Even at a glance, it strained his eyes. How could anyone have circled around them so quickly? 0

It was evident to any observer that less than ten seconds had passed since they began to take notice of their surroundings. Was it possible to locate them within that brief span? Froth pinched the muscle of his thigh as a wave of soreness hit him. While he pondered ways to escape, he suddenly heard Duan Shuai let out a pained cry before collapsing into unconsciousness. 0

"What are you going to do?!" 0

Before he could finish his sentence, a hand struck the pressure point at the back of his head with force. A swift motion rendered him unable to maintain consciousness; sleepiness overwhelmed him, accompanied by a dull ache at the back of his skull. The pain felt like a jolt to his brain—though it hurt somewhat, instinct told him that staying awake was nearly impossible. 0

Ultimately, he could not escape the fate of being dominated. 0

Stormstream Palace took a deep breath and said lightly, "One, two, three... there are three people in total. There should be one more without any trace. We’ll find out what happened when we go back." 0

"Wake up, wake up~" 0

It was unclear how much time had passed during Froth's slumber; no one had laid a hand on him. In his hazy consciousness, he sensed someone calling out to him. Instinctively, he opened his bleary eyes only to find darkness surrounding him—everything had turned black. 0

"Hey there, you're awake! Did you sleep well?" Froth abruptly turned his head toward the voice. The person before him was rugged and muscular—the very strongman who had launched stones at them. Realizing it was him speaking, Froth defiantly turned his head away. 0

In the next moment, he felt a twitch at the corner of his mouth. Not far from him—almost within arm's reach—were several burlap sacks containing individuals inside them. They all poked their heads out slightly; aside from breathing, any movement was restricted within the large sacks. 0

In addition to that, there was a figure that seemed somewhat familiar. Duan Shuai's forehead was covered in blood, as if he had been brutally tortured long before this moment. Aside from the visible signs of breathing, he lay there like a useless sack, his head poking out of a large cloth bag, emitting faint sounds of breath—proof that he was still alive. 0

After the Strongman walked away, the earlier voice suddenly rang out again. "You're awake; that's great! I thought you were..." After this remark, the person tried to struggle but found it impossible to break free. 0

"Could it be that voice?" Froth's heart skipped a beat. He instinctively exclaimed in surprise but quickly silenced himself. "Why were you captured too? You couldn't possibly have lost to them, could you? We're done for now. With your strength, you might have been able to escape, but now that we're caught, who can save us?" 0

The voice next to him took a deep breath, seemingly trying hard to think of something to say. However, at such a time, saying less was always better. The voice continued, this time sounding quite embarrassed. "Well? I didn't expect it either; it just happened..." 0

Froth shook his head upon hearing this. He quickly looked around but did not see the figure he expected; not even a shadow was visible. Instead, he saw a face on the other side, dark and brooding as it stared at him. From the light reflecting off the person's hands, it was clear that this Loli was likely an expert at inflicting pain; the nail clippers in her hands could easily become weapons for murder. He recalled how Duan Shuai had been rendered immobile by those very clippers. 0

"Let's not talk too much; it's better for both of us. Besides, while you were asleep, I took a peek into your thoughts and learned that your remaining companion is the son of your family's hunter, right? That person is called Aeros. We're just waiting for him to walk into our trap. Oh, and there's one more thing I need to tell you—it will be an unfortunate event for you: the Crimson Dragon Army will soon be eliminated. But before that happens, our team has already breached other military camps!" 0

Froth struggled a few times and managed to loosen the rope around his throat just enough to create a small gap. He then said, "What exactly do you want? You know breaking military exercises is a crime; you can't escape from this." 0

Stormstream Palace ignored him completely and continued to file her nails. "The Crimson Dragon Army is an elite force; naturally, they should be saved for last as the dessert after dinner. But who would have thought this elite force isn't as formidable as imagined? As long as there are people who resist stubbornly, we will continue this game until everyone is utterly demoralized. The rules of this game are simply to test your mental fortitude." 0

"So now I've concluded that no matter which army it is, they are not yet adapted to real warfare. Once they enter the battlefield, death will occur in large numbers. Perhaps death happens on every battlefield, but we humans absolutely cannot allow such things to happen. If the armies fail, there will be no way to restrain the invasion of insects; therefore, we cannot lose!" 0

Stormstream Palace's meaning was clear: despite their strict military discipline, these armies struggled on the battlefield and were easily defeated by a group of people. When this girl spoke these words, she left little room for counterarguments because these individuals were far too powerful. 0

However, Froth was greatly shocked by her words and felt a warning within them: if their goal was to defeat the army, there might be another possibility—that they were testing the army's strength under the leadership of a more professional organization. 0

Stormstream Palace shook her head with a smile and said, "No need for pretenses; I'll tell you that our purpose this time is to break conventions and seek new breakthroughs. A new era is about to arrive; thus, both sides must make concessions. That's why we've come here to participate in this boring battle." 0

"Once the exercise is over, I will let you go. Until then, just stay here with me; at least this is a safe place. You can come out of the bag, but you cannot cross that line over there. If you do, I cannot guarantee your physical well-being, and you won't be able to escape." 0

Froth gritted his teeth and took a deep look at the Stormstream Palace in front of him. Then he inhaled deeply and opened the bag, standing up as he declared, "How will I know if I don't try!" 0

"I won't let you leave!" A flash of silver light appeared in the hands of Stormstream Palace, and suddenly a sharp penetrating wound appeared on Froth's shoulder. He clutched his neck, gasping for breath, desperately trying to draw air into his lungs. Before long, his senses began to fade, and he trembled as he collapsed to the ground, quickly losing consciousness. 0
