"The game has only just begun. Forget about the touchdown you just scored; from now on, it won't be that easy." 0

Long Xingchen's words were as cold as ice, chilling to the bone, quickly rousing everyone's spirits. 0

As the alternating offensive play of the Star Team unfolded, the defensive leader Adams made an astonishing block right from the start. To the opposing team, this layer of defense seemed as flimsy as paper, yet at the same time, their defensive line was unable to advance even an inch against it. 0

The pressure from this defensive stance was unprecedented since training began, creating a sense of urgency that was palpable. However, it also took a toll on both sides' stamina. For an ordinary person to maintain such a heavy load of suppressing firepower and defense for an extended period was exhausting. The last newcomer on the bench needed to be ready to substitute at any moment, allowing for balance during the second half of the match. 0

Once the firepower defense was breached, everyone would be on high alert. At that point, controlling the situation would not be simple. Both offensive teams moved quickly with the ball, no longer fixated on special plays to score easily. A particular player receiving special attention from the opponent aimed to draw in multiple defenders, activating more members of their offensive team behind them. This was all part of Star Team's strategy. 0

If the ball became stagnant in hand, the worst outcome would be if they couldn't open up their firepower; the ball would be intercepted. Even though they were all newcomers, they understood that Ice Dust Team's current defense relied on one-on-one coverage across the field. There was no room for others to assist; instead, they were split into individual matchups. For some players with weaker skills in specific areas, this posed a significant challenge—they could not break through freely and would find themselves cornered until the referee stopped play, leading to a swift change in offense. 0

The game was ever-changing. It was unclear which philosopher had developed such a sophisticated sport; without specific firepower points on the court, controlling the entire game was impossible. Guo Yu, as Command Tower, wanted desperately to break through and score but knew he could not do so alone. He needed to activate his team's formation Chain. If either side's deployment became unbalanced, he would be failing in his role as captain and had to secure points to manage his anxiety. 0

"Nemo!" Freyr called out. 0

"Coming!" 0

In this new round of offense, the defensive line was quickly torn apart. Perhaps Adams and his teammates were severely fatigued; Ice Dust Team held a six-point advantage and needed to expand that lead further—six points were not much; a single touchdown could tie them or even put them behind by one. 0

As they pushed toward the edge of play, Nemo steadied the ball on the ground. Freyr felt anxious; Adams in defense even showed signs of despair but still clung tightly to his opponent's foot. The other members of both teams could lose control at any moment; after all, they were up against a group of tall and muscular opponents whose defensive line was crumbling under pressure. 0

"Score! We can't hold him back!" Adams shouted urgently. 0

He knew he couldn't stop his opponent but continued to hold onto their foot—a foul in the game—yet it did manage to hinder their movement. The referee promptly issued him a foul penalty. 0

However, this only delayed his opponent for a moment before a burly man with bulging muscles and a flushed face charged forward with an arm aimed directly at Adams' throat. 0

Before that happened, Freyr took a powerful kick from 55 yards out and sent the ball soaring into the goalpost with precision for three points. 0

This was his first score in an official setting, but just as he felt elated inside, an arm struck him squarely in the throat. He fell backward and landed three meters away. 0

The sudden attack from Confronting caught him off guard as Mihir raised his arm apologetically and said with feigned friendliness, "Oh no, I didn't mean to." 0

Despite this, the earlier actions were too deliberate, prompting the referee to blow the whistle and issue a foul warning. 0

As the Surgeons approached, they glanced at the injured throat area, aware of how dangerous such an injury could be. They pressed their hands against their chests, and Freyr suddenly opened his eyes, taking a few deep breaths before awakening from his daze. 0

"Are you alright? Move your eyes so I can check for a concussion," one of the Surgeons said as he picked up a flashlight and carefully examined one of Freyr's eyes. 0

"I'm fine; this is nothing," Freyr replied as he stood up and brushed off the dirt from his backside. 0

"That’s not acceptable. You’re injured, and we need to examine you. What’s more important, your health or the game? Some injuries can affect your future career," the Surgeon insisted earnestly. 0

At that moment, Long Xingchen walked over, exuding calmness. "I will vouch for him. If he shows any signs of distress, I will immediately pull him from the game. You can wait on the sidelines." 0

As he spoke, he pressed on Freyr's neck, hesitating for a moment before turning slightly. "Alright, get back in position; the opposing team is about to attack." 0

With that, Freyr returned to his position with some doubt, while the Surgeons shook their heads helplessly and stepped back to the edge of the field. 0

With a roar, Adams led the defensive group as they were knocked to the ground. The Star Team was on fire, and it was impossible to surround them completely. This time, they charged forward with such intensity that it became difficult for anyone lacking stamina to defend effectively. 0

Sometimes unexpected events occur; Long Xingchen, as the last line of defense, was the first to charge out. As Command Tower, he needed to protect the final goal. He swiftly intercepted the ball and sprinted across the field. The number of opponents closing in was overwhelming, but he managed to draw them in and quickly passed the ball to Pal, who was running alongside him. 0

Pal passed it to Hank, who then sent it to Nemo. Nemo returned it to Freyr, placing it at his feet. 0

Amidst the chaos of pushing and shouting, Freyr unleashed a powerful kick that tore through the defense and sent the ball soaring toward the goal. At that moment, Guo Yu, from the backline Command Tower, leaped up and with a decisive move knocked the ball down to the ground. 0

Once he regained his composure, he discarded the ball and passed it to a teammate. 0

According to game rules, if a ball does not enter the goal and is intercepted by an opponent, there is an opportunity to regroup and launch a new attack. The Confronting receiver executed a high-speed pass that fell into the hands of their team leader—a massive man covered in lumps—who hesitated briefly after committing a foul earlier but now seemed unconcerned. Instead, he barreled forward on the field; anyone standing in his way would be knocked down by his sheer force. His actions straddled the line between foul and non-foul; as long as he didn’t step too far over that line, it was entirely up to the referee’s discretion whether or not to call a foul. 0

If the referee accepted this level of aggressive play as acceptable, it would only validate such behavior; however, injuring someone would still be unacceptable. 0

"It’s fine; someone will help me guard the goal," Long Xingchen said calmly without a hint of arrogance. 0

"Ha ha, you fell for it." The giant stuck out his tongue, then raised both hands high, his body slightly bent as if preparing to throw a shot put. This motion was a high-speed throw; having broken through the defensive line, he was deep inside the paint, with only a short distance to the basket. 0

Clearly, this was a high-speed throw, and tossing the ball directly at the hoop counted as a score. In other games, this might be considered a foul, but in Mad Bluefoot, the rules were all about scoring. Regardless of how it was done, whether by hand or foot, the core principle remained: control the score. Deviating from this core would lead even the most sophisticated machine astray. 0

The giant's high-speed throw was comparable to a long-range shot. The ball had power behind it, though not particularly fast. Meanwhile, Long Xingchen wore an expression of emptiness in his eyes as he focused on the trajectory. He raised both hands in a volleyball block position, hoping to deflect the ball away. But suddenly, his arm muscles contracted rapidly, and with a flick of his wrist, he sent out a spiraling force that nearly propelled him off his feet. 0

"Useless! Are you going to fly away? I'll just grab the ball and throw it again," the giant laughed. 0

"Is that so? It is heavy, but it's not impossible to catch," Long Xingchen replied quietly as he took a deep breath. The ball settled firmly between his hands; the intense spin had completely dissipated. Now it was the giant's turn to show concern as Long Xingchen, positioned at the three-point line, dashed forward for a high-speed throw. A waiting receiver caught the ball and with a powerful motion sent it crashing into the hoop. Meanwhile, Guo Yu of Command Tower stood by the basket, indifferent and unresponsive. 0

As the third quarter of the second half began, although Star Team started to counterattack, Long Xingchen abandoned his position at Command Tower and became the best playmaker on the court. The two passers continuously exchanged the ball, turning their opponent's basket into a sieve while Guo Yu floundered around like a monkey trying to intercept. 0

With one more shot landing in the hoop, Guo Yu fell flat on his back. It was a close-range shot from one yard out; Freyr executed a lethal shot that found its way into the basket, scoring fifteen points for his team with only three missed attempts. 0

With that final shot just made, the third quarter came to an end. 0

A two-minute break ensued. 0
