Freyr struggled to regain clarity of consciousness, forcing his weak body to walk in front of Maggie. 0

He reached out and tore off the Red Badge, glancing at the bystanders with a genuine smile. "I won." 0

As soon as he spoke, he crumpled the Red Badge and collapsed at the entrance of the auditorium. This action seemed to frighten the other students. Moments later, a large group of mysterious individuals dressed in long white garments appeared from nowhere. 0

One of the women approached the two most severely injured individuals first. She pinched their pulse between her fingers for a while, even pressing her ear against their chests. Panic-stricken, she raised her head and shouted, "Suspected Heart Rate Index is abnormal! Does anyone have Cardiac Stimulant? Bring over the stretcher! Subcutaneous Tissue is bleeding heavily; internal tissue is partially damaged and requires immediate surgery!" 0

Then she turned to another man who appeared to have a flushed complexion, listening intently to his heartbeat. She exclaimed in surprise, "This one has severe knee damage and needs Plaster of Paris. Subcutaneous Tissue is bleeding profusely; he requires an internal incision. The majority of Subcutaneous Tissue on his earlobe connected to his cheek is damaged and needs skin grafting. He also shows mild mental instability and unconsciousness in his mental domain. Who did this to him? Surgeon, give him a dose of Biological Antidote." 0

On the ground, Freyr felt dizzy, caught between sleep and wakefulness. A cool sensation seemed to appear around his neck, and a refreshing feeling quickly washed over him. He recognized this as the effect of the Cardiac Stimulant, and his heart rate began to show signs of recovery. With several Surgeons slapping him awake, he gradually returned to normal levels. 0

However, returning to normal levels did not mean that his condition was fine. The Surgeons surrounding him saw the damaged tissue protruding from his body and were understandably alarmed as they rushed to provide emergency treatment. After administering Cardiac Stimulant, they injected a sedative and painkiller into his arm's artery; a fresh liquid coursed through him, rapidly inducing drowsiness. 0

After that, everything became a blur. He could only vaguely feel countless hands moving across his skin, sharp knives cutting through flesh and tissue as damaged organs were meticulously removed. This was far more painful than he had imagined; even in his hazy state, he sensed that he was being observed by a group of Surgeons, almost becoming a biological specimen under medical instruments. 0

Inside the room, sounds of busy Surgeons echoed continuously. The room was filled with patients who looked on eagerly as doctors passed by them without offering any greetings. Their current state was frustrating. 0

In the Intensive Care Unit, three lines of caution tape marked off areas inside and out, with several Military Personnel stationed outside. 0

One Surgeon squinted at the unusual data displayed on the Virtual Screen with dissatisfaction and ordered, "Revive the heartbeats; extract the damaged organs." 0

"Compatible transplant organs have arrived..." At that moment, a young nurse rushed in anxiously from outside. 0

The Surgeon tossed her an access card and turned back to focus on the equipment. "I don't have much time; go match the transplant organs' data and bring over any suitable ones directly here." 0

The nurse took the access card, glanced at the situation inside, then hurriedly ran out of the intensive care unit. Within minutes, apart from the rhythmic sounds of breathing machines, there was almost no other noise in the room. The Surgeons gathered around a precise array of instruments, staring at the digital data displayed before them. However, they faced an incredibly thick Glass Wall with no furnishings or basic facilities inside—just a simple silver-white metallic layout that could become monotonous if stared at too long. Yet these Surgeons paid no mind to such details; their attention was entirely focused on a Container before them. 0

Inside the container floated a naked man, his eyes squinting as if in pain. His white skin and golden hair gave him an ethereal appearance, though it was hard to tell what his original skin tone was, likely having swollen from prolonged exposure to water. Yet, within this container, he seemed to feel quite comfortable, akin to living in his mother's amniotic fluid. A conduit was placed in his mouth, bubbling softly as air escaped. 0

Gradually, the man’s body began to heal, but there were no signs of awakening. A neat incision ran across his abdomen and chest, revealing several electronic arms moving back and forth inside him, coated with a special liquid. It was evident that the torn flesh and broken bones were rapidly fusing together. 0

In this green liquid-filled container, even the minor wounds were closing quickly, not to mention the severely damaged injuries. In place of his heart, a black creator pulsed rhythmically within the opened chest and abdomen. The boy survived in this near-hypoxic state by relying on the nutrients from the test tube. 0

Several surgeons stared in disbelief, nodding involuntarily. The cost of such equipment was exorbitant; it wasn't something any hospital could easily procure through competitive bidding for gene reconstruction solutions. For soldiers with severe injuries, even the most skilled medical officers performing electronic biochemical surgery often yielded little effect. Typically, when surgeons encountered patients like this, they could only extend their lives until the patient awakened and insisted that the necrotic tissue needed to be excised. 0

Suddenly, a man in military uniform entered the room. He surveyed everything before sitting down beside the glass wall. "Well, I'm here. I just want to know how the patient is doing. I don't want to hear any nonsense; tell me if there's any possibility of recovery from the gene chain collapse." 0

A young nurse lowered her head and leaned closer to his ear, whispering, "Hello, sir. It's strictly forbidden for outsiders to speak loudly here; please don’t make it difficult for me." 0

"The reborn warrior has a loud voice; my apologies. How is he doing? Is there still hope for him? I only care about whether this child can survive safely. The military has provided you with data and funding for gene recombination engineering research; it's time for results. Don’t play games with me; you know my temper—I hate it when people beat around the bush with pleasantries. Just give me the truth," the officer said anxiously. 0

The nurse suddenly fell silent. 0

The officer patted her shoulder and smiled gently. "Let’s find someone more capable to talk to me; I’m afraid you can’t handle the consequences—this isn’t your responsibility." 0

The nurse nodded silently, hesitating for a moment before approaching a bald male surgeon nearby. She whispered into his ear. Upon hearing her words, the surgeon's expression changed dramatically. He glanced at the observing officer and waved his hand dismissively before stepping forward. 0

"Commander Fang," he said cautiously, "what do you wish to discuss with me personally? It’s quite awkward for my subordinates to see this." 0

Instructor Fang smiled as he gazed through the glass wall at the floating figure of the man inside the container, pondering silently for a moment. 0

"The gene chain has been violently disrupted; according to our estimates, this is only in the first stage and should not affect the genetic level. However, there is significant damage to soft tissue inside due to wound infections sustained during combat. We had to remove a portion of it; facial bones are fractured, and his trachea was nearly distorted. His mental awareness is slightly blurred..." 0

"Alright, alright, stop right there. You clearly don’t understand my question; just tell me if there’s any chance of saving him. As for your medical jargon, I’ll consider reading your apology letter when you decide to write one—let's skip that for now." 0

The Surgeon in front of them nodded slightly, as if coming to a realization. "It seems there is a glimmer of improvement in his condition. As for the areas of bruising, they have already been cleared out. We are currently focusing on localized maintenance. His internal organs are somewhat overloaded. To be honest, in all my years as a doctor, I have never seen a child with a heart nearly the size of an adult's at forty years old. It's truly astonishing." 0

The Surgeon let out a bitter laugh. 0

Instructor Fang could easily hear the hint of helplessness in the Surgeon's voice. 0

After the organ was brought into the room, several Surgeons frantically pressed the virtual keyboard displayed on the instruments. The blood-red organ was removed and discarded into a Container. When a blue Heart was extracted, everyone was momentarily stunned. It was an incredibly deteriorated Heart, seemingly filled with bacteria, not only stained with the grime of Cigarettes but also various unspeakable filth. 0

Once the Heart was taken out, it was immediately placed in ammonia for preservation. However, when attempting to transplant that fiery red Heart into the body, signs of distress appeared on the Virtual Screen indicating that the man's Life Signs were faltering. Inside, the man’s fingers twitched slightly as he drowsily opened his eyes. He glanced at the outside world but quickly fell back into slumber. 0

The Surgeons exchanged panicked whispers; the amount of Anesthetic administered was twice that of an average person, making it impossible for him to awaken. 0

Yet despite this impossibility, everyone present could not have misinterpreted the earlier signs of Awakening. 0

"What is going on? If he has awakened, why has he fallen back into unconsciousness?" Instructor Fang hesitated for a moment before reprimanding them in an urgent tone. 0

"I’m not sure either. Perhaps he is still not fully accustomed to the transformative effects of the new Heart on his body. It will take some time for him to adapt and reach his previous level of function. His physique is quite robust; after this brush with life and death, the Gene Chain should not have fatal effects on him." 0

"However, side effects are inevitable. The modern medical field cannot explain how that Gene Chain produces negative effects on this body. Just as we began to delve into genetic studies and researchers decoded human DNA, our newly developed Biological Hormone might improve human physiology while enhancing immunity during this process." 0
