"You, a person at the Dao Fruit Stage, are competing against someone at the Foundation Establishment Stage and not bullying them? Theoretically, the difference in strength should be at least ten thousand times. How can that not be considered bullying?" a disciple of the You Xian Sect shouted angrily. They were under someone else's roof and had no choice but to lower their heads.
However, Zhao Yang was excitedly running towards the Youxian Saint Child, circling around him and seemingly not focusing on him at all. The crowd was puzzled, unsure of what Zhao Yang was up to. After observing for a moment, Zhao Yang clapped his hands in admiration and exclaimed, "This is the legendary wheelchair! Tell me, who crafted this wheelchair? What a genius!"
"Zhao Yang, do as you please, but do not insult this Holy Son," the Overlord Saint Child struggled slightly and gritted his teeth at Zhao Yang.
"Just you as a Holy Son!"
Smack!
Song Baliang slapped the back of the Youxian Saint Child's head, sending him flying out of his wheelchair. The Youxian Saint Child fell to the ground like a dead dog.
"You’re asking for death!" Yin Yang Wanderer snorted angrily, unable to hold back from wanting to strike.
"Amitabha, please do not be angry," Datong Zen Master called out as he noticed Yin Yang Wanderer's True Qi locking onto Song Baliang. "This is my Xuanfo Temple."
Datong's words came out without a hint of embarrassment, but if outsiders heard him, they would surely scold him for being shameless. His implication was clear: who dares to fight on my turf?
"You are bullying us too much!" A frail-looking disciple from the You Xian Sect stepped forward, his face filled with indignation as he looked at Zhao Yang and Song Baliang.
The people from Xuanfo Temple exchanged glances, unsure of what Zhao Yang was up to. If they weren't aware that these two brothers could even strike their own master when they went mad, their strong sense of justice would have led them to berate them both severely by now. They looked at Zhao Yang, waiting for an explanation.
Zhao Yang turned to the frail young man and said, "You made this wheelchair, right? It's quite good. If you follow me from now on, there might come a day when I need your help. What's your name?"
The Weak Youth replied, "I won't change my name or surname; I am called Luban. And yes, this wheelchair is indeed mine, but I call it the Divine Mobility Chair."
"Luban? Haha!" Zhao Yang laughed heartily; it was too coincidental. In his original world, the ancestor of carpenters was also named Luban, who invented various construction tools and was praised by later generations. "From now on, learn how to make Dao Artifacts from my senior brother. When the time comes for me to build a house, I want to design a flying city."
"Zhao Yang, what on earth are you doing?" Datong Zen Master had endured long enough; he couldn't believe that at such a critical moment, this kid was still causing trouble.
"Master may not know this, but among those present here, aside from the Youxian Saint Child and this Luban fellow, everyone else is already dead. You're right; it must be the original Overlord Saint Child Yuan Lie hiding in the distance using secret methods to control these people," Zhao Yang said as he glanced at the calm-faced Yin Yang Wanderer. "What do you think, Yin Yang Wanderer?"
The Yin Yang Wanderer said coldly, "I don't know what you're talking about. If Xuanfo Temple treats me this way regarding You Xian Sect, then we will leave."
"Want to leave? Is it that easy? I think your Divine Sense hasn't dissipated yet, and you've already been controlled by Yuan Lie. That's why you still have life energy. Seven Demon Generals from the Tribulation Period have surrounded the long-fallen You Xian Sect. How could you, a Master at the Great Ascension stage, possibly escape? This is already the biggest question. Furthermore, you underestimate my Divine Sense; your hostility is too strong, and the fluctuations in your thoughts aren't just from one person. I can easily detect them. Moreover, if I'm not mistaken, this Youxian Saint Child should be your son, right?"
"How do you know!" The Yin Yang Wanderer widened his eyes. This secret had been hidden for twenty years; everyone who knew had already died. You Xian Sect originally had many great secrets, but after the world fell into chaos, countless great mysteries and Extraordinary Persons emerged, making the secrets of You Xian Sect seem trivial.
"You’re talking nonsense!" The Youxian Saint Child shouted at Zhao Yang while lying on the ground.
Zhao Yang smiled slightly and looked at the Youxian Saint Child. "Back when my Divine Sense first awakened and I gained the ability to read countless volumes, I took a tour of your You Xian Sect. Who would have thought I would find notes hidden in a corner of your sect's library? It recorded what your beastly father did to seek a child. You have no less than a hundred siblings, yet only you survived because your father sought to have powerful descendants and copulated with hundreds of women to produce a hundred children. Among them, you had the highest potential, which is why you survived while the others were turned into pills for you to consume. But your mother was killed by your father twenty years ago. I bet Yin Yang Wanderer doesn’t even know which woman you were born from."
The Youxian Saint Child was agitated and looked deranged; he clearly believed it. He shouted, "Stop saying that!"
Since childhood, the Youxian Saint Child had never known who his parents were. He was treated like a Holy Son from birth, with endless resources for cultivation and unmatched among his peers. If Zhao Yang hadn't injured him, he would likely be at the Nascent Soul Stage or Dao Fruit Stage by now!
"You can't be so sure it's true based on just some notes!" the Youxian Saint Child yelled.
"Isn't one set of notes enough? How many of the original Ten Elders of You Xian Sect are left? Any sect's Holy Son will be replaced upon death, yet you are exceptionally cared for. In a world where strength is paramount, isn’t that strange?" Zhao Yang explained. "Yin Yang Wanderer—your father went to great lengths to heal you, spending most of You Xian Sect's cultivation resources and drawing resentment from his disciples. His hatred for me has only grown; a man who barely has any yin or yang finally has a genius son but finds himself crippled by me—of course he hates me! But does he think he can kill me? Ha! Can he take me on one-on-one? After your sect's Wandering Fairy, there hasn’t been another unparalleled master in You Xian Sect. I boasted that I would kill you and even used Chaos True Qi to invade your meridians to ensure your death; who would have thought you'd survive? If it weren't for the Five Great Sects facing unprecedented calamity right now, you wouldn't even qualify to know the truth."
"I'll kill you!" The Youxian Saint Child roared as he lunged at Zhao Yang with both hands like a spirit rabbit, a Dao Artifact appearing in his grasp.
Thud!
Song Baliang stepped on the Youxian Saint Child, crushing his head beneath his foot. The disciples of You Xian Sect saw this and their eyes glowed red as they charged at Zhao Yang together.
Zhao Yang countered with a palm strike aimed behind him; with a loud bang, he was sent flying back several dozen feet before rolling onto the ground. At that moment, Yin Yang Wanderer appeared, filled with rage and wishing nothing more than to swallow Zhao Yang alive.
"Return my son!"
"Master Shishu! Why aren’t you making a move?" Zhao Yang looked at Datong and the other three Divine Monks with some reproach; he had already spoken so boldly yet no one came to protect him.
"He wants to kill you? Ha!" Datong Zen Master mimicked Zhao Yang's tone, thinking that Zhao Yang's bravado was a bit excessive and letting him suffer a little was only fair.
"He wants to kill you? Ha! He can't even take you on one-on-one!" The other three Divine Monks laughed heartily, mimicking Zhao Yang's tone as they magically conjured a few chairs and sat down to watch the show. "Come on, all of you, let's see what you've got. We already received word from the host about this old fellow being controlled by Divine Sense. He's at the Great Ascension stage; whether you can take us on is another matter," the Great Compassion Zen Master explained with a benevolent smile. "Great Suffering, your big head is blocking my view; move over a bit."
Despite the dire situation, the Divine Monks continued to watch with amusement. It must be said that their mental fortitude was impressive. Ultimately, the group of You Xian Sect disciples controlled by Yuan Lie was completely wiped out, and Yin Yang Wanderer also fell victim to the siege led by Zhao Yang and Long Xiao Wu. They were all capable of battling opponents a level above themselves; even if there was a tenfold difference in strength, sheer numbers were on their side. Moreover, they possessed Divine Power and Dao Artifacts, making it impossible for Yin Yang Wanderer to withstand their assault.
However, Yin Yang Wanderer was the leader of You Xian Sect, naturally skilled in multiple secret arts. Zhao Yang intentionally refrained from using the Transform into Sheep Technique to hone his own skills. Although this person was not as powerful as the Sword Saint, he was still beyond Zhao Yang's capability to handle directly due to their theoretical hundredfold difference in strength—Zhao Yang at the Nascent Soul Stage versus his opponent at the Great Ascension stage. The Great Ascension stage represented a peak where both body and Cultivation Method had reached the limits of one's innate potential, just a step away from entering the coveted yet feared Tribulation Period.
Yet no matter how strong Yin Yang Wanderer was, he could not withstand the relentless bombardment from numerous Divine Powers and Supreme Dao Artifacts. It could be said that he died half from being crushed by Dao Artifacts and half from sheer frustration. The Sixteen Supreme Killing Swords trapped him within a sword formation from which he could not escape, while others surrounded the formation, bombarding him with treasures and Dao Artifacts—much like zoo visitors throwing banana peels at monkeys.
After Yin Yang Wanderer's death, Zhao Yang soared into the night sky, scanning the area with his Martial Arts Heavenly Eye for miles around. His Divine Sense extended for tens of thousands of feet but ultimately failed to locate Yuan Lie.
This crisis left Zhao Yang feeling uneasy about Yuan Lie's development. If things continued this way, Yuan Lie would become one of the few individuals possessing god-like abilities that could disrupt the rules of the Cultivation world and cause great chaos. He was even more concerned that some weak-willed individuals around him might fall under Yuan Lie's control and manipulation.
Thus, after Yin Yang Wanderer's demise, Zhao Yang discussed matters with the Four Great Monks and decided to hold a sermon the next day to discuss how to quickly establish foundational methods for Divine Sense defense and attack so that everyone could remain vigilant.
The young man named Luban received half a Holy Medicine from Zhao Yang, which drew envy and resentment from many.
Zhao Yang instructed him to begin learning how to refine Dao Artifacts from Song Baliang's school while also imparting his architectural concepts. Initially, Luban thought Zhao Yang was joking with him; however, when Zhao Yang spoke about architectural designs and data with greater expertise than Luban had acquired over more than a decade of study, he was greatly astonished and began to take things seriously. Feeling grateful for this renowned genius's attention toward him, he initially contemplated revenge since You Xian Sect was his sect. However, thinking about his future, his life, and what he cherished led him to shed his hatred.
He understood that in this world, few could earn Zhao Yang's regard; even Holy Son-level experts seemed insignificant in Zhao Yang's eyes—he could kill them at will. Even older generations were not spared from his disdain. Yet here he was being trusted and valued by Zhao Yang—not quite in terms of heavy reliance yet but more like cultivation for potential future use because Zhao Yang mentioned that it might be years or even centuries before he would need Luban's skills—or perhaps he might never have the chance at all.
What Zhao Yang asked him to design was called an Imperial Palace.
