Upon hearing Zhao Yang's words, Bai Xi snorted and said, "If we could touch the realm of time to slow him down, what would we need you for?"
Zhao Yang chuckled at Bai Xi's remark and replied, "You don't understand, my Princess Bai Xi. Even if someone can touch the realm of time, when time slows down, a person's thoughts and actions also slow down relative to it. So not everyone can react in time."
"Are you implying that you can react in time? That your mind is quicker than ours?" Bai Xi retorted sharply.
Zhao Yang shook his head, noticing the fierce look on Bai Xi's face. "I knew this explanation would upset some people, but I'm just stating the truth. Let me give you a simple example: if we both extend our hands with fingers spread apart, one hand opens from thumb to pinky while the other opens from pinky to thumb. The movements of both hands must be opposite yet synchronized in timing."
As he spoke, Zhao Yang began demonstrating his point. This was merely a simple example for clarity, not an attempt to show off his skills.
In reality, it was also Zhao Yang's first time attempting this. He knew that many magicians in his past life could manipulate their fingers almost at will after years of practice. However, if he succeeded on his first try, it would mean his thinking was unlike anyone else's.

Zhao Yang shook his head; there was no arguing with her about this. He turned to the side where the Demon Empress stood.
After a moment of contemplation, the Demon Empress said, "If we can't break the formation, what will happen? Will A Qing be in danger?"
The Demon Empress was worried about A Qing; the more critical the moment became, the more anxious she felt. However, Zhao Yang didn't blame her; instead, he understood her concern.
"I don't know," Zhao Yang admitted. "I can't be sure. But if I fail, I might be torn apart by such strong rotational forces. However, I believe that Azure Phoenix within the formation should be fine; he remains relatively stationary at the center and won't be greatly affected."
"But if you die, where will I find someone like you again?" the Demon Empress replied.
A hint of pride appeared on Zhao Yang's face as he said, "Hey, I'm not boasting; there really aren't many people like me left in this world!"
"Stop being so vain!" Bai Xi scolded playfully. She hadn't expected Zhao Yang to be so thick-skinned; in just one day, he had become so close to them. She couldn't help but see him in a new light and complimented him: "Truly worthy of being a servant of the divine."
Upon hearing Bai Xi praise him like that, Zhao Yang immediately feigned displeasure and weakly asked, "Is that how you compliment someone?"
Bai Xi was amused by Zhao Yang's humor and antics. She wasn't typically one to laugh; being the only daughter of the Demon Empress had made her serious from a young age. Having cultivated into human form after just three hundred years in this world—making her one of the earliest beings among her kind to do so—her formidable abilities left her without friends among her peers. More accurately, she had no boyfriends.
Having grown up alongside the taciturn Demon Empress, she had never encountered such a witty and humorous man before. As she glanced at Zhao Yang again, a flicker of admiration stirred within her heart.
"Cough, cough." The Demon Empress watched from the side. He wasn't a fool; he had done similar things in his youth. However, the one before him was his precious daughter. Although this young man had decent talent and potential for the future, his character seemed to leave much to be desired.
"I advise you not to have any designs on Bai Xi, or I will kill you," the Demon Empress threatened directly through telepathy.
Upon hearing the Demon Empress's words, Zhao Yang shot a glare at Bai Xi beside him and huffed, "Hmph!"
"What? What's wrong?" Bai Xi was confused by Zhao Yang's sudden outburst, unable to grasp the situation.
However, when she glanced at the Demon Empress's expression, she realized it must be her father's doing. Anger surged within her as she also huffed heavily at the Demon Empress.
At that moment, Zhao Yang suddenly vanished from her side.
The Demon Empress was taken aback; he hadn't expected the young man to have such boldness, jumping right in without hesitation.
Zhao Yang appeared directly inside the final layer of Dreamland Manor.
Bai Xi was overjoyed, and the Demon Empress smiled with relief. Since Zhao Yang could jump in, bringing Azure Phoenix out should be no problem.
However, Azure Phoenix was startled by the sudden appearance of the young man before her and let out a warning cry. She then shot out several feathered arrows. Zhao Yang dodged swiftly, but avoiding such small attacks indefinitely was not a viable strategy.
"A Qing, calm down and listen to me," the Demon Empress said gently, his voice warm as he looked at Azure Phoenix with deep affection.
Hearing his voice, Azure Phoenix turned to look at the Demon Empress outside the formation and let out two long cries before quickly settling down.
Zhao Yang attempted to grab hold of the massive Azure Phoenix, but tragedy struck; her size was too great. He could barely reach her heel and had no way to carry her away.
Zhao Yang forced an awkward smile and said, "Azure Phoenix Aunt? Could you shrink your body a bit?"
But all he received in response was silence; Azure Phoenix elegantly ignored him.
Outside the formation, the Demon Empress said, "A Qing doesn't have the magical power to transform into human form yet and is still quite naive about shapeshifting. See if you can resolve the formation."
Zhao Yang shook his head; that approach wouldn't work at all. Although he had a way to save Azure Phoenix now, her oversized body made it impossible to carry her away. This left him feeling somewhat helpless.
However, a brilliant idea suddenly struck Zhao Yang. He pulled out his long-preserved Cosmic Bag and said, "Azure Phoenix Aunt, come into the bag quickly."
The Cosmic Bag emitted a dazzling light, and with a sudden cry of despair, the Azure Phoenix was forcibly drawn into the Cosmic Bag by Zhao Yang.
Zhao Yang lifted the bag and vanished in a flash from the sight of the Demon Empress and Bai Xi.
"I finally rescued my mother!" Bai Xi exclaimed joyfully, tears streaming down his face. Ever since he was little, he had wished for a complete family and to have his mother by his side. Now, that wish had finally come true.
But after crying for a long time, Bai Xi still couldn't see Zhao Yang anywhere.
Finally, Zhao Yang came jumping down from a nearby cliff, laughing as he released the Azure Phoenix.
At that moment, the Demon Empress radiated golden light and directed a stream of brilliance into the Azure Phoenix's Sea of Consciousness. Suddenly, the Azure Phoenix's eyes cleared up, sparkling like a gem. It flapped its wings and soared into the sky, circling twice before letting out a phoenix cry. Its feathers were abundant and beautiful, shimmering blue like the sky, with two exceptionally stunning tail feathers.
Moments later, the Azure Phoenix landed on the Demon Empress's shoulder and suddenly spoke human words: "Thank you, young one."
This was because the Demon Empress had used secret techniques to transfer memories to the Azure Phoenix, allowing it not only to recall certain things but also to speak.
Meanwhile, in the distance, several beams of light approached rapidly. The newcomers looked hurried, as if they were in urgent need.
"Reporting to you, Demon Empress," one of them knelt down and said. "There has been unusual activity at the Heavenly Tree; it appears as if a river of stars is pouring down, with radiant clouds flying everywhere. It seems that an immortal is about to ascend during the day."
