At the Mount Tai Fengshan Platform, Li Fugui and Nangong were at odds from the moment they opened their mouths. Nangong stood with his hands behind his back on the Altar of Sacrifice, looking down at Li Fugui, while the Sun Refining Cauldron floated behind him, surrounded by nine dragons. 0

Li Fugui was unfazed by Nangong's insult; instead, he chuckled and said, "Nangong Master, your temper is as fiery as ever. I'm not here to fight you; I just came to deliver a message. Mr. Yu wants to see you." 0

Nangong scoffed, his face showing disdain. "A mere mortal? I don't know where he gets the courage to issue orders to me. I, Nangong, have no interest in collaborating with military personnel." 0

"Whether you cooperate or not is up to you," Li Fugui replied. "I’ve delivered my message. Mr. Yu knows that you've been seeking the secret of longevity for many years. After all, you are already in your nineties. You won't get the Book of Life and Death; at most, you'll live another ten years. Mr. Yu knows some methods for extending life that might interest you." 0

Nangong shot a sideways glance at Li Fugui. "Do you think I would believe his nonsense?" 0

"Believe it or not, if you want to meet Mr. Yu, go to the Supervisory National Government in the capital; he is always waiting for you. Farewell." With that, Li Fugui turned and walked away. 0

Nangong squinted, his right hand enveloped in purple flames. He hesitated but ultimately did not strike, watching Li Fugui's retreating figure with a look of uncertainty. 0

"I thought Huzi's grandfather would get into a fight with that old bastard so I could take the Sun Refining Cauldron while they were distracted. Looks like I'll have to do it myself; what a hassle." Wu instructed Douding not to move recklessly and quietly approached the Altar of Sacrifice while concealing his presence, peeking out from behind the steps behind Nangong. 0

Wu placed his hands on the Altar of Sacrifice, preparing to snatch the Sun Refining Cauldron at the moment he could use a Yin-Yang Binding Array to trap Nangong for a brief moment before fleeing down the mountain with Douding on a Qiongqi. However, when Wu lifted his head, he found Nangong's feet directly facing him. 0

Looking up at Nangong, Wu awkwardly smiled and said, "Up so early? Have you eaten yet?" 0

Nangong kicked towards Wu, who raised his hands to block and was sent flying backward. 0

Nangong said, "Thief! Seeing so many dead on this Altar of Sacrifice and you still want to lay your hands on the Sun Refining Cauldron? You really have no fear of death." 0

Wu chuckled and replied, "Fear of death doesn't suit my character. Seeking death is my life philosophy, Nangong Old Bastard! Others may fear you, but I do not. Just lend me that big pot behind you that heats itself; I'll return it once I've had my fun." 0

Nangong stopped sparring verbally with Wu and immediately unleashed the True Fire of Taiyi with a palm strike. The fierce flames blazed intensely, turning the entire peak of Mount Tai red hot. 0

Wu shouted, "Douding, let's go!" 0

"Let's see where you think you're going!" Nangong shouted as he chased down from the Altar of Sacrifice, his arms outstretched. The surrounding bushes ignited in flames as Nangong unleashed fiery serpents towards Wu. Terrified of being burned by the True Fire of Taiyi, Wu activated the Yin-Yang Escape Technique and appeared halfway up the mountain, just in time to see Qiongqi lying still in the grass. 0

"Big Cat, where's Douding?" Wu assumed Douding had already come down, but at that moment, Douding had yet to arrive. 0

"I'm right here!" Douding called out, running down the mountain with the Sun Refining Cauldron hoisted over his shoulder. 0

Wu was astonished, not knowing when Douding had become so strong. He saw Douding sprinting towards him, struggling under the weight of the Cauldron, with a raging fire hot on his heels. 0

Seeing Nangong stop atop a tree engulfed in flames, Wu noticed him smirking as he began to perform Daoist Arts. 0

Suddenly, the Sun Refining Cauldron atop Douding's head turned red, its inscriptions shifting. "Throw away the Cauldron! It's dangerous!" Wu shouted. 0

Upon hearing this, Douding tossed the Sun Refining Cauldron away into the distance. As it flew, nine dragons swirled around it, flames bursting forth and instantly incinerating everything around into ashes. Douding was startled and quickly jumped down the mountain. 0

Qiongqi roared and positioned itself in front of them, baring its fangs and claws to attack Nangong. "Big Cat, I'm fine! Let's get out of here!" Douding urged. 0

We jumped onto Qiongqi's back as it charged down the mountain before taking flight. 0

Nangong snorted softly. With a hand gesture for an Incantation, the Sun Refining Cauldron spun up behind him, swallowing the flames burning at the peak of Mount Tai. Soon after, calm returned as wisps of blue smoke rose from the charred earth. 0

Once everyone had left, Nangong remained seated on the Altar of Sacrifice, gathering the essence of sun and moon along with the energy of Earth Emperor to forge himself anew. The Sun Refining Cauldron hovered above his head, continuously supplying him with fiery spiritual power. 0

In a cave several miles away from the Altar of Sacrifice, Yu Youya flew in and surveyed the devastation on Mount Tai. "Master, your power is just one step away from Supreme. What you need is enlightenment; this constant training day and night is not a solution." 0

Nangong did not open his eyes. "I have mastered the Sun Refining Technique; I just lack timing. If I slack off now, how can I take revenge for my sect's destruction and my child's death? I will settle accounts with Yang Hao." 0

That day, Nangong led all members of Serpent Cult to attack Emei. During their retreat, they were suddenly ambushed; everyone was inexplicably killed by a mysterious force before they could escape. Since that battle, Serpent Cult has been in decline, left with only a few elders who later clashed with people from Leiyin Temple in Dunhuang Desert. The awakened Zen Bodhisattva annihilated them all until only he and Yu Youya remained. 0

"However, the sect leader's body may not withstand such torment. You are getting older, and your health is not what it used to be. The flames of the Sun Refining Cauldron are fueled by the resentment of the Ancient Fierce Beast, the Golden Crow. Prolonged exposure can cloud your mind and easily lead you astray. As they say, a gentleman takes his time to seek revenge; there is no need for you to rush," Yu Youya advised. 0

Nangong Dao replied, "Yu Xuanliang wants to see me. I wonder what it is about. Please go to the Supervisory National Government in the imperial capital and discuss it with him." 0

"Yu Xuanliang? Is he the mastermind behind the military?" Nangong asked. 0

"Indeed, Yu Xuanliang has controlled the military for many years. When that old man was alive, he had dealings with me. Although he is a mortal, he must possess something extraordinary. He knows the secret of immortality and likely wishes to discuss terms with me," Nangong Dao explained. 0

"Understood," Yu Youya said. "However, the fluctuations of your Dao Qi are mixed with a hint of violence. I urge you to rest for a few days and eat something; your health is paramount. Otherwise..." 0

"Get lost," Nangong said with just a single word. He then continued to circulate his Spirit Energy, pushing toward the Supreme Realm. 0

Yu Youya shook his head, glanced at Nangong who was immersed in his cultivation, and turned to descend Mount Tai. 0

Two days later, in the distance between Mountain Valley, Song Qianqiu commanded a large number of Corpse Demons to carry out an ancient-looking Big Red Coffin from an Ancient Cave within Mountain Valley. The Ghost King beside him said, "Master, these are all recorded experts from the Underworld. In their lifetimes, they were all masters of the Mahayana Realm. Their Three Souls and Seven Spirits have dissipated, their Dao Bodies have vanished; only their Remnant Souls have returned to the Underworld and been recorded on shore. After the chaos in the Underworld, only this list remains." 0

Song Qianqiu nodded, gazing at the Big Red Coffin being transported by numerous Corpse Demons while reciting the Demon King's Scripture. Ghostly Energy spread out, eroding the coffin. After a moment, Song Qianqiu's complexion turned pale, feeling somewhat weak as the runes on his body faded. 0

The coffin lid cracked open, and withered arms reached out from within. These individuals wore tattered ancient Daoist robes; their faces were sunken and their bodies shriveled, appearing severely dehydrated. 0

Song Qianqiu frowned and said, "These people must have either suffered severe injuries or their bodies have gradually withered after death; they rely solely on their Dao bones for support. At most, they could recover to the Dao Fruit Realm, which is of little use to me." 0

The Ghost King asked, "Should we eliminate these useless beings?" 0

"Ah? Even useless beings have their value. Though they are not as good as Miaojiang Grand Shaman's warriors, if placed among mortals and fed enough vitality, they could still serve as a formidable force," Song Qianqiu replied. 0

Just as Song Qianqiu finished speaking, he noticed a shadow reflected beneath his feet. He looked up to see an elderly man dressed in black combat attire appearing on the mountaintop. Behind him followed several similarly armed youths—none other than Li Fugui leading a large group of War Kings approaching. 0

"Song Qianqiu looked at Li Fugui and said, 'I feel like I've seen you somewhere before, but it's been so long that I've forgotten.' 0

Li Fugui replied, 'Song Qianqiu, I come today with a warning from Mr. Yu. You can kill members of the Daoist Sect, but do not touch the ordinary people of this world. Your actions have already reached Mr. Yu's ears, and he is greatly enraged.' 0

'Greatly enraged?' Song Qianqiu repeated Li Fugui's words, seemingly finding it amusing. 'How can I not feel like I'm hearing a joke? You mere mortals dare to act so brazenly in front of me, and neither of us even knows who the other truly is. Let alone this so-called Mr. Yu!' 0

Li Fugui continued, 'Mr. Yu is the one residing in the Supervisory National Government, the one who instigated the Dark Turmoil years ago, causing great suffering among the people. He does not wish for you to provoke a war between the military and the Daoist Sect.' 0

'This is getting more ridiculous by the moment; I think you're just a dog!' Song Qianqiu declared. 'Since you've come here, don't expect to leave alive. I will ensure that you martial arts experts return to the Supervisory National Government in another state.' 0

A wicked smile crept across Song Qianqiu's face as he signaled the Ghost King to execute them all. 0

The Ghost King nodded, brandishing his Great Halberd and roaring as he swung it down fiercely. 0

The Great Halberd transformed into a massive red dragon that slashed through the air. Li Fugui frowned and, along with the other War Kings, hurriedly retreated in both directions. 0

The mountains were instantly cleaved apart, shaking violently as dust and debris filled the air. 0

Such a commotion was on an entirely different level for the War Kings, who only knew martial prowess without understanding deeper principles. Suddenly, amidst the dust clouds, countless bullets shot out like a shuttle, turning the Yin Soldier Corpse Ghosts and a large number of recently revived Dried Corpses within Mountain Valley into sieves, their skulls shattered. 0

The Ghost King unleashed powerful Ghostly Energy to protect Song Qianqiu; bullets froze mid-air and were sent back by a punch from the Ghost King. 0

Song Qianqiu said, 'I just used the Demon King's Scripture and expended quite a bit of Dao Qi. You hold on for a moment; I am summoning Miao Guanyin and her group back.' 0

The Ghost King nodded and gripped his Great Halberd, sweeping it across Mountain Valley as surrounding mountains crumbled. The War Kings soared into the air, suspended by steel wires while holding sharp blades and carrying bows and crossbows on their backs. 0

One War King landed and dashed towards the Ghost King like a cheetah. The Ghost King snorted and threw a punch. However, to his disbelief, this War King easily dodged it, twisting in mid-air to appear behind him and plunging a blade into the Ghost King's body." 0

The Ghost King’s body was incredibly resilient, nearly impervious to blades and bullets. Yet at this moment, the War King's weapon pierced his skin, emitting a hissing sound as it burned through his flesh. 0

The Ghost King roared in fury, reaching for the back of his neck where a wet, foul-smelling blood flowed out. He exclaimed, "These people's blades bear Fugui's spiritual patterns!" 0

A century ago, during the Dark Turmoil, the Daoist Sect had fought a great battle against the military. Although the Daoist Sect emerged victorious, they paid a heavy price. The military's ability to contend with the Daoist Sect was not only due to their numbers and advanced weaponry but also because they had mastered methods to hunt down members of the Daoist Sect. The weapons they designed posed a significant threat to the experts of the Daoist Sect, especially against the Ghost King, who was infused with Ghostly Energy. 0

The Ghost King wielded a Great Halberd and swung it at the War King who had injured him. The War King stood still, his steel wires vibrating. Suddenly, he pulled back, creating distance between them. Immediately after, countless claws surged forth from all directions, piercing into the Ghost King's skin. 0

As the dust settled, the Mountain Valley was filled with War Kings armed with crossbows and connected by steel wires. They suddenly yanked the Ghost King upwards. The Ghost King's body was battered and struggling proved futile. He swung his Great Halberd but realized that his Ghostly Energy was ineffective as it was continuously absorbed by the claws. Soon, his momentum began to wane. 0

Li Fugui brandished a Black Spear and thrust it through the Ghost King's heart. The Ghost King let out a terrible scream as his heart shattered, veins bulging in anger on his face. Li Fugui’s hand gathered dark energy as runes swirled around it, covering each knuckle. He then unleashed a powerful punch towards the Ghost King's head, seemingly on the verge of crushing it when a curtain of void water appeared before the Ghost King. 0

As the Black Spear passed through this curtain of void water, its speed slowed to a crawl. Song Qianqiu rose to his feet, his pupils glowing red. Li Fugui clutched his head and groaned as he was sent staggering back by Song Qianqiu's punch. 0

Behind Li Fugui, another War King’s eyes also turned red as he stabbed through Li Fugui's body with a blade. 0
