To the north of Ancheng, Qingliang Mountain had finally become a desolate place amidst eternal bleakness. The dilapidated ancient temple, the long-neglected stone steps, the still-clear lotus pond, and the deserted village all painted a picture of abandonment.
Douding stood on the Daoist platform of Qingliang Temple, gazing at the desolate land beneath him, reminiscing about the days spent playing with his senior brothers.
West of Qingliang Mountain lay a rice field belonging to Qingliang Temple. In the past, during busy farming seasons, his senior brothers would gather to plant rice. Only he, being the youngest, was spared from working in the fields. Sometimes, when the eldest brother, Chang Liulang, saw him alone in the temple with no one to play with, he would carry him to the fields, ensuring he didn’t step into muddy water or filth.
Douding and Yunxi glided down from the cliff on the back mountain of Qingliang Mountain. They landed beside Elder Changxi's grave. Douding knelt before Chang Xi and bowed his head, saying, "Grandmaster, Douding has come to pay his respects again. Now that Master and my senior brothers are gone, I wish to inherit the teachings of Qingliang Temple to save my brother. Please do not blame Douding."
Yunxi also spoke up, "Elder Changxi, I apologize for any offense."
Yunxi began to channel an incantation, causing the grave to crumble and reveal an iron box inside. She opened the box to find a blue manuscript protected by a powerful array of Daoist symbols. As she flipped through it, she discovered it contained various methods of sealing.
"We should head back," Yunxi said as she waved her hand to fill in the grave.
Douding nodded and mounted Qiongqi with Yunxi to return along their original path. Halfway through their journey, Douding suddenly exclaimed, "Sister Yunxi, there are disciples from Leiyin Temple below; I can sense the fluctuations of Buddhist power."
Douding's Zen Bodhisattva awakened within him, granting him a strong sensitivity to Buddhist energy. If anyone from the Buddhist Sect nearby used their powers, he could easily detect it.
Yunxi listened intently. She patted Qiongqi’s back to signal it to descend. In a valley among the mountains, two disciples were surrounded by Yin Soldiers. They were battered and bruised, their injuries horrific and life-threatening.
Qiongqi roared and flapped its powerful wings, sending hundreds of Yin Soldiers flying. Yunxi stirred Tai Xu Ling; it unfurled like a dragon and swiftly dispatched all the Yin Soldiers in an instant.
One disciple from Leiyin Temple had been pierced through the heart. As he looked up at Douding descending from above, a hint of relief crossed his face before he breathed his last.
The other disciple was also gravely injured; multiple spear wounds from Yin Soldiers riddled his body with blood holes. Douding asked, "Brother, how did you end up here?"
The disciple replied weakly, "Two months ago we were sent on a mission by our Sect. We didn't expect that when we returned, Leiyin Temple would be gone. So my brother and I crossed Shu Mountain intending to head towards the central cities but found ourselves besieged by Yin Soldiers along the way."
The disciple finished speaking, spitting out blood, his breath faint. Douding anxiously asked, "How could so many experts from Leiyin Temple be defeated by the Three Divine Monks? What about the Sky Master and the Master?"
The disciple's body convulsed, his hands and feet cold. Yunxi channeled her Dao Qi into him to investigate, discovering that his internal organs were shattered and he had exhausted all his strength. The fact that he had held on until now was already a miracle. Yunxi shook her head at Douding, whose face turned pale. She closed the eyes of the two disciples and buried them on the mountain.
Douding felt increasingly lost. He glanced at Yunxi and said, "Sister Yunxi, you should go back and save Brother Yang Hao. I need to make a trip to Leiyin Temple."
Yunxi frowned slightly and replied, "Send the Book of Sealing to Red Maple Valley first; I'll accompany you. It's five thousand miles to Leiyin Temple; it will be dangerous for you to go alone."

Yunxi nodded in agreement and took off her Tai Xu Ling. Douding shook his head again, saying, "Tai Xu Ling belongs to you; I can ride Big Cat there."
Hearing Douding's words, Qiongqi crawled beside him. Douding mounted Qiongqi, who let out a low roar and spread its massive wings, soaring into the sky.
Yunxi did not linger; Tai Xu Ling floated around her as she flew towards Jiangnan.
Douding quietly looked back at Yunxi's receding red figure. Lying on Qiongqi's back, he murmured, "Big Cat, why does everyone related to me suffer such misfortune?"
At midnight, under the bright moonlight, red clouds rolled over Red Maple Valley as Yunxi descended surrounded by Tai Xu Ling.
"Yunxi, you're back!" Huzi exclaimed upon seeing Yunxi return, immediately waking everyone who had fallen asleep.
Yunxi handed over the sealing technique to Guo Daozhen. As Guo Daozhen examined the pages of formations, he found one concerning sealing external objects within the body. Frowning, he said, "The formation seems simple at first glance but is actually quite treacherous and variable. Especially with formations inside the flesh; a single miscarved line could lead to acupoint failure. I'm afraid I can't manage this alone."
Sword Elder remarked, "I am well-versed in sword techniques but have little knowledge of formations. If you have a good plan, Old Man will certainly do his best."
Guo Daozhen nodded and said, "With Eastern Senior as the strongest Guardian, protecting Yang Hao's heart and Nascent Soul from shattering, I, along with Zhou Manman, Yunxi, and Dongfang Yuqing, will each hold a Dao Order to perform the sealing."
Everyone nodded. Guo Daozhen transmitted the incantation and key points of the sealing technique to them. Then they positioned themselves in four directions, surrounding me in the center. Sword Elder formed an Incantation with his hands and summoned a powerful protective Dao pattern into my body to safeguard my shattered Nascent Soul and Heart.
The four of them followed Guo Daozhen's instructions, each forming different Dao Orders in succession, sealing a Talisman onto my limbs and body. Patterns began to form. Then Zhou Manman took out the Book of Life and Death, which dimmed the surroundings. The Book trembled as if sensing the sealing power and resisted.
Guo Daozhen moved his right hand, drawing a thread of golden Dao Body energy from his brow to guide the Book of Life and Death. The Book was enveloped in golden Dao Body energy and slowly sank into my abdomen.
Suddenly, my hands and feet convulsed, pain coursing through my entire body as cold sweat dripped down my face.
Veins burst forth from beneath my skin, blood instantly staining my clothes and the bed. Sword Elder frowned and asked, "What’s happening? The Dao Qi within him is going haywire, clashing with the aura of the Book of Life and Death."
Guo Daozhen looked puzzled as well. "The Book of Life and Death has been interdependent with Yang Hao for many years; I've never heard of any conflicting situation."
"Could it be that there’s something wrong with the formation?" Huzi said anxiously from the side.
Guo Daozhen shook his head. "There can’t be any mistakes. The only formation in the sealing book that seals external objects within is the Eternal Cycle Formation. This is clearly the formation used by Divine Hero and As the saying goes to seal the Book of Life and Death; how could it be mutually exclusive?"

Guo Huaiyi glanced at Huzi dismissively with a snort before stepping into the center of everyone. He chanted spells while forming an Incantation with his hands. A powerful wave of sinister energy suddenly erupted, knocking everyone back. Countless blood threads emerged from Guo Huaiyi's pores, forming intricate patterns that crawled across his neck and face like floral designs.
Dongfang Yuqing stood directly opposite Guo Huaiyi, frowning because at that moment, Guo Huaiyi's face was extremely sinister, covered in blood patterns resembling those of a demon.
Dongfang Yuqing asked, "Are you planning to seal the Book of Life and Death with the Ghost Gate Secret Technique?"
Guo Huaiyi replied, "The Ghost Gate Secret Technique doesn't have that kind of power. Guo Huaiyi began to sweat as the blood patterns faded. He said, "It should be working now, if..."

Guo Huaiyi snorted and pushed past Huzi at the door as he walked out.
