"This woman is truly insane. She won't know what it means to be humble unless she learns a lesson!" Li Chang'an said.
"Yushi Luo, it's no longer your concern. Come back with me!" Miao Shengnan stepped forward to grab Rain Master Luo.
Rain Master Luo pointed her sword at Miao Shengnan and said, "Master, you took me in and raised me, allowing me to practice my swordsmanship for over twenty years. You forbade me from leaving A Ray of Hope. I have only practiced my sword skills, and despite your beatings and scoldings, I never complained. Now that my swordsmanship has reached great heights, I want to choose my own path."
"What do you want to do?" Miao Shengnan was taken aback by Rain Master Luo's words.
Rain Master Luo declared, "If anyone dares to harm Yang Hao today, they will have to step over my dead body."
"Rebellious disciple, do you even know what you're saying?!" Miao Shengnan exclaimed.
"The first rule of the Daoist Sect: those who betray their masters and ancestors shall be killed without mercy. It seems there are traitors among Arched Eyebrows," Yang Xuanzong raised an eyebrow and remarked.
"Sister Master, as a member of one of the Five Major Sects, how can we allow other sects to stir up trouble? It's normal for there to be casualties in battle; those who can't afford to lose resort to intimidation. Don't let Arched Eyebrows lose face," the Emei Elder said solemnly.
"Alright!" Miao Shengnan replied. She turned to Rain Master Luo and said, "Since you insist on this, I will expel you from the Sect today. From now on, Rain Master Luo has nothing to do with Arched Eyebrows. Do as you please!"
"Miao Master, are you really willing to do this?" Sword Sect Master Dongfang Jiu asked. "Your female disciple seems mediocre at best, yet she has mastered One Sword Technique. In the future, she could hold a position like ours. While you're afraid of the Yang Family, I'm not. Rain Master Luo, if you come under my tutelage now, I will make you the top disciple of Sword Pavilion and teach you the strongest sword techniques."
Hearing this, Rain Master Luo glanced at Dongfang Jiu dismissively. "You are not qualified."
Her words caused an uproar among the crowd. Many Elders and sect leaders were astonished; Serpent Cult and Sword Pavilion had always valued talent highly. The Sword Sect Master had risked offending the Yang Family by extending an olive branch to Rain Master Luo, only for her to reject it?!
"Heh heh, it seems she looks down on Sword Pavilion. What a waste of Dongfang's good intentions," Yang Xuanzong commented.
Dongfang Jiu's expression turned awkward as he snorted in response. Yang Xuanzong then said, "Since this Emei Disciple has been expelled from the Sect, kill her!"
"Yes!" the three Elders Yang responded in unison, leaping onto Wuzhang Rock.
"Senior Sister Yu, you should leave. It's not worth it for me," I said.
Rain Master Luo held his sword, looking at the three Elders Yang, while the Emei Disciple felt both anger and helplessness. This was the reality of oppression by power.
"This woman is not an ordinary person; you two brothers should be cautious," one of the Elders Yang warned. A layer of Vital Energy appeared around him as he brandished a black cane, thrusting it forward. Blood energy surged from the Black Cane, striking at Rain Master Luo.
Rain Master Luo did not dodge or evade, allowing the Elder Yang's Malicious Dao Techniques to enter his body. The Elder furrowed his brow and moved in close, clawing at Rain Master Luo like a hungry wolf. Rain Master Luo raised his sword, and the Elder let out a cry of agony, falling to the ground with his hands covering his eyes. The other two Elders transformed into gusts of cold wind and vanished from Wuzhang Rock. Rain Master Luo swung his sword into the air, and a scream echoed from the void as a corpse fell down. He then turned and sent out another strike with his sword, which quickly became stained with blood as the form of Elder Yang solidified, surprise evident in his eyes.
All three Elders Yang were at the Nascent Soul Realm, yet Rain Master Luo single-handedly wielded his sword without evading their Daoist Arts.
"What kind of strength does this girl possess that we cannot discern?" Nangong Dao remarked.
"At her age, she should be at most in the Nascent Soul Realm," someone else said.
"The Nascent Soul Realm is not limited to that. She hasn't even used her Dao Qi yet; no one can detect her Dao Qi fluctuations. Her sword strikes are purely Sword Technique without any sword energy, clearly looking down on the Yang Family's elders," Eastern Nine noted.
"Perhaps I should give it a try," suggested an elderly man with graying hair standing beside Yang Xuanzong. He wore ceremonial robes and was the High Priest among Yin Mountain's Yang Family's Nine Elders.
Yang Xuanzong stopped him and turned to Li Chang'an, saying, "High Priest, please hold on. Second brother, it's your turn."
Li Chang'an nodded, casting a cold gaze at Rain Master Luo. With a flick of his fingertip, a killing intent shot into Rain Master Luo's body. Rain Master Luo leaped forward and swept his sword horizontally. Li Chang'an leaned back, then delivered a heavy punch to Rain Master Luo's shoulder.
The sound of bones shattering echoed as Rain Master Luo frowned, the flowers of his sword trembling. Li Chang'an stepped back, losing a tuft of beard in the process.
Li Chang'an's expression darkened as he quietly channeled his Incantation. A wave of mysterious energy appeared in his hand, roaring like a wild dragon as it slashed toward Rain Master Luo. Her long sword trembled, scattering the incoming energy. With a sharp sound, a sword qi flew from her blade, causing the air to vibrate. Li Chang'an retreated, forming seals with his hands to redirect the incoming sword qi into the sky.
"Second Brother, why aren't you making a move?" Yang Xuanzong asked.
Li Chang'an replied, "This woman is unusual; she is at least in the Dao Fruit Realm!"
"The Dao Fruit Realm!" Everyone who heard this was incredulous. The strongest among the disciples of various sects was only at the Core Formation Stage, yet the Emei Female Disciple was at the Dao Fruit Realm. There was also the Nascent Soul Realm between the two stages, meaning that Rain Master Luo's power was a hundred times that of other disciples?
The sky darkened as clouds gathered, and Li Chang'an's Daoist Robe billowed without wind. He struck out with one palm, sending a massive gust of wind toward Rain Master Luo. She floated backward in her green attire, her lips cracked and bleeding, her hand trembling as it gripped her long sword.
Suddenly, silence fell; the sun and moon lost their light. The crowd felt a Sword Momentum surge forth, and several people fell silently. Others felt their faces tingle, fingers touching to find them stained with blood.
Li Chang'an was furious amidst the swirling clouds. Above Wuzhang Rock, a gigantic hand of light coalesced and struck toward Rain Master Luo. She moved her sword, retracting hundreds of indistinct phantoms back to her side.
Rain Master Luo was sent flying, several horrifying gashes suddenly appearing on her body, while Li Chang'an emitted a screeching sound before exploding into a mist of blood. He half-knelt on the ground.
"Second Brother!" Yang Xuanzong shouted with wide eyes.
Li Chang'an waved his hand to signal that he was fine. He touched the sword mark on his neck; his Dao Qi surged violently within him as he healed his wounds. As a master of the Mahayana Realm, he ranked among the top ten in today's Daoist Sects and stood equal to the leaders of various sects. Even the Divine Hero Couple could not easily deal with him; yet in this recent confrontation, he had nearly been killed.
And the one who had attacked him was merely a female disciple.
Li Chang'an remarked, "So it really is the Dao Fruit Realm. No wonder she has been kept hidden; Arched Eyebrows has truly produced remarkable talent. But in Old Man's view, One Sword Technique is nothing extraordinary!"
The elders of Arched Eyebrows turned to Miao Shengnan, who shook her head. No one knew how Rain Master Luo had unknowingly become a master of the Dao Fruit Realm, surpassing Elder of the Qingyun Sect and entering the ranks of Daoist Grandmasters.
As Li Chang'an completed his move, a golden light radiated from him. He flew towards Rain Master Luo, who combined her index and middle fingers of one hand while thrusting her sword with the other. The sword bent, yet Rain Master Luo did not retreat. Li Chang'an landed a punch on her abdomen, causing her sword to pierce his shoulder and sending him tumbling off the stage.
Below, Yang Xuanzong feared that Rain Master Luo would pursue the advantage. He struck her chest with his sleeve. Rain Master Luo looked at Yang Xuanzong, whose murderous intent was palpable, and frowned without dodging. She took the full force of Yang Xuanzong's Daoist Arts, staggering back a few steps as energy burst forth from behind her.
“Senior Sister Yu, why don’t you dodge?” I truly could not understand why Rain Master Luo chose such a head-on approach, nor could the others from the Daoist Sect.
A faint smile appeared at the corner of Rain Master Luo's mouth as she gathered the mixed Dao Qi within her body. She brushed her hand across the sword, causing blood light to swirl around it and revealing a layer of secret inscriptions. Turning back, she slashed at the massive chains binding me.
The chains shattered. Rain Master Luo supported me and said, “I’ll take you away.”
“How could the Binding Immortal Rope break?” some Elders from the Daoist Sect exclaimed in shock.
“No wonder this woman has been so stubborn about not dodging; this Binding Immortal Rope was forged by the Yinshan Yang Family, naturally containing their Dao Qi. She was collecting Yang Family’s Dao Qi to find an opportunity to break the restrictions within the Binding Immortal Rope and cut it!” Eastern Nine explained.
Members of the Yang Family all drew their swords, and many Elders attempted to ascend the stage. Yang Xuanzong chuckled and said, “Miss, I truly want to know why you are going through so much trouble to save this Yang Hao. As far as I know, he has only been in the Entrance to the Dao for a year, and you’ve only known him for a few days. Is it love at first sight?”
Rain Master Luo replied, “I simply cannot stand watching you old folks bully others under the guise of justice.”
As soon as Rain Master Luo finished speaking, Yang Xuanzong’s figure flickered and appeared before her. She swept her sword horizontally, but Yang Xuanzong flicked his sleeve, sending Rain Master Luo flying backward.
The high priest of the Yang Family emerged from behind Yang Xuanzong, his eyes radiating an intimidating light. Rain Master Luo clutched her head as pain filled her eyes with bloodshot veins; blood leaked from her ears. Gripping her sword tightly, she unleashed the Flower Sword Technique, creating a flurry of sword energy in midair. Blossoms of sword flowers erupted as screams filled the air; several Elders from the Yang Family lost their heads on the spot.
The light in the high priest's eyes faded as he retreated, losing a tuft of beard in the process. Yang Xuanzong concentrated Dao Qi in his right hand at Mount Hua Summit. The ground shook violently as a stream of Clear Light emerged from Wuzhang Rock, encircling Rain Master Luo in an attempt to suppress her.
Suddenly, Rain Master Luo transformed into hundreds of figures, breaking free from Yang Xuanzong's Daoist Arts. With me in tow, she aimed to escape towards the distant cliffs of Mount Hua, cutting down anyone who dared to obstruct us with a single stroke of her sword.
With a thunderous sound, a Dao Fire barrier blocked the way. Nangong Dao said, "You can't just leave like this."
The clouds parted, and a shining sword slashed down. Rain Master Luo's Dao Qi protected me, but the sword light struck beside us. Eastern Nine Smiles, with a glimmering face, said, "If you run away, what will happen to you?"
Rain Master Luo knelt on the ground. She gripped her sword, gathering Sword Momentum as everyone stepped back, fearing they would be struck by the One Sword Technique. Ke Yu Shi Luo spat out a mouthful of blood; she could no longer use her killing moves due to her severe injuries.
"Yushi Luo, you should leave quickly. You can't defeat them!" I urged.
The Emei Disciple was filled with grief and anger, scolding the Serpent Cult and Sword Pavilion members, while Emei Sect Leader Miao Shengnan could only helplessly close her eyes.
Several Flying Swords flew toward Rain Master Luo at once. I stood up and rushed toward her to push her away, but Ke Yu Shi Luo's hand stopped me. She stood straight at the edge of the cliff, three long swords embedded in her body. The swords pierced through her chest as Rain Master Luo softly said, "In the end, it can't be saved."
With red eyes, I watched as Rain Master Luo leaned back. She pushed me away and fell into the clouds beneath Huashan's peak, plunging into the abyss.
"Give me three more years; I will reach the pinnacle of swordsmanship and slay you all like dogs."
