Da Shewan enthusiastically introduced the layout of their home in the living room, a proud smile on his face. "Our house has two floors. The first floor has two bedrooms, a living room, a bathroom, and a kitchen. The living room is spacious and bright, perfect for gatherings and relaxation." 0

He led everyone through the living room, pointing to the two rooms on the left. "These two are guest rooms. They are simply decorated but very comfortable, suitable for short stays." Anthon and Haohao followed him, taking in the charm of the old house. 0

"The bathroom is over here," Da Shewan said, gesturing toward a wooden door before walking toward the kitchen. "The kitchen is at the back; it's very spacious and fully equipped. We often enjoy making traditional dishes here." 0

Da Shewan guided everyone up the stairs to the second floor. "There are three guest rooms on this floor, each quite large and capable of accommodating several people. There's also a balcony where you can enjoy the morning sun and evening breeze." As he spoke, he pushed open the balcony door, sunlight flooding into the space. 0

"This is the bathroom," Da Shewan pointed to a door at the end of the hallway. "It's modernly decorated and equipped with all necessary facilities." 0

He then led everyone to the backyard, pointing at the lush green lawn. "The backyard is very spacious, well-maintained, and we often hold barbecues and gatherings here." In one corner of the lawn were one or two barbecue grills that looked ready for use. 0

Haohao looked around in surprise and excitement. "This place is great! It feels perfect for relaxing and unwinding!" 0

Da Shewan smiled with satisfaction. "Exactly! This place is perfect for our project. I hope you all have a wonderful time here." 0

As everyone continued chatting in the living room, enjoying what seemed like a relaxed atmosphere, they suddenly heard a series of faint groans that sounded like a broken bicycle, its age causing high-pitched friction with every movement. The noise was particularly jarring in the quiet space, creating an uncomfortable feeling. 0

Da Shewan's previously cheerful expression turned cold for an instant as a shadow crossed his eyes. However, he quickly regained his composure and cheerfully said, "Ah! That’s Grandpa; he must be hungry." His tone was lighthearted, as if the sound was just a normal household occurrence. 0

Haohao asked in surprise, "Grandpa? Does he live here?" 0

Da Shewan nodded with a smile. "Yes, Grandpa is elderly and has difficulty moving around, so we take care of him. Come on; I'll introduce you to him." 0

Anthon's heart tightened as he noticed the fleeting cold expression on Da Shewan's face, and his alertness immediately heightened. He didn't know the true source of the voice, but his intuition told him that Grandpa's existence might not be as simple as Da Shewan claimed. 0

Da Shewan led everyone to a room and pushed open a door, revealing a dimly lit space with only a small lamp casting weak light. In the corner of the room sat an elderly man in a wheelchair, his face haggard and his eyes blankly staring ahead. His body appeared extremely frail, hands trembling involuntarily, and his lips quivered slightly as he emitted incomprehensible murmurs and groans. 0

"Grandpa, these are my friends, Haohao and Anthon," Da Shewan introduced with a smile, his tone laced with a strong sense of familiarity. 0

The old man nodded slightly, but his eyes were filled with fear and madness. His lips trembled as if he wanted to say something but could not produce clear sounds, only vague moans. Haohao politely greeted him, trying to engage in conversation, but the old man showed no reaction to his call, instead looking increasingly anxious at Da Shewan, his gaze filled with a plea for help. 0

Anthon stood aside, silently observing everything. He felt an unusual heaviness in the atmosphere of the room, filled with confusion and unease. The old man's vacant yet desperate eyes and trembling body sent a chill down his spine; he did not know the true situation of this Grandpa, but his instincts told him that there were hidden secrets lurking here. 0

Da Shewan gently patted the old man's shoulder, causing him to flinch violently, fear evident in his eyes as if he were terrified of Da Shewan's touch. Still smiling, Da Shewan said, "Grandpa, we're going to prepare dinner; you should rest for a while." He then turned to Haohao and Anthon and said, "Let's go to the kitchen and prepare something to eat." 0

Haohao nodded and followed Da Shewan out of the room. He had no doubts about Da Shewan's treatment of Grandpa, believing that Da Shewan was simply caring for family. 0

Anthon was the last to leave, casting one final glance at the old man before closing the door behind him. His heart was filled with vigilance as he saw a flicker of despair and pain in the old man's eyes that seemed to be pleading for help. A strong sense of unease washed over Anthon; he knew he had to remain alert and ready for any potential changes. 0

Back in the living room, Da Shewan said to Pig's Feet, "Could you take them upstairs to their guest rooms? Help them settle in while I handle Grandpa's dinner." Pig's Feet nodded with a smile before turning slightly stiffly to say, "Haohao, Anthon, let's grab our things and head upstairs! I'll show you around." 0

Though Pig's Feet wore a smile on his face, Anthon felt it was forced, carrying an air of stiffness and unnaturalness. A wave of unease washed over him; he wasn't sure if he was being overly cautious but decided to stay vigilant. 0

"Sure! Let's go!" Haohao responded cheerfully, appearing completely unguarded. 0

Anthon quietly picked up his luggage and followed behind Haohao and Pig's Feet, still filled with doubt. He noticed Pig's Feet occasionally glancing at them with a hint of coldness and hostility in his eyes that sent another chill through him. 0

"Follow me upstairs," Pig's Feet said as he walked, introducing the space. "This is the second floor, which has three guest rooms. You can choose any room you like; each one has its own air conditioning and beds to ensure your comfort." He pointed to one of the rooms. "This one has a balcony with a direct view of the backyard. If you like it, you can stay here." 0

Haohao, hearing this, excitedly opened the door and stepped inside, looking around. "This place is really nice! I'll take this room!" 0

Anthon chose a room closer to the stairs so he could keep an eye on what was happening downstairs. He set down his luggage and walked to the window, gazing at the view outside, still feeling a sense of vigilance. 0

Standing at the door, Pig's Feet smiled and said, "If you need anything, feel free to call me. I'm in the next room." 0

"Thank you, Pig's Feet! You've really been a great help," Haohao replied gratefully. 0

Pig's Feet nodded slightly and turned to leave for his own room. Anthon noticed that as Pig's Feet walked away, his unease did not dissipate; instead, it intensified. 0

He approached Haohao's room door and whispered, "Haohao, do you think Pig's Feet seems a bit strange?" 0

Haohao laughed and said, "Anthon, are you being too nervous? Da Shewan and Pig's Feet are both very friendly; I don't think there's anything wrong with them." 0

Anthon frowned and quietly replied, "Maybe, but I just feel like something isn't right. Please keep an eye out too, okay?" 0

Haohao nodded. Although he still seemed somewhat unconvinced, he agreed to Anthon's request. Anthon knew he couldn't let his guard down; regardless of how Haohao felt about it, he had to ensure their safety. 0
