Fat Ma stared at me, seemingly waiting for my response.
I had unexpectedly shouted the name "Bai Yu," and I was taken aback by my own reaction. Bai Yu was a clay figure, and the clay figure was Bai Yu; I mentally processed this information.
Finally, I arrived at a definitive conclusion: Bai Yu was indeed the clay figure.
But what exactly was going on? I couldn't articulate it right away; I only felt a tangle of thoughts in my mind, settling down, then slowly seeming to release, becoming increasingly muddled.
I murmured the name "Bai Yu," feeling a strange familiarity. I couldn't help but glance at the clay figure again, suddenly feeling a sharp pain in my head.
Fat Ma squatted beside me, looking at us both with a puzzled expression, remaining silent.
At that moment, however, commotion erupted nearby. Another ethereal 'me' was rising into the air, gradually surrounded by those Mysterious Violet Yin Soldiers. The scene appeared quite bizarre.
Next to the Yin Soldiers, a group of 'living people' had gathered, led by Sun Youwei, who was intently observing everything happening before him. Their expressions varied greatly.
The one thing they all shared was shock.
The 'me' suspended in mid-air had closed eyes and made no movements, giving off an aura that felt otherworldly, presenting an utterly stunning sight that seemed to transcend reality like a myth.
Suddenly, the other 'me' gestured forward, and instantly everyone knelt down, including my father. Yet to me, this all seemed absurd.
Fat Ma stared blankly at the scene before us; the clay figure murmured something, unable to hide its astonishment.
She appeared as if she had lost her soul in an instant, her gaze vacantly shifting between me and the other 'me'.
Song Ran smiled.
"Kui, my king, is that you?" someone asked in a trembling voice.
Upon hearing this call, another version of me slowly opened his eyes, and suddenly, everything seemed to come alive; the heads of all those kneeling on the ground bowed even lower.
Suddenly, armor unexpectedly covered Kui's body, and he held a Bronze sword in his hand, though it appeared ethereal, almost as if it were not truly there.
Fat Ma recognized it at once and exclaimed, "Look over there, isn't that..."
Before Fat Ma could finish her sentence, she was interrupted by a figure made of mud.
Suddenly, Kui's gaze shifted towards her and Song Ran. The murderous aura that had surrounded him instantly transformed into calmness.
Then, astonishingly, he knelt on one knee in mid-air and called out, "Princess, is that you?"
At this moment, everyone's attention turned in that direction, staring at the two identical figures.
Suddenly...
"It is me..." she replied as if she had made a tremendous decision.
Song Ran looked at this woman who resembled her with great surprise; she was actually the Princess. A storm of emotions surged within Song Ran.
"You shouldn't have done this," she said calmly.
Suddenly, someone waved at Song Ran, and she immediately ran over. It seemed that only Wei and she were left now.
She was waiting for Wei's response.
Wei remained silent for a moment before replying, "That was not my intention."
She looked at him and suddenly sneered, "I will no longer believe you!"
"Wei, my king!" someone couldn't help but call out.
Wei's body seemed to hover in the air, as if covered by a layer of gauze, making him difficult to grasp.
"I have been sleeping in this coffin for many years; many things are not my intention."
Her gaze turned icy as she said, "Then you should continue to lie down instead of speaking to me face to face now."
The moment those words fell, everyone gasped in shock.
She was speaking to Wei!
Wei did not respond immediately; this time he seemed to fall into complete silence. All sounds vanished without a trace, leaving only various colors of light and the heavy sound of breathing.
"Wei! My king, do not listen to her!" someone urged quickly, fearing that Wei might change his mind.
She remained silent, waiting for Wei to give her an answer.
Everyone held their breath in anticipation, and finally, Wei spoke, "Perhaps I should do as you wish!"
"That's best!" she immediately replied.
"Don't! Wang!"
"It can't be helped."
Voices of dissuasion rose continuously.
"Our lineage has struggled since we were defeated in the business war. It hasn't been easy living in the Central Plains all these years. How many generations have passed for us to achieve..."
He wanted to continue, but a single glance from Wei silenced him instantly.
Another voice chimed in, "Regardless, please take care, Wang!" This was Old Wang, who had previously mentioned the Soul Summoning Ceremony to Sun Youwei. Now it seemed that the soul had been completely ignited, and all rituals should come to an end.
Wei was alive! At least for now, she appeared to be.
I turned my gaze toward Wei, feeling as if I were looking at another version of myself, yet it didn't feel like me; it felt like I was observing someone else entirely.
She seemed familiar yet strangely foreign.
I felt a whirlwind of confusion, as if I had fallen into a pot of chaos, losing all sense of direction.
At that moment, the Bronze Coffin lay on the ground, still emanating the ethereal light of Youlan.
When I, Fat Ma, and the other two saw the scene inside the coffin, it felt like gazing into a chaotic realm, filled with endless dread and terror.
Now, it has reappeared, bringing forth so many things.
It seems that from the moment I first descended with Fat Ma, this series of events has been intentionally or unintentionally intertwined with me, right up to now.
I am still trapped within it, yet I remain an observer, still in the dark, unable to see many things clearly.
I attempted to slowly push myself up, but my legs felt weak and could not support me. I had Bai Yu and Fat Ma help me up.
Finally, I stood.
I felt a weight in my chest that dissipated as soon as I stood up. I walked toward the crowd, glancing at Song Ran. I took a look at him and then at the so-called Wei.
My father noticed me approaching and got up to support me.
As I looked at him, my gaze became incredibly complex. What do all these things mean? What do they signify? And what am I? What do I represent?
When Song Ran's gaze met mine, he seemed to flinch.
I didn't understand why. Could it be that all these people and events are merely illusions? Or am I currently trapped in a dream?
