It has been three or four years since I last parted ways with Hills. 0

What was I thinking? Fat Ma's words pulled me back to reality. 0

I didn’t respond to him and simply followed along. 0

In front of the tent, the gentleman was laughing heartily, standing before a sharply dressed young man. From his silhouette, I could tell he was quite young. 0

As I got closer, my assumption proved correct; the gentleman was indeed waiting for this young man. 0

When the gentleman saw us approaching, he spoke up and introduced, "This is Brother Jiang." 0

I politely greeted Second Brother, and he nodded in acknowledgment. 0

Fat Ma and the clay figurine also greeted him, but he remained silent. Was he another odd person? 0

Despite this, I didn’t underestimate him; anyone who could make the gentleman wait so long must possess considerable skills. 0

We also introduced ourselves to Brother Jiang. 0

That marked the beginning of our acquaintance. 0

Brother Jiang had a pale complexion, though it was a sickly kind of pale, and he exuded a calm demeanor. 0

Afterward, we discussed matters for a while, but throughout the entire conversation, Brother Jiang didn’t utter a single word. Could it be that he was mute? I wondered to myself. 0

Even in this group of people who might not be fond of talking, one would expect them to speak at least occasionally. 0

He was indeed a man of few words, keeping his mouth shut and responding only with nods or shakes of his head when asked. Truly a peculiar person. 0

After discussing, we decided to wait a few more days before taking action given the current weather conditions. 0

There was no specific time set, so we had no choice but to wait. It wasn't until the night of the third day that we were awakened and told it was time to go. 0

Fat Ma jumped up eagerly, quickly putting on his clothes and muttering, "If we don't move soon, I'm going to burst." 0

Stepping out of the tent, the outside was calm, and a bonfire had already been lit. 0

Everyone gathered around the fire. 0

The leader didn't waste any time; he simply said "Let's go," and everyone sprang into action. 0

From my observations over the past few days, there were twenty-five people in the entire team. Including the three of us and Brother Jiang, that made a total of twenty-nine. However, at that moment, only twenty-eight were present; Shovel was missing. I scanned the area but still couldn't find him. 0

Their actions were generally straightforward and efficient, without any unnecessary delays; their training was remarkably good. 0

It felt more like a military unit. 0

In less than a minute, they were all geared up and ready to go. I was slightly faster than Fat Ma but still took about three minutes. 0

Each of us received a set of Oxygen Equipment. We were about to dive in. 0

Although I already knew that the Tomb was at the bottom of the river, it was still somewhat shocking to actually be preparing to go down. 0

The Tomb was actually located at the riverbed. Not to mention its size, just considering the engineering difficulty was astonishing. 0

Once the bonfire was extinguished, we set off. 0

I had an American Submachine Gun hanging around my neck, waterproof. 0

When I reached the riverbank, the Water Surface appeared very calm. 0

Suddenly, a splash erupted from the river, and a person emerged from the water. He floated unsteadily on the Water Surface, but his position remained unchanged; he must have been secured with ropes below. 0

It should be Shovel. Under a beam of light, he gestured towards us. 0

The ropes were already tied, and Xiao Hui whispered in the man's ear. 0

He spoke up, and everyone pulled the ropes to move closer. As soon as he finished speaking, those people all entered the water in unison, their backs hitting the surface first. 0

Then, following the rope, they reached the spot where Shovel was and submerged, disappearing from sight. All their movements were seamless. 0

I felt a bit dazed as Mud Man stood beside me and said, "They are very professional. I know exactly what he means." 0

I instinctively nodded. 0

Fat Ma could no longer wait; as soon as those people vanished, he splashed into the water and urged us to hurry. 0

I looked up and took a deep breath. Suddenly, a gust of wind blew by, and for some reason, I felt a bit strange. 0

Each of us had a waterproof Searchlight mounted on our heads. 0

Once we entered the water, I could truly sense how turbulent the current was. It was a difficult climb along the rope until we reached the precise location, then we submerged underwater. 0

The water was cold; even through my waterproof suit, I could feel it distinctly. 0

Many beams of light flickered in the water. 0

As I descended, a rope guided me to all the places I needed to go. 0

The water continuously battered against my body; only as I went deeper did I feel the force of the current begin to lessen. 0

Just as I was making steady progress downward, I suddenly encountered some resistance. I opened my eyes wide and saw a pale face appear abruptly, startling me. 0

I almost lost my grip on the rope and was swept away. Suddenly, someone pressed down on my shoulder. I turned to see Xiao Hui, who gestured for me to remain calm. 0

I nodded, but unease settled in my heart; someone had died so quickly. 0

I glanced back, watching the body float upward until it slowly disappeared, that beam of light ultimately extinguished. 0

Yet no one here seemed to care about his death. Dead is dead. 0

The rope was slanted as we continued to climb down into the depths. The rope swayed unpredictably under the impact of the water. 0

After progressing for a while, I spotted an opening, and one by one, they entered. 0

I quickly followed into that opening, surmising that the Tomb had been destroyed. 0

Once inside, the force of the water had noticeably diminished, allowing me to control my body freely. 0

The opening was already filled with a large amount of river water. Inside, I navigated while keeping an eye on my surroundings. 0

The walls were artificially constructed and felt surprisingly dry to the touch. 0

The group ahead showed no signs of stopping; they pressed onward with clear intent. 0

However, as we descended further, the water seemed to grow murkier, visibility becoming pitiful. In the haze, I could make out those beams of light. 0

I paddled vigorously through the water, trying to catch up with them. 0

Suddenly, the tunnel narrowed, allowing only one person to pass through at a time. The current in this tight space noticeably quickened. 0

After making it through, I saw a lot of debris floating in the water, obstructing my view. Occasionally, I could glimpse aquatic creatures. 0

As I moved forward, gunshots rang out ahead. Upon hearing the gunfire, I felt a surge of tension; the entire team came to a halt. 0

Surprisingly, there was no sign of panic. 0

The gunfire continued for about a minute before it finally quieted down, and the team resumed its orderly advance. 0

Blood-red water began to flow past me. I quickened my pace and soon spotted a creature's corpse, with bullet holes still oozing blood. This area of water was completely stained red. 0

I leaned in for a closer look and was taken aback; the creature resembled a humanoid but was covered in white fur, with long, sharp fangs protruding outward—truly terrifying. 0

What kind of aquatic creature is this? I've never seen anything like it! After lingering for a few seconds, I continued to swim forward. 0

Suddenly, all the light converged, and everyone stopped; we had arrived at a more spacious area. 0

Someone was injured; I saw someone tending to a wound. 0

At that moment, Fat Ma swam beside me, gesturing wildly. I barely understood what he was trying to convey, but judging by his exaggerated movements, I could imagine how intense the battle had been. 0

This expedition had not started well; we had just entered the water when someone died, and now there was blood. A sense of unease began to settle in my heart. 0

This was a tomb chamber, but it was now filled with water, and various debris floated throughout the space. 0

Fat Ma gestured wildly, blinking at me as if waiting for an answer. 0

I gestured back, actually wanting to ask what kind of creature that was. 0

Fat Ma seemed to understand and shook his head. 0

Suddenly, Fat Ma pulled me into the tomb chamber. The chamber was about a hundred square feet, constructed with neatly stacked stone bricks, looking rather empty. 0

It seemed that the river had washed something away. Soon, the teacher and Brother Jiang followed in, with Shovel bringing up the rear. 0

They appeared to have a plan, stopping here and waiting for instructions. 0

A thought suddenly crossed my mind: did they have a map of this Tomb? I couldn't help but get distracted. 0

Once the teacher entered, everyone gathered around, their movements synchronized. 0

The teacher gestured to them, but it looked far more professional than our attempts. 0

I saw those people nodding in agreement. 0

Then they moved forward again. However, we didn't quite understand what was happening, and the teacher didn't have extra time to explain it to me. 0

In the end, it was Shovel who led us to follow him. 0

The three of us trailed behind the mud man and began moving forward again. 0

If there hadn't been water flooding this place before, I thought it would be easier because the water seemed to have washed through the entire Tomb, turning all the dirt into obstructions to our vision. 0

The water had mostly turned yellow, making it increasingly difficult to distinguish the surroundings, as if everything around us was solid and pressing uncomfortably against us. 0

Suddenly, black floating objects appeared in the water, resembling soft-bodied creatures. At first, I didn't pay much attention to them. 0

It wasn't until someone reminded me that they were leeches. 0

I quickly brushed them off my body, relieved that there weren't many of them. 0

Moving through the water was definitely slower than on land, especially in the narrow tomb passage. 0

The team ahead fell silent again, having heard that a stone door was blocking our way. 0

After waiting for a few minutes, a massive shockwave and loud noise erupted, and we were pushed back by the force of the water. 0

Fat Ma cursed angrily, while bubbles continued to rise. 0

This was likely the result of underwater explosives; without a doubt, the stone door had been blown open. 0

Sure enough, after a brief pause, the entire team resumed moving forward in an orderly fashion. In such an environment, the only thing visible was a dim light. 0

Before long, we arrived at an open area; this must be the actual burial chamber, I thought to myself. 0

The others quickly spread out within the chamber and began their work. Fat Ma, the clay figure, and I stood still, watching their movements. After a few minutes, one person suddenly lost control for no apparent reason... 0
