"What happened to you?" The woman looked at Wang Niu's changing face, curious.
"Nothing. By the way, what's going on here?" Wang Niu gazed at the Red Lotus Pavilion in confusion, as he shouldn't have been unable to enter.
The woman lifted her gaze and looked ahead, where a strange aura rippled faintly in the air. "That's Demonic Light; it's a formation he set up. Didn't you notice that things were unusual when you arrived?"
Wang Niu recalled the odd light he had seen when he first entered. "I intended to dispel it earlier, but I was worried it would attract his attention, so I didn't!"
The woman nodded thoughtfully. "Yes, you're right. All the power here comes from external forces. Only beings of the same kind can connect; since you're not one of them, naturally, you can't enter!"
Wang Niu finally understood. The woman pondered for a moment and said, "Put your hand out."
Wang Niu looked at her in confusion, unsure of her intentions. She bit her finger and seemed to draw something on his hand. Before long, a strange pattern appeared on his palm.
"What is this?" It resembled a nine-tailed fox seal.
The woman took a deep breath and contemplated for a moment. "Consider it a stamp of kinship! Try to see if you can enter now!"
Wang Niu nodded, focused his energy, and stepped inside. To his surprise, he could indeed walk in. The woman followed him.
"We can get in now!" Wang Niu exclaimed excitedly.
"Yes, the person you're looking for is on the second floor!" The woman pointed upwards. Wang Niu followed her finger and saw that there was even more black mist on the second floor, interspersed with a hint of strange light.
"He must be busy! This is a good opportunity!" Wang Niu quickly ascended to the second floor and found that, just as the woman said, someone inside was indeed occupied and emitting incredible sounds.
Wang Niu poked a hole in the paper window. His vision revealed a man and a woman inside. He noticed that the man seemed to radiate a dim glow; this was the man's weakest moment—if he acted now, he could eliminate him.
The sounds of passion from the man and woman reached Wang Niu's ears. He felt conflicted when suddenly a beam of light shot past him and struck the man from behind, causing various energies to erupt from him.
Wang Niu's heart skipped a beat—where did that light come from? He instinctively glanced behind him and found that the woman had somehow moved to stand right next to him.
"What are you doing here?" Wang Niu asked curiously.
The woman chuckled lightly. "If I were you, I would have just kept watching without acting; you'd miss out on a great opportunity!"
Wang Niu smiled awkwardly when suddenly they heard the man's scream from inside, followed by chaos erupting around them. Wang Niu's heart raced as he looked around; it felt like everything was about to collapse.
The woman noticed too. "We need to hurry; this place is going to fall apart and won't exist anymore!"
Wang Niu was taken aback but was quickly pulled away by the woman. They arrived at a safe location just as a loud crash echoed in their ears—the Red Lotus Pavilion had vanished.
"Is it over?" Wang Niu asked uncertainly.
The woman nodded. "Yes, look! The souls that were imprisoned by him are rising too!" At that moment, many souls began to ascend into the heavens.
"You see? My nine-tailed fox seal is gone!" The woman shook herself as wisps of White Mist rose around her; indeed, her nine-tailed fox had disappeared.
Wang Niu felt exhilarated—this meant she could regain her freedom! "Congratulations!"
The woman smiled back at him. "Actually, I owe you my thanks; if it weren't for you, I wouldn't have returned to normal."
After bidding farewell to the woman, Wang Niu prepared to return to heaven when Feng Ju reappeared beside him.
"The matter has been resolved!"
Wang Niu nodded; it seemed this incident had settled down.
"Wang Jun, shall we head back?"
Wang Niu agreed; they should return since Ruoxi was still upset.
Upon returning to heaven, they found Ruoxi chatting with Xiaomei. Seeing them approach, Ruoxi stood up and walked away.
"Wang Jun!" Wang Niu called out as he hurriedly caught up with Ruoxi. "What's wrong?"
Ruoxi seemed still angry and didn't respond to him!
Feeling frustrated, Wang Niu asked again, "Are you still mad at me?"
Feng Ju and Xiaomei slowly backed away as Ruoxi lowered her head in silence. Thinking about how Wang Niu carried another woman's scent made her heart ache.
"Ruoxi, what would it take for you to forgive me?" Wang Niu pleaded desperately.
Ruoxi thought for a moment before replying, "Unless you give me a grand wedding!"
Wang Niu's eyes lit up at this suggestion. "That's absolutely no problem!"
Ruoxi secretly smiled while Wang Niu's worries melted away as he announced their engagement far and wide.
In no time at all, everyone knew about it. Listening to their chatter made Ruoxi very happy.
Days passed until their wedding day arrived when all the celestial beings came to offer their blessings.
Wang Niu felt immense joy; he had been waiting for this day for so long in his heart.
Ruoxi walked towards him in her wedding attire step by step, making Wang Niu's heart race—she looked truly beautiful at that moment.
"Ruoxi!" Wang Niu exclaimed excitedly as she smiled at him and asked playfully, "Do I look good?"
"You look stunning; you're the most beautiful bride I've ever seen!"
Ruoxi blushed shyly as they prepared for the wedding ceremony beneath the Celestial Assembly where they officially became husband and wife.
Suddenly Ruoxi's eyes glistened with tears as she gazed at Wang Niu with complex emotions swirling within her heart—they had endured so much together along this journey.
"Ruoxi, why are you crying?" Wang Niu asked tenderly.
"It's not that," she replied softly. "I just feel we've been through so much hardship together—your reincarnation and suffering."
Her words filled Wang Niu with warmth as he comforted her: "It's really not hard; as long as you're by my side, nothing feels difficult anymore. Now we can live happily together!"
Ruoxi smiled sweetly at him. "Yes! No matter what we face in the future, we'll bear it together!"
Wang Niu embraced Ruoxi tightly: "I know you've always been there." (THE END)
