"Look!" Feng Ju exclaimed excitedly, pointing at a scene in the mirror as he spoke to Wang Niu.
Wang Niu immediately noticed what was happening in the mirror, and his expression turned serious. "I know, we can't act yet. We need to wait a bit longer!"
Feng Ju nodded at Wang Niu, and they both focused their attention back on the mirror. The two Wraiths had already entered the village, and the dark aura surrounding them was growing stronger.
Feng Ju was suddenly taken aback. "Wang Jun, what are they doing?"
Wang Niu furrowed his brow. "They’re probably planning to kill everyone in the village!"
"What? This is serious!" Feng Ju's face turned pale. If they killed all the villagers, it would be a huge problem! What would they do with so many vengeful spirits?
"Yes, this is indeed serious. However, we need to stop them before anything major happens!" Wang Niu said.
Feng Ju nodded. While they were speaking, the resentment emitted by the two Wraiths had already surrounded the entire village, causing panic to rise within Wang Niu and Feng Ju.
"What’s going on?"
Then they saw white light emanating from the village.
"This is bad; those two Wraiths are starting to absorb the village's popularity!" Feng Ju felt a chill run down his spine.
Wang Niu frowned, sensing something was off. It shouldn’t be possible for these Wraiths to absorb the villagers even with their dark energy! After all, the Ghost Messenger was still around! But why couldn’t they see any sign of the Ghost Messenger?
"Something's wrong; this doesn't feel right! Where's the Ghost Messenger?" Wang Niu looked at Feng Ju.
Feng Ju was momentarily stunned, realizing he hadn’t seen the Ghost Messenger either!
"What should we do?"
Wang Niu squinted his eyes and said to Feng Ju, "Could it be that something happened to those Ghost Messengers?"
This thought sent a jolt of fear through Feng Ju's heart. He seemed to be contemplating something when suddenly an idea struck him!
"Right! Those Ghost Messengers might have been blinded by the Yin Order!" Feng Ju said to Wang Niu.
Wang Niu was taken aback, staring incredulously at Feng Ju. It was possible that those two ghosts used the Yin Order to restrict Yin Chai! If that were true, they needed to be cautious; it meant those two Wraiths still had something up their sleeves against them!
At that moment, Wang Niu's expression grew grave. The white light in the scene intensified, indicating that most of the Yang Qi from the villagers had already been absorbed. If they didn’t act soon, the villagers would be in danger.
"Wang Jun, let’s take action!" Feng Ju urged Wang Niu.
Seeing how serious things had become, Wang Niu couldn't hesitate any longer and nodded in agreement with Feng Ju as they rushed toward the small village.
The two Evil Spirits were oblivious to their arrival as they continued draining energy from the villagers!
Feng Ju saw this and said to Wang Niu, "Wang Jun, this is a perfect opportunity!"
Wang Niu nodded and unleashed Emperor's Light. The sudden burst of light illuminated the entire village and pierced through the bodies of the two Evil Spirits, causing them to emit deafening screams that filled Wang Niu with panic!
"Ah!"
At that moment, a beam of light shot out from the bodies of the two Evil Spirits and instantly surged toward Wang Niu and Feng Ju, piercing through them!
However, they were not seriously harmed! This left both Wang Niu and Feng Ju confused about what had just happened.
"Wang Jun, what was that?" Wind Lord asked Wang Niu.
Wang Niu shook his head; it felt like Yin Qi but wasn’t quite right—if it were truly Yin Qi, it wouldn’t have such power!
"Be careful!"
Just then, the two Wraiths noticed them!
"Heh heh, are you trying to stop us? Do you know what will happen if you do? You will die here! We know you are deities, but so what? You will still die at our hands!" The two Wraiths charged toward Wang Niu and Feng Ju!
In an instant, both Wang Niu and Feng Ju seemed to understand what was happening and quickly concealed themselves!
"What’s going on? Where did they go?" The two Wraiths were momentarily stunned but remained vigilant as their gazes scanned their surroundings!
At that moment, Wang Niu and Feng Ju had already positioned themselves behind them!
"Wang Jun, should we strike first?" Feng Ju asked Wang Niu.
Wang Niu nodded in agreement. They combined their maximum energy together because these two Wraiths were not ordinary; they harbored immense power!
In an instant, their combined energies surged toward the two Wraiths and ensnared them with overwhelming force! This made both Wang Niu and Feng Ju secretly rejoice!
The captured Wraiths began to swell ominously; it seemed like they were about to explode. At that moment, Wang Niu realized something and quickly pulled Feng Ju back a few steps!
"Be careful; everything here is about to explode!"
"Ah!" Just as they retreated, a massive explosion erupted! The two Wraiths shattered into pieces before disappearing entirely! This left both Wang Niu and Feng Ju startled; in an instant, those two Wraiths were gone!
Taking a deep breath of relief, Wang Niu and Feng Ju felt fortunate that they had managed to eliminate those Wraiths; otherwise, the consequences would have been unimaginable!
Just as they were catching their breath, new developments unfolded around them as white mist began rising slowly from their surroundings.
"What’s happening?" Feng Ju was momentarily stunned!
"This is bad; those souls are emerging from the villagers!" Just as Wang Niu finished speaking, terrifying figures began materializing around them! These were all souls from the village—if these souls returned to the Underworld, chaos would surely ensue there too! If that happened, it could lead to turmoil throughout the entire village!
This realization filled both Wang Niu and Feng Ju with anxiety.
"What should we do, Wang Jun?"
"We need to control these souls first!" Wang Niu instructed Feng Ju.
In an instant, Feng Ju snapped back into focus and joined forces with Wang Niu against these souls!
Within moments, all of these souls were under control thanks to Feng Ju's efforts!
Then Wang Niu sent these souls back into the bodies of the villagers.
"Wang Jun, does this mean everything is okay now?" Feng Ju still felt some concern lingering in his heart.
Wang Niu nodded at him affirmatively.
Then suddenly realizing something important, Feng Ju said to Wang Niu: "Wait a minute; isn’t there something we’ve forgotten?"
Wang Niu paused for a moment before noticing that after entering those villagers' bodies, those souls suddenly emerged again as if they didn’t belong there!
"What’s going on?" Wang Niu was bewildered by this sight!
Feng Ju felt an ominous sensation creeping into his heart.
"Wang Jun, could it be that we made a mistake?"
"What do you mean?" Wang Niu was startled by Feng Ju's words!
"I think these souls don’t belong to these villagers at all! Look!" At that moment, Feng Ju pointed toward one villager who stood frozen at the entrance!
Wang Niu felt something was off about this villager too!
He strode over to examine him closely; in an instant he poked this villager who promptly collapsed—his body stiffened immediately!
Wang Niu stared at him in confusion.
"It seems like these villagers are dead!" he stated.
"What? Dead? That’s impossible; just moments ago they were alive!"
Wang Niu nodded seriously—these villagers were indeed dead!
"What should we do now?"
Feng Ju asked anxiously as he noticed those earlier souls still floating ominously in mid-air!
However, they had confirmed earlier that those souls did not belong to any of these villagers!
But where did these souls come from?
And what happened to these villagers?
"Wang Jun," he said gravely," it seems like something significant is about to happen—the entire village is dead; this is serious business! If we don’t figure this out soon enough... we might face dire consequences!"
Feng Ju’s words made Wang Niu feel a sense of urgency wash over him; his heart raced with anxiety!
He set up barriers around this village!
"We’ll come back during daylight—I’ve locked this place down; if we don’t leave soon enough we might get affected by all this resentment!"
Feng Ju nodded in agreement as they both departed from there.
The next day found both Wang Niu and Feng Ju returning once more!
After a night had passed here everything had changed dramatically!
"What happened here?" Feng Ju gasped in shock!
This sudden transformation left him feeling bewildered!
Everything appeared desolate now.
Even those villagers' corpses had turned into mere bones!
"What on earth happened?"
Feng Ju was terrified by this sight!
"I suspect what we saw before was merely an illusion—someone must have set this up here; but who that person is remains unknown!"
Wang Niu's expression turned grave.
Hearing this made Feng Ju’s face turn pale.
"If that's true then whoever did this must be formidable!"
Wang Niu analyzed while Feng Ju understood from his words—someone capable of pulling off such tricks right under their noses certainly wasn’t ordinary!
"Wang Jun," he asked urgently," how can we uncover who did this?"
Wang Niu paused thoughtfully for a moment before suddenly suggesting: "You should bring over Silver Mirror!"
