Wang Niu took a deep breath and said to Bai Yu, "I'm fine!" Just as those words left his lips, Wang Niu seemed to sense something. Suddenly, his shoulders felt heavy, as if a great weight had struck him. His face instantly turned pale.
Wang Niu inhaled deeply, trying to sense what was happening, and then he saw the ghosts around him waking up one by one. His brows furrowed tightly; what was going on?
"Be careful!" Bai Yu shouted as she flew towards Wang Niu, positioning herself protectively beside him. But at that moment, Bai Yu was suddenly grabbed tightly by a ghost nearby. In an instant, her mouth was covered by a wave of Yin Qi. Meanwhile, Wang Niu was entangled by several ghosts and remained unaware of Bai Yu's predicament.
Suddenly, Bai Yu wanted to call out to Wang Niu, but it was too late. She was yanked downwards by a ghost, and a chilling sensation surged through her heart. Everything went dark before her eyes, plunging her into fear; she never expected this place to be so terrifying.
"What is happening?" Bai Yu murmured to herself. At that moment, Wang Niu seemed to feel something and immediately activated his Emperor power. The emergence of this power sent a jolt through Wang Niu's heart because he could no longer sense Bai Yu's presence. He quickly turned around but saw no sign of her.
"Bai Yu!" Wang Niu shouted in realization. There was no response from her. Just then, he noticed thick smoke rising from a patch of ground nearby, causing his heart to race with dread.
Without hesitation, he dashed towards the source of the smoke. In an instant, he felt an overwhelming force gripping him; it was as if his feet were being controlled by an unseen hand. Looking down, he saw a ghostly hand tightly holding his legs.
The ghostly hand radiated power and yanked Wang Niu down to the ground, filling him with deep-seated fear. He secretly summoned his strength, which erupted in golden light all over his body. The moment the golden light appeared, the ghostly hand beneath him vanished.
Wang Niu's gaze remained fixed on the spot where the hand had been; his heart sank further as he concluded that Bai Yu must have been captured by those ghosts below! Taking another deep breath, he shouted towards the ground, "Bai Yu, can you hear my voice?"
After a while without any response from Bai Yu, worry began to creep into Wang Niu's heart. Just then, he heard her voice calling out to him. At that moment, he sensed something and unleashed a massive surge of energy towards the area where he last saw her.
The energy struck Wang Niu and soon reflected back with tremendous force. He quickly dodged aside as a powerful blast erupted in the air. In that moment, he finally spotted Bai Yu being propelled out by the explosion!
Wang Niu rushed towards her and caught her just in time. "Are you okay?" he asked urgently.
"I'm fine," Bai Yu replied. "I just accidentally got my foot caught by those ghosts!" Wang Niu looked at her silently, which made Bai Yu feel an odd sensation.
"What’s wrong with me?" she asked curiously.
Wang Niu paused for a moment before saying, "It's nothing; you just look really pale. Are you sure you're okay?" Bai Yu shook her head in response. At that moment, they both noticed a strange scent wafting through the air.
Looking around, they saw that all the ghosts had been pinned down! Bai Yu felt puzzled when suddenly an unusual noise echoed towards them; their gazes turned towards the coffin in front of them.
"What is going on?" Wang Niu asked Bai Yu with concern.
Bai Yu's eyes were fixed on the coffin as she noticed that its lid had somehow been removed. This left Wang Niu momentarily stunned.
"Be careful!" Bai Yu warned him.
Nodding in acknowledgment, they watched as an eerie aura suddenly emanated from the coffin. Wang Niu's heart tightened as he realized something strange was unfolding.
Then they saw a peculiar figure sit up from inside the coffin! The expressions on both Bai Yu and Wang Niu changed dramatically.
"What is that?" Wang Niu asked in confusion.
"That's a Ghostly Shadow Person; look at its mouth!" Bai Yu pointed at the figure before them.
Following her gaze, Wang Niu noticed that this person had something long protruding from their mouth, sending another chill down his spine.
"Is that Yin Tooth Powder?" Before Bai Yu could respond, more Yin Persons appeared around them inexplicably.
"Wang Niu! Look!" Bai Yu exclaimed as her face turned pale again at the sight of these Yin Persons reappearing.
Wang Niu's expression grew serious as he observed this scene unfold before him. "What is happening? Didn't we eliminate all of them?"
"I don't know; it might be because that thing has awakened and its aura has roused these entities," Bai Yu explained to him.
Wang Niu frowned deeply; if that were true, they would be stuck in an endless cycle until they were exhausted! "Is there any way to directly eliminate these things?"
Bai Yu nodded and pointed at the entity before them. "If we can destroy that thing in front of us, these others will likely disappear too!"
"I understand!" Wang Niu replied determinedly.
With that said, he soared toward the coffin and launched an attack aimed at its teeth! Sparks flew as his strike landed near its mouth; seizing the opportunity while it was distracted, Wang Niu unleashed Emperor Light upon it. The entity exploded into pieces!
Taking a deep breath, Wang Niu turned to Bai Yu and said excitedly, "Look!" He bent down and picked up two teeth from the ground.
"Is this it?"
Bai Yu examined them closely and nodded earnestly. "Yes! These are definitely the two teeth!"
Wang Niu felt elated at this discovery! As they looked around cautiously, Bai Yu suggested they leave quickly despite having just defeated those ghosts; caution was still necessary!
Wang Niu surveyed their surroundings; nothing seemed different about their environment now. Then he sensed something again and nodded at Bai Yu before they prepared to leave this place. However, just as they were about to return to their previous location, Bai Yu stopped him.
"What's wrong?" Wang Niu asked curiously.
"Don't you feel anything?" she replied with concern.
Wang Niu paused for a moment before realizing what she meant: "Are you talking about the Demon King?"
Bai Yu nodded gravely. "Yes! The Demon King has already tracked us here!"
Wang Niu frowned deeply. "If that's true, we need to move quickly; our barrier won't hold much longer!"
Listening to Wang Niu's words made Bai Yu thoughtful; she knew they couldn't hold out for long either but rushing out would only lead them straight into the Demon King's grasp—better to devise a plan!
"Wait! Don't act impulsively!" she cautioned him.
Wang Niu nodded in agreement. After some time passed, Bai Yu seemed to have come up with an idea and said excitedly to Wang Niu: "I have a great plan!"
Wang Niu looked at her curiously as she grinned mischievously. Suddenly two Paper Men appeared in her hands as she took some of her aura from Wang Niu and transferred it onto them along with her own essence too—this made Wang Niu feel even more anxious!
"What are you doing?"
"Do you know how to create illusions?" Bai Yu asked mysteriously.
"I do! What do you mean?"
Bai Yu nodded affirmatively. "Exactly!"
With that said, she blew gently on one of the Dolls which immediately sprang to life like a real person! Wang Niu was astonished; he never expected it would actually work!
The two Dolls approached the Demon King who noticed them right away; they successfully lured him away while Bai Yu urged Wang Niu: "Quickly! Let's go!"
Wang Niu nodded and followed closely behind her! They moved swiftly since Paper Man's duration was limited; soon enough they managed to pull Feng Ju and Xiaomei back!
This left Wang Niu stunned—Feng Ju and Xiaomei looked worse than before!
Xiaomei frowned anxiously: "Forget about that for now; let's get out of here!"
Wang Niu agreed and together they led Feng Ju and Xiaomei away from danger!
"Is it safe here?" After arriving at a new location, Wang Niu scanned their surroundings carefully.
Bai Yu set Xiaomei down gently and reassured him: "It's safe here; don't worry." Then she noticed something in his hand: “What about those two teeth?”
Wang Niu looked down at them thoughtfully before asking: “Should we grind them into powder for them?”
Bai Yu focused on his hands and instructed: “Yes! Grind them into powder and make sure they consume it!”
Nodding resolutely, Wang Niu replied: “Got it!”
Then he remarked with concern: “Why has this Yin Tooth Powder turned black?”
Originally white in color, it had inexplicably transformed into black now—this worried Wang Niu greatly; could something have gone wrong?
