Wang Niu was astonished. This meant that his identity had truly returned. If it had come back, he would no longer have to worry; he could obtain those things now.
Excited and happy, Wang Niu turned to Ruoxi and said, "Ruoxi, my identity has been restored!"
After saying this, Wang Niu deliberately demonstrated it to Ruoxi. Seeing this, Ruoxi felt a surge of joy in her heart.
"That's wonderful! If that's the case, we won't have to worry about those things causing us fatal harm anymore," Ruoxi's expression brightened.
"Yes, Ruoxi, help Feng Ju up. We need to leave here immediately; it's still dangerous. Just now, I sensed a tremendous energy surrounding this place that we cannot contend with," Wang Niu's tone grew serious.
Ruoxi glanced around and seemed to sense something as well. Together with Wang Niu, they lifted Feng Ju. Just as they were about to leave, the ground suddenly shook beneath them. This caused both Ruoxi and Wang Niu to tense up. Ruoxi furrowed her brow and looked at Wang Niu, saying, "Wang Jun, something is coming!"
As soon as she finished speaking, Wang Niu heard a strange sound that made him instantly alert. He looked around and felt a terrifying aura enveloping them. Taking a deep breath, he unleashed the energy of the Heavenly Emperor, transforming their surroundings in an instant. After a moment, Ruoxi stood in shock; where were they now?
They were no longer in the dungeon. Ruoxi was astonished; she hadn't expected Wang Niu's recovery to be so swift that he could change their location.
"Wang Jun, look! This is amazing! You can finally use the energy of the Heavenly Emperor!" Ruoxi exclaimed joyfully.
Hearing Ruoxi's words made Wang Niu feel elated as well. He surveyed their surroundings; it seemed like they were in the human realm.
"Ruoxi, look! It seems like we're in the human realm!" Wang Niu pointed out.
Ruoxi also looked around and confirmed that behind them was indeed not hell but the human world.
"Wang Jun, we need to find a place quickly; Feng Ju's condition is quite unusual," Ruoxi said with concern in her voice.
Wang Niu nodded in agreement and led them toward an abandoned area.
As they approached, a swarm of ants suddenly appeared from a nearby building. These ants were enormous, resembling the size of small children. Ruoxi seemed to realize something and quickly pulled Wang Niu aside, warning him, "Be careful! These ants are not ordinary; they are shrouded in black mist."
Upon hearing Ruoxi's warning, Wang Niu halted and observed the ants closely. She was right; these ants were indeed covered in black mist. Moreover, this mist was different from what they had encountered before—it emanated a strong malevolent energy.
Although Wang Niu's identity had returned, he dared not act recklessly.
The black mist on these ants absorbed energy; if he acted carelessly, his own energy might be drawn away by them.
"Wang Jun, what should we do?" Ruoxi asked anxiously.
Wang Niu shook his head and replied to Ruoxi, "Don't panic. We are surrounded by these ants now; if we make any sudden moves, it could lead to trouble."
Ruoxi was momentarily stunned upon hearing those words. After a while, she felt a chill approaching her.
She stood there, feeling lost and unsure of what to do.
Suddenly, she sensed the strength within her fading away, and her face turned pale with shock. She quickly glanced at Wang Jun, but just as she was about to speak, her body inexplicably began to fall backward at a rapid pace. Wang Niu was taken aback; by the time he regained his senses, Ruoxi had already collapsed to the ground. He hurriedly rushed to help her up, his voice laced with urgency.
"Ruoxi, are you okay?" Wang Niu asked with concern.
Ruoxi shook her head, a pained expression crossing her face. This left Wang Niu in shock; he anxiously touched her face, but she showed no reaction. His heart sank further. Just then, he noticed that the ants surrounding him seemed to have gone mad, all rushing toward him. This sight left Wang Niu frozen in place, filled with an overwhelming sense of dread.
"Ah!" Suddenly, Wang Niu let out a cry of pain as he realized that the ants had latched onto him, causing him great discomfort.
Meanwhile, Ruoxi, who lay on the ground, was also tightly ensnared by the ants. This made Wang Niu's heart race; he couldn't let Ruoxi get hurt. Without hesitation, he began to remove the creatures from her.
In an instant, it felt as though a large hole had opened up within him, and his energy continued to dissipate. He was momentarily stunned when he sensed a massive surge of energy seemingly rushing toward him; however, it wasn't directed at him.
In that fleeting moment, Wang Niu felt this energy replenishing his strength. Before long, he sensed a weight returning to his body. Taking a deep breath, waves of energy surged through him.
Suddenly, a powerful wave erupted from within him, sending the ants around him scattering.
For a brief moment, Wang Niu caught a whiff of something burning, which left him momentarily dazed.
He looked at the ants nearby and saw them enveloped in black mist. Soon after, this mist began to gather together. Wang Niu was taken aback as he noticed the black mist multiplying rapidly and felt it drawing closer to him.
Before long, a large mass of black mist had gathered above his head. In just a moment's time, it formed into a beam of light that slowly extended toward Wang Niu. In an instant, all the black mist was absorbed by him. Surprised by this development, he noticed that the ants around him had vanished. Soon after, his body was filled with energy and the black mist above him disappeared.
Wang Niu was astonished; he turned to look at Ruoxi and saw that her expression had returned to normal.
He gently shook Ruoxi. At that moment, she opened her eyes, causing Wang Niu's heart to skip a beat as he gazed at her.
"Ruoxi, are you okay?" he asked again.
Ruoxi nodded and assured him she was fine.
Just then, something black and strange appeared on Ruoxi's body, looking quite eerie.
Wang Niu jumped back in surprise and exclaimed to Ruoxi, "What is this?"
Ruoxi's face turned pale as she said to Wang Niu, "I’ve been poisoned by those ants earlier."
Wang Niu was taken aback. Could it be that Ruoxi was attacked by those ants just now?
Wang Niu was momentarily stunned. He looked at Ruoxi and wanted to channel energy to her.
However, at that moment, Ruoxi stopped him.
"Wang Jun, no. Your identity has just returned; you need to conserve your strength," Ruoxi's voice was very weak.
This made Wang Niu feel a deep sense of guilt. He said to Ruoxi, "It's fine. I want to help you. Look at yourself; you're covered in black marks. Those aren't good signs."
Ruoxi was momentarily stunned, and then her expression changed drastically.
This made Wang Niu even more anxious. He then exerted more energy towards Ruoxi. In an instant, the black marks on her body began to fade away bit by bit. Ruoxi took a deep breath, but just then, a strange black mist surged towards them.
At this point, Ruoxi had regained her original energy and immediately sensed it. She said to Wang Niu, "Wang Jun, let me handle this."
Then they saw Ruoxi driving away all the black mist.
Before long, the mist dissipated completely.
Ruoxi looked up at the sky, furrowing her brows. She said to Wang Niu, "Wang Jun, we should hurry into the ruined temple. It's too dangerous out here; we can use the temple as a safe circle."
Wang Niu thought Ruoxi's suggestion made sense and nodded in agreement. The two of them brought Feng Ju inside, but soon they felt a strong gust of wind rushing towards them.
Wang Niu and Ruoxi's expressions turned urgent. They quickly created a large circle within the temple, forming a barrier.
The wind that rushed toward them was blocked outside by their circle.
Ruoxi and Wang Niu let out a sigh of relief. Wang Niu sighed again and said to Ruoxi, "Ruoxi, it seems we need to be more cautious from now on."
"Don't worry, I know what I'm doing."
At that moment, a violent cough erupted from Feng Ju, causing Wang Niu to freeze for a moment. Ruoxi also turned her gaze towards Wang Niu. Just then, Wang Niu sensed something and immediately rushed over to Feng Ju.
He picked up Feng Ju and said, "Feng Ju, wake up." As he spoke, Wang Niu seemed to notice something; he looked down and saw that Feng Ju's body felt as cold as ice.
"Ruoxi, what's wrong with Feng Ju?" Wang Niu asked anxiously.
Ruoxi was taken aback for a moment and looked down at the scene on Feng Ju's body. Suddenly, she was astonished, her eyes widening as she exclaimed, "Oh my God, what happened?"
Wang Niu furrowed his brow and replied, "I don't know how this happened; Feng Ju's body just turned like this all of a sudden."
"This is a bad sign. It seems that the Yin Qi in Feng Ju has been drained by those things. To restore Feng Ju's energy, we will need to draw Yin Qi from the Underworld," Ruoxi said, her brow knitted in concern.
Wang Niu was momentarily stunned. He looked at Ruoxi and asked, "Draw Yin Qi? Does this mean we have to go back to the Underworld with Feng Ju? If that's the case, we will be in even greater danger."
Ruoxi sighed and explained to Wang Niu, "No, besides that option, we can transport the Yin Qi from the Underworld using a vessel."
Wang Niu felt a wave of surprise wash over him.
After a while, Wang Niu became excited. He turned to Ruoxi and said, "Did you just say we can use a vessel to transport Yin Qi into Feng Ju's body?"
Ruoxi nodded in response. She walked outside as if checking something. After a moment, she felt a strong wind blowing towards them. The ground beneath them trembled slightly, making Ruoxi feel uneasy. Her gaze remained fixed on the door.
"Be careful, Wang Niu," Ruoxi warned. "Everything here seems off."
Wang Niu was taken aback. He glanced at Feng Ju, his eyes filled with worry as if silently asking Ruoxi what they should do about Feng Ju.
Before Wang Niu could voice his concerns to Ruoxi, she sensed something and looked at Feng Ju. "Wang Jun," she said gently, "don't worry. Just wait a little longer."
Wang Niu felt a deep sense of confusion, but listening to Ruoxi's words, he waited for a moment before they both sat down. His heart was heavy with worry, and eventually, he began to channel something strange into Feng Ju's body.
"Wang Jun, what are you doing?" Ruoxi looked at Wang Niu in shock.
Although saving Feng Ju was imperative, this method seemed questionable.
Suddenly, Wang Niu summoned a giant dragon, and in an instant, the entire dilapidated temple lit up. This left Wang Niu astonished. The dragon then burst through the temple and soared into the sky, startling Wang Niu even more.
"Wang Jun, look!" Ruoxi exclaimed, pointing upwards in amazement.
The moonlight brightened as if it were sunlight, and the dragon within the moon transformed into a bridge. This left Wang Niu in awe as he turned to Ruoxi and said, "Could the dragon be helping us bring Yin Qi from the Underworld?"
Ruoxi nodded thoughtfully at Wang Niu's suggestion.
At that moment, the dragon emitted a terrifying roar, which startled Ruoxi.
"What is that?" Wang Niu asked as he noticed strands of White Mist swirling around the dragon. The mist appeared ethereal, and soon it gathered in abundance around the dragon.
Ruoxi squinted at the dragon and asked, "What is that?"
She shook her head and said, "That might be Yin Qi, but it doesn't quite look like it."
Just after Ruoxi spoke those words, the dragon suddenly surged forward, charging fiercely toward Feng Ju.
Feng Ju's eyes flew open instantly, leaving both Ruoxi and Wang Niu in shock.
"What is this?"
"It's the energy that Feng Ju lost."
Ruoxi's words left Feng Ju even more astonished, but how could the dragon possess Feng Ju's energy?
"What happened?" Wang Niu asked, looking at Ruoxi.
Ruoxi's gaze remained fixed on Wang Niu. He nodded and said, "The energy within Feng Ju has returned; we just need to wait a little longer."
Soon after, Wang Niu noticed that Feng Ju's aura had improved significantly.
After a while, the dragon vanished.
Wang Niu and Ruoxi exchanged glances, and suddenly, Ruoxi seemed to sense something. He turned to Wang Niu and said, "Wang Niu, look! After a bit, Feng Ju has awakened."
Upon hearing Wang Niu's words, Ruoxi felt a surge of surprise in his heart. He pointed out, "Look!"
At that moment, they saw Feng Ju's eyelids flutter before he opened his eyes. Ruoxi was taken aback; Feng Ju was indeed awake.
They quickly lifted Wang Niu up, and in just a moment, Ruoxi saw Feng Ju fully open his eyes.
Feng Ju's expression was one of confusion.
This left her momentarily stunned. Ruoxi looked at Wang Niu and asked, "Wang Jun, what happened to Feng Ju?"
Wang Niu also found it strange; he noticed the bewildered look in Feng Ju's eyes. He tried calling out to him several times, but Feng Ju remained unresponsive.
This left Wang Niu very surprised. Just as he was trying to figure things out, suddenly, Feng Ju opened his eyes wide.
"Ah!" A look of pain crossed Feng Ju's face.
"What happened?"
Wang Niu looked at Ruoxi with confusion.
Ruoxi also wore a puzzled expression. After a while, Feng Ju remained dazed as he watched Ruoxi extend her hand and place it on his mind.
At first, Ruoxi's expression was calm, but as time passed, her demeanor shifted to one of confusion. This made Wang Niu's heart sink with worry. Could it be that something had happened to Feng Ju again?
"Ruoxi, what's wrong?" Wang Niu asked anxiously.
Ruoxi shook her head, looking troubled. She turned to Wang Niu and said, "I just tested Feng Ju's body, and it seems like he is missing a soul."
Wang Niu was taken aback, his face changing dramatically. "What do you mean he's missing a soul? What kind of soul?"
Ruoxi's expression grew serious as she replied, "It's the Main Soul. If the Main Soul is lost, it’s very serious."
"Main Soul?" Wang Niu stared at Ruoxi.
Ruoxi nodded and said, "Yes, it's the Main Soul. Finding it will be quite difficult."
Wang Niu furrowed his brow. No matter what, they had to find Feng Ju's Main Soul.
"Ruoxi, we have to try," Wang Niu said firmly.
Ruoxi nodded in agreement and said, "Yes, let's give it a shot. Please place Feng Ju here."
She pointed to the focal point in the temple.
Wang Niu glanced at it and nodded in response. "Alright, I'll help you."
He then moved Feng Ju to the center.
Next, Ruoxi bit her finger, and in an instant, a blood-formed Bagua diagram appeared around Feng Ju.
"What is this?" Wang Niu was momentarily stunned, a pang of sympathy flashing through him.
"It's nothing; this is related to summoning Feng Ju's Vital Spirit," Ruoxi explained.
Wang Niu approached Ruoxi and placed her finger in the center. This made Ruoxi feel a surge of energy flowing into her finger, leaving her astonished as she looked at Feng Ju in disbelief.
"Wang Jun, what are you doing?" Ruoxi tried to withdraw her hand.
"You lost too much blood just now; if you don't replenish your energy, it won't be good," Wang Niu said to Ruoxi's hand.
Ruoxi wanted to say something more but held back. After a moment, she seemed to sense something and immediately stopped Wang Niu.
"Wang Jun, you can't do that."
Wang Niu was momentarily taken aback, feeling somewhat helpless. He looked at Ruoxi and said, "I can't let you suffer, can I?"
Ruoxi gazed at Wang Niu with clarity. At that moment, a beam of moonlight shone down, causing Wang Niu's heart to skip a beat; the light seemed oddly eerie.
"Wang Jun, wait for me a moment. I need to handle Feng Ju's matter first," Ruoxi said before quickly sitting down in front of Feng Ju. She closed her eyes, and in an instant, a white light appeared in her hands, enveloping the entire room.
Before long, Wang Niu sensed something was off as the room before them transformed into a sea of white light.
"What is happening?" Wang Niu asked in confusion.
"This is the world of the Main Soul. We have entered Feng Ju's Main Soul world," Ruoxi explained to Wang Niu.
Wang Niu paused for a moment, looking around. He noticed many dark shadows emerging around them, which made Ruoxi feel that Feng Ju's Main Soul had arrived.
Ruoxi then said to Wang Niu, "Wang Jun, you need to pay attention. If you see a glowing soul, you must guide it over; that is Feng Ju's Main Soul. Do you understand?"
Wang Niu nodded immediately while scanning the surroundings. At that moment, he felt a chill coming from one particular spot, making him think—could this be what Ruoxi referred to as the Vital Spirit?
