Wang Niu's gaze shifted to another direction, where thick black smoke was billowing up.
After a while, Wang Niu looked over and asked, "Ruoxi, what is going on? And how is this related to Uncle Chen?"
Wang Niu turned to Ruoxi, who wore a troubled expression. For a moment, Ruoxi didn't know how to respond. Just then, the compass in Ruoxi's hand suddenly exploded for some unknown reason. In an instant, wisps of White Mist rose from Ruoxi's hand, leaving him astonished. He glanced at the compass, and his face turned pale. Wang Niu noticed Ruoxi's change in expression and asked with concern, "Ruoxi, what happened?"
Ruoxi looked at Wang Niu, his eyes filled with guilt. Wang Niu's heart sank; could it be that Uncle Chen was really in trouble?
Instinctively, Wang Niu glanced back at the spot he had been observing earlier and saw a transparent shadow suddenly appear. It was the shadow of Uncle Chen.
Wang Niu was momentarily stunned, unable to believe that what he was seeing was real.
"Wang Niu, Uncle Chen is dead," Ruoxi finally said after a long silence.
"What did you say? Uncle Chen is dead?" Wang Niu still looked incredulous.
Ruoxi nodded and confirmed it.
In an instant, Wang Niu felt a wave of despair wash over him; he couldn't accept this reality.
"Why? What happened? Just a few minutes ago, Uncle Chen was still alive!" Wang Niu exclaimed in shock as he stared at Ruoxi.
Ruoxi nodded again and sighed. "You saw that transparent shadow; that is Uncle Chen's spirit. Someone who took Uncle Chen must have discovered something, which is why this happened."
Wang Niu felt as if all the energy had been drained from his body. He stood there in disbelief and shook his head. "No, this... this can't be true."
Ruoxi looked at him with a sad expression, feeling a deep ache in her heart. She gently patted Wang Niu's shoulder and said, "Don't be sad. Uncle Chen will be fine."
Wang Niu turned to Ruoxi and saw a glimmer of concern in her eyes. Suddenly, something warm surged within him.
Regarding Uncle Chen's death, Wang Niu still felt a sense of unwillingness. He asked Ruoxi, "Ruoxi, is there really no way to bring Uncle Chen back to life?"
Ruoxi paused for a moment, seemingly lost in thought. After a while, she lifted her head and looked at Wang Niu. "There is a way, but it's a bit difficult."
This left Wang Niu momentarily stunned, but no matter how hard it was, he would do anything to save Uncle Chen.
Wang Niu nodded and said to Ruoxi, "It's okay, Ruoxi. Just tell me what it is. No matter how difficult, I will save Uncle Chen."
Ruoxi replied with an affirmative sound, "To save Uncle Chen, we first need to find his body. After that, we must go to the Underworld to retrieve Uncle Chen's spirit."
Wang Niu nodded again and looked toward the place they had just been talking about. He asked Ruoxi, "Ruoxi, is Uncle Chen's body over there?"
Ruoxi glanced at the spot Wang Niu pointed to and shook her head. "Not necessarily. We still need the Earth God’s help to find Uncle Chen's body."
"The Earth God?" Wang Niu was momentarily taken aback, looking at Ruoxi in surprise.
Ruoxi nodded and said to Wang Niu, "Yes, just wait for me a moment."
Then, a talisman appeared in Ruoxi's hand. The sight of the talisman left Wang Niu stunned; he felt like he had seen it somewhere before.
Afterward, Ruoxi seemed to do something with the talisman, and suddenly it exploded. This left Wang Niu in shock. At that moment, a white mist appeared in Ruoxi's hand. She threw the mist onto the ground, and instantly, huge sparks erupted from the ground. Wang Niu was once again taken aback. When the sparks settled down, he saw an old man standing there.
The old man's gaze fell upon Wang Niu and Ruoxi, revealing a hint of surprise in his eyes.
"Sky" didn't wait for the old man to finish; his words were interrupted by Ruoxi.
"Alright, no need to say anything else. Do you know where Uncle Chen's body is?" Ruoxi coldly stared at him.
The Earth God was taken aback for a moment, then thought for a while and said, "I need to check on that."
After saying this, the Earth God took out a Lotus Lantern. The lantern then rose up and floated off into the distance, disappearing after a short while.
This left Ruoxi somewhat puzzled. After a moment, the Earth God looked at them and said, "I've found the person you're looking for. His body is in Falling River."
Upon hearing this, Ruoxi was stunned. "What did you say? The body is in Falling River?"
The Earth God was startled by Ruoxi's excited tone and nodded in response. Ruoxi sighed and said to Wang Niu, "We might be in trouble. Falling River is a very dangerous place."
Wang Niu was momentarily confused, unsure of what kind of place Falling River was.
"Ruoxi, what kind of place is Falling River?"
After hearing his question, Ruoxi fell silent for a moment before replying, "Falling River is a place that gods and demons alike fear because everything there is terrifying. There's no way to enter the water; anyone who touches the water of Falling River turns into bones."
Wang Niu was instantly alarmed by Ruoxi's words, his expression becoming serious.
"Then should we still go rescue Uncle Chen?" Wang Niu asked Ruoxi with uncertainty. It wasn't that he didn't want to save Uncle Chen; he was worried about their safety. While trying to save someone, they also needed to ensure their own safety.
Ruoxi nodded, her expression becoming profound. After a while, she looked at Wang Niu and said, "We need to rescue him, but we have to ask someone first—the Guardian of the River. This person is a bit difficult to approach."
Wang Niu looked at Ruoxi in surprise. "Is there really a Guardian Deity here?"
"Ruoxi, who is this Guardian of the River?"
Ruoxi replied, "It's a child, but don't underestimate this child; their cultivation is quite impressive."

Ruoxi paused for a moment before understanding Wang Niu's concern. She nodded and said, "We haven't come to the wrong place; it's right here. Look, that's the Guardian of the River!"
Ruoxi pointed to a spot where Wang Niu saw a small child sitting on a swing, happily playing.
Wang Niu was momentarily stunned; the child looked no older than three years old.
"That's the Guardian of the River?" Wang Niu thought he would never believe it.
"Yes, that's him, the Guardian of the River," Ruoxi nodded.
Wang Niu was stunned; how could such a small child be the Guardian Deity? It was truly a case of someone being more popular than the dead.
"Ruoxi, how are we going to get this child to help us?" Wang Niu said, feeling a headache coming on. He had no idea how to deal with a little kid.
"There is a way, it's just—"
Just as Ruoxi was about to speak, the child sitting on the swing suddenly looked at them. The child frowned, clearly unhappy. Ruoxi's expression changed dramatically as he turned to Wang Niu and said, "Oh no, the Guardian of the River seems upset."
Wang Niu was taken aback and quickly asked Ruoxi what they should do. After thinking for a moment, Ruoxi suggested, "You should try to cheer him up and play with him."
Wang Niu was speechless.
At that moment, the child flew over and landed right in front of Wang Niu, looking displeased. "Why do you look so ugly?" the child said.
Wang Niu's mouth twitched in irritation; he was extremely angry inside. Suddenly, the child turned to Ruoxi.
"Sister, will you play with me? I know why you came here. If you can make me happy, I'll help you. How about that?" the child said to Ruoxi.
Both Ruoxi and Wang Niu were astonished. How did this little kid know?
"Um..."
"Okay, but sister can't play with you; how about this brother plays with you instead?" Ruoxi said as she pushed Wang Niu forward.
The child looked at Wang Niu with disdain.
Wang Niu felt quite frustrated. He wasn't exactly unattractive, so why was this child looking down on him?
"Alright, fine, but..." A mischievous smile appeared on the child's face.
This made Wang Niu's heart tremble for a moment. Why did he have the feeling that something bad was about to happen? Just as he was lost in thought, the child suddenly pulled him up. In an instant, Wang Niu found himself suspended in mid-air, and his heart raced at the thought of falling and shattering into pieces.
"Hey, don't let go!" Wang Niu silently pleaded with the child.
The child seemed to hear him and looked at him with disdain. "You're such a coward. You think someone like you can go to Falling River? That's just laughable."
With that, the child took Wang Niu to a very high peak.
"What... what is this for?" As soon as he was set down, Wang Niu felt his legs weaken.
"Are you really this timid?" The child looked at Wang Niu with utter contempt.
Wang Niu felt a surge of anger rise within him at the child's words. He glared fiercely at the child. What was so special about the Guardian of the River anyway?
"Hey, are you going to sit or not?" The child pointed to a nearby swing and asked Wang Niu.
Wang Niu paused for a moment and glanced over. It looked like some sort of roller coaster.
He instinctively looked down; the peak was incredibly high, and one misstep would surely lead to a fall.
Seeing that Wang Niu was hesitating, the child looked at him with even more disdain. Was he really this slow?
"Why don't you just jump?" The child pushed Wang Niu off without warning.
"Ah!" Wang Niu was stunned by the sudden action; this child had a ruthless side.
"You... how could you be so cruel?" he shouted angrily at the child.
The child rolled his eyes and sat down next to Wang Niu. He glanced at him with an expression of indifference, making Wang Niu feel embarrassed. Was he really being outdone by a child?
"You talk too much," the child said, looking at Wang Niu with disdain.
Wang Niu awkwardly looked at the child.
"Alright, I'll keep quiet."
As soon as he finished speaking, Wang Niu suddenly felt like he was about to fly.
"Ah!" Oh my God, riding this roller coaster made him want to cry. Why did it feel so nauseating?
"Shut up, you're driving me crazy!"
The child said angrily, "You're such a big person, and you're still scared? Are you even a man?"
The child's words completely infuriated Wang Niu. How could he not be a man?
"What are you talking about? It's just a roller coaster; I can handle it!" Wang Niu instantly mustered his courage.
After saying that, Wang Niu regretted it completely as another scream escaped his lips.
He had no idea how long it took, but he finally survived the terrifying roller coaster ride.
As soon as it stopped, Wang Niu collapsed on the ground, his face pale with fear.
"Wang Niu, are you okay?" Ruoxi hurried over and helped him up.
Wang Niu felt a bit better and said to Ruoxi, "I'm fine. That thing is really scary."
Ruoxi looked at him with concern. At that moment, a child walked up beside Ruoxi and said to Wang Niu, "With just this little thing, you managed to end up like this? You're really useless."
Wang Niu was already feeling angry, and hearing the child say that only fueled his irritation.
He replied to the child, "Since you say that, then I'll challenge you again."
With that, Wang Niu pointed to another area and asked the child, "Do you dare to compete with me on that?"
The child paused for a moment, then looked over and said, "Is that it? That's a piece of cake."
Ruoxi also glanced over and saw a very large Shaking Blue set up in that direction.
Feeling worried, Ruoxi turned to Wang Niu and said, "Wang Niu, maybe you shouldn't go over there. If you do, you might not be able to handle it."
"It's fine, Ruoxi. Just wait for me," Wang Niu replied confidently before charging over. The child quickly hopped onto the Rocking Car; he couldn't let Wang Niu beat him.
"Let's get started!"
As soon as the child's voice fell, the Rocking Car they were on began to shake violently. In an instant, Wang Niu felt his insides tremble.
"Ah!"
He was truly uncomfortable. For a moment, Wang Niu regretted boasting earlier; if he had known, he wouldn't have made such a claim.
"How's it going? Feeling uncomfortable?" The child couldn't help but tease Wang Niu.
"No," Wang Niu gritted his teeth and responded despite the discomfort inside him.
Seeing Wang Niu's unbothered demeanor, the child burst into laughter.
After a while, the Rocking Car came to a stop. Wang Niu let out a deep sigh of relief; he had just been feeling quite uncomfortable.
"Are you okay?" The child, noticing Wang Niu's distressed expression, couldn't help but show concern for him.
"I'm fine," Wang Niu thought bitterly about the child.
"Mm."
Suddenly, the child stood up. Around them, dark mist began to swirl, quickly enveloping them. Wang Niu was momentarily stunned, looking at Ruoxi with confusion, as if asking her what was happening. Ruoxi glanced at Wang Niu and then at the child, who nodded at her.
Ruoxi's face lit up with joy as she explained to Wang Niu, "It's like this: the Guardian of the River has promised to follow us to Falling River and help us solve our problems."
Hearing this, Wang Niu felt a wave of happiness wash over him; finally, everything he had endured seemed to be turning around.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Ruoxi asked when she noticed that Wang Niu still looked a bit unwell.
Wang Niu shook his head at Ruoxi, indicating that he was fine.
Just after he finished speaking, they were plunged into darkness. When they next saw light, they found themselves on Falling River.
"Where is this?" Wang Niu asked as he surveyed the surroundings and turned to Ruoxi.
The child beside him looked at Wang Niu with disdain. "You don't even know where this is?"
"I..."
Ruoxi saw Wang Niu's distressed expression and quickly intervened, saying, "It's alright."
The child stopped teasing Wang Niu and, with a serious look, turned to Ruoxi and asked, "What do you want me to help you with?"
Ruoxi's gaze shifted to the Falling River. She pointed to the middle of the river and said, "Right there, in the center, there's a body. Can you help us retrieve it?"
The child's eyes followed her gesture to the center of the river, where a body lay floating. With a nod, the child immediately jumped into the Falling River.
Wang Niu approached, worry etched on her face as she looked at Ruoxi. "Can he do it?"
Ruoxi nodded reassuringly and replied, "He can. Trust him."
After a while, there was still no sign of the child, which made Wang Niu increasingly anxious. Then King turned to Ruoxi and asked, "Do you think something happened?"
Ruoxi responded, "No, it might just be difficult to bring the body up."
As they spoke, suddenly splashes erupted from the water, indicating some movement. Wang Niu's heart leaped as she looked toward the surface of the river and saw a body emerging.
Wang Niu was momentarily stunned when she recognized the body—it was Uncle Chen!
"Ruoxi, look! That's Uncle Chen's body!"
Ruoxi glanced over and confirmed it was indeed Uncle Chen's lifeless form. She nodded at Wang Niu, and soon after, the child flew back toward them with Uncle Chen's body in tow.
"This is the body you wanted," the child said as he placed it before them.
Upon seeing Uncle Chen's body, Wang Niu felt a shudder run through her; an overwhelming sense of grief washed over her.
"Uncle Chen!"
"Alright, Uncle Chen isn't really dead, so don't be sad," Ruoxi said to Wang Niu.
Wang Niu nodded and looked at Ruoxi. At that moment, the child's gaze fell on Uncle Chen's body, and their expression grew increasingly grim.
"What are you going to do with this corpse?"
Ruoxi was taken aback and didn't respond. The child then turned to Wang Niu, who understood Ruoxi's meaning and also remained silent.
The child looked at them cautiously and said, "I have no ill intentions. I just want to tell you that this corpse is no longer useful."
As soon as the child's words fell, Ruoxi and Wang Niu were stunned, staring at the child in disbelief. "What do you mean by that?"
Seeing their expectant expressions, the child hesitated to reveal the truth.
Ruoxi and Wang Niu grew anxious at the child's silence.
"Please, just tell us!"
Reluctantly, the child spoke up, "What I mean is, there are no lingering spirits in this corpse."
"What did you say? That's impossible!" Ruoxi became very unsettled.
The child continued, "I'm not lying. This corpse really has no lingering spirit. The moment he died, his spirit was destroyed by someone. The person who harmed this body has a very dark heart."
In an instant, Wang Niu felt as if struck by lightning.
"This... how can this be?" Wang Niu couldn't believe it.
"Are you sure you're not mistaken?" Even Ruoxi couldn't help but question the child.
The child's face showed uncertainty as he looked at Ruoxi and said, "Sister, if I'm lying, just look at the corpse's abdomen and you'll understand."
Ruoxi froze for a moment, as if recalling something unpleasant. She immediately paused and began to remove the clothing from the corpse.
A very red line appeared on the body.
In an instant, Ruoxi rushed down from the second floor, her face filled with distress.
"Ruoxi, what's wrong with you?" Wang Niu asked, feeling a shiver run through him at the sight of her expression.
Ruoxi shook her head at Wang Niu and said, "I... I'm fine, Wang Niu. Uncle Chen might really not come back."
