"Are we going now?" Feng Ju asked me.
I nodded and transformed back to my previous appearance, then left with Feng Ju.
Upon arriving at the territory of the Spirit Mouse Demon, Feng Ju and I intended to approach and gather some information. However, we noticed that there was already some activity within the Spirit Mouse Demon's domain.
"Wang Jun, what is that?" Feng Ju pointed at a cloud of black smoke rising in front of us.
Looking at the billowing smoke, I realized that the Spirit Mouse Demons were on the move, likely aware of the situation with the Mole Demon.
"Wang Jun, what do you think they are doing?" Feng Ju asked me.
I pondered for a moment, just as a pair of figures approached from another direction. They appeared to be Rat Demons as well.
"Let's wait and see what these Rat Demons are up to," I said, and with that, Feng Ju and I concealed ourselves.
Before long, the two groups converged.
"Spirit Mouse."
"White Mouse."
I watched as the two Rat Demons greeted each other.
"Have you heard about the Mole Demon?" the Spirit Mouse Demon asked the White Mouse Demon.
"Yes, I've heard about it, but I think there's something suspicious about this matter."
"You mean it might not be the Seductress's doing?"
The White Mouse Demon shook his head. "It's not that straightforward. I just feel that the Seductress wouldn't kill the Mole Demon at this time. She still needs to rely on the Mole Demon's power. What could her motive be? That's what puzzles me the most."
"What does it matter? Perhaps it's just the Seductress seeking revenge. Think about it, the Seductress must be furious seeing the Mole Demon making things difficult for her in front of so many," the Spirit Mouse Demon explained to the White Mouse Demon.
The White Mouse Demon pondered for a moment, seeming to find some sense in what the Mole Demon had said, and nodded in agreement, saying, "Hmm."
Then, the two pairs of individuals entered the cave. Feng Ju turned to me and asked, "Wang Jun, are we going in?"
I considered it for a moment, weighing the pros and cons, and replied to Feng Ju, "Yes, this could be very beneficial for our plans of persuasion."
Feng Ju looked taken aback, seemingly not understanding my words, and asked, "What do you mean?"
I proceeded to explain to Feng Ju. Upon hearing my explanation, a smile appeared on her face.
As Feng Ju and I approached the entrance of the cave where the Spirit Mouse Demon was, several guards happened to walk out.
"Who are you? How dare you trespass here!" The demons raised their weapons at us.
Feng Ju and I feigned panic on our faces and said to them, "Please don't kill us! We were sent here by the Seductress King!"
The Little Demons were momentarily stunned before they went inside to fetch the Spirit Mouse Demon.
After a while, the Little Demons invited me and Feng Ju inside.
The Spirit Mouse Demon and White Mouse Demon were seated and watching us. Upon seeing us, their expressions turned complex and cautious.
"White Mouse Demon, you can leave now," I said calmly to her.
Hearing my words, the White Mouse Demon was taken aback, her expression shifting instantly. "What do you mean? A mere little demon has such audacity!"
The look in the eyes of the Spirit Mouse Demon was equally surprised.
"Well, what do you think? I am one of the Seductress King's people. Are you trying to oppose the Seductress King?"
The face of the White Mouse Demon darkened instantly. Just as he was about to speak, he was pulled back by the Spirit Mouse Demon beside him.
"You should leave first."
The White Mouse Demon looked at the Spirit Mouse Demon in surprise. He wanted to say something, but out of respect for the Spirit Mouse Demon, he had no choice but to step back.
I glanced at the disappearing figure of the White Mouse Demon and shifted my gaze to the Spirit Mouse Demon. "I'm here to collaborate with you."
The Spirit Mouse Demon froze for a moment, confusion filling his eyes. "What do you mean by collaboration? Didn't the Seductress already mention this at the banquet? Why are you still here?"
I smiled lightly and walked toward the Spirit Mouse Demon. It seemed that the Spirit Mouse Demon sensed something and took a few steps back.
"W-What do you want?" Fear appeared in the expression of the Spirit Mouse Demon.
"I heard that you demons are secretly planning to kill the Seductress King, right?"
Upon hearing this, the Spirit Mouse Demon's face changed dramatically. Just as he was about to leave, I held him down, revealing a dagger in my hand.
The Spirit Mouse Demon’s eyes widened in shock. He suddenly shouted, "Help! Someone help me!"
"Quickly kill him!"
I raised the knife in my hand and stabbed fiercely at the Spirit Mouse Demon, who let out a pitiful scream.
Seeing that it was almost done, I exchanged a glance with Feng Ju, signaling that we were ready to leave. Just then, the White Mouse Demon reappeared.
His gaze fell upon the bloodied form of the Spirit Mouse Demon.
"Help me! They want to kill me!"
When Feng Ju and I saw that the time had come, we disappeared.
In truth, we did not vanish; we had become invisible, wanting to observe what the White Mouse Demon and Spirit Mouse Demon would plan in their final moments.
After we left, the White Mouse Demon did not pursue us but instead helped the Spirit Mouse Demon to his feet and began to heal him.
"How could things have turned out like this?" the White Mouse Demon said to the Spirit Mouse Demon.
"I don't know, but that Seductress is truly ruthless," a glint of malice flashed in the Spirit Mouse Demon's eyes.
"You mean it was the Seductress who sent someone to kill you?"
The Spirit Mouse Demon nodded with certainty and replied, "Yes, it was her."
Upon hearing this, a look of conflict crossed the White Mouse Demon's face, as if he were deep in thought. After a moment, he said to the Spirit Mouse Demon, "Since that Seductress has acted so unscrupulously, we shouldn't hold back either."
"What do you mean?"
"We should quickly unite with other clans to take her down."
"This..." The Spirit Mouse Demon hesitated, seemingly worried about something.
"What are you still hesitating for? Don't forget how that Seductress treated you just now," the White Mouse Demon urged.
After hearing this from the White Mouse Demon, the Spirit Mouse Demon seemed to gather his resolve and said, "Alright, since you say so, I will join you in dealing with the Seductress. She must pay for what she has done."
"Exactly, you're right."
After listening to their conversation, Feng Ju and I left that place.
"Have you recorded everything in the mirror?" I asked Feng Ju.
Feng Ju glanced at me and took out the mirror from his arms to show me.
I nodded in satisfaction, and then Feng Ju and I hurried toward the Seductress's residence.
Upon entering, Feng Ju tugged at me, a hint of worry on her face. "Do you think the Seductress will suspect us?"
I shook my head. Just then, a woman approached, her face showing a trace of panic.
Feng Ju and I immediately sensed something was off and stopped the woman.
"Where are you going?"
The woman paused upon seeing us and replied, "I'm going to fetch blood for the king. It seems there's been another problem."
Feng Ju and I frowned at each other and turned to the Seductress. "Are you saying the king is in trouble?"
The woman nodded and then hurried away.
Exchanging glances, Feng Ju and I strode purposefully toward the direction where the Seductress resided.
As soon as we arrived at her place, we heard the Seductress's anguished cries.
I quickly approached her. "My lady, what happened?"
Upon seeing us, the Seductress's eyes lit up with hope. "Help me, I—"
Suddenly, her expression darkened significantly.
This change made Feng Ju and me reconsider our plans. Although we didn't understand why the Seductress looked this way, it wasn't the right moment for us to act.
Still, I decided to help the Seductress.
Once I infused her with my celestial energy, she instantly appeared much better.
Her complexion gradually improved.
"You are truly my trusted confidants," the Seductress said, looking at us.
I immediately put on a flattering expression and said to the Seductress, "It's only natural; you are our great queen."
The Seductress was pleased with my words, and then, as if remembering something, she asked me and Feng Ju, "But how did you end up here?"
I replied calmly, "Great Queen, we have encountered a new situation."
Upon hearing this, the expression on the Seductress's face changed immediately. She asked, "What situation? Is it related to those tree demons?"
Feng Ju and I exchanged knowing glances and nodded in agreement. We said to the Seductress, "Great Queen, we have something to show you."
The Seductress looked at us with curiosity as Feng Ju took out the mirror from earlier. The Seductress seemed to understand and directly took the mirror from Feng Ju's hands.
