After a while, the Seductress angrily threw the mirror in her hand to the ground, her face trembling with rage.
"My lord," I cautiously called out to the Seductress.
Hearing my voice, the anger on her face slowly faded. She lightly responded, "What is it?"
I feigned concern for the Seductress and said, "Since they have already been rude to us, we must not be polite to them, my lord. Let’s proceed as I suggested earlier."
This time, the Seductress did not hesitate and agreed immediately.
"However, you must pay attention to one thing: do not expose yourselves. If you do, we will be in trouble," the Seductress said seriously.
Feng Ju and I nodded quickly and replied, "Understood. Please rest assured, my lord."
The Seductress nodded in satisfaction and said, "If you succeed in this matter, I will certainly reward you well."
"Got it. Don't worry, my lord," I immediately replied to the Seductress.
"Yes, we will not let you down."
"However, there is one thing you need to be cautious about." After saying this, the Seductress suddenly began to circle around us, leaving both Feng Ju and me puzzled about what was happening with her.
"My lord, what is wrong?" I asked, looking at the Seductress with confusion.
"It's inconvenient for you to use your female forms. Let me help you change into male forms," the Seductress said to me.
I nodded, and the Seductress cast a spell on us. In no time at all, we transformed into male figures.
In truth, we could have changed ourselves, but that would have drawn the Seductress's attention.
After we finished, we bid farewell to the Seductress and left the cave. As we stepped outside, dawn had already broken, and the appearance of the tavern slowly came into view.
"Wang Jun, it seems there are still issues here. Look, the tavern has reappeared," Feng Ju said to me.
I nodded, pondering the situation. Noticing my contemplation, Feng Ju asked, "Wang Jun, have you thought of a solution?"
I nodded again. "The first place we need to go is that demon's residence."
Feng Ju was taken aback for a moment before responding, "You mean the first demon who spoke with the Seductress?"
I nodded and explained to Feng Ju, "Think about it. If those demons see that one has encountered trouble, what would they think?"
Upon hearing my words, Feng Ju's eyes lit up with excitement as she exclaimed, "They would definitely suspect it was the Seductress!"
I acknowledged her response and led Feng Ju to the demon's residence.
These demons shared a common trait: they liked to build their homes underground on hillsides.
"Look, these holes are the entrances," I pointed at several large openings in front of us and said to Feng Ju.
"Wang Jun, how should we get inside?"
Just as I was about to reply to Feng Ju, a voice emerged from behind us, as if someone was approaching.
Feng Ju and I immediately turned around to find two Rat Demons standing behind us.
"Who are you?"
"We are from the Charming King," I said calmly to the Rat Demons.
"What are you doing here?" The two Rat Demons softened their tone after hearing my words.
"We're here to discuss something important with your king."
The two Rat Demons looked at us suspiciously before leading us inside.
"You wait here. We need to report to the king," one of them instructed.
"Understood."
Once the two Rat Demons left, Feng Ju and I began to observe our surroundings. This place was quite different from where the Seductress resided; it appeared very small and was extremely dirty, with an unpleasant odor lingering in the air.
"Wang Jun, it stinks in here," Feng Ju remarked.
I nodded in agreement, and at that moment, I heard footsteps approaching, signaling Feng Ju to remain silent.
A few seconds later, a demon appeared before us, and we recognized him as the Mole Demon.
"You are from the Seductress. What brings you here?" The Mole Demon took a seat at the head of the table and addressed us.
"Yes, we are here to inform the king about something."
"What is going on?" the Mole Demon asked, a look of confusion on his face.
I exchanged a glance with Feng Ju, who pulled out a mirror from his pocket and handed it to the Mole Demon. The Mole Demon looked at us with bewilderment and said, "What does this mean?"
"My lord, you'll understand once you take a look," I replied.
The Mole Demon glanced at us suspiciously before turning his attention to the mirror in his hands. After a moment, his expression shifted to one of distress.
"What does this mean?"
"What do you mean? Didn't you already know? Why ask us?"
The confusion on the Mole Demon's face deepened into surprise as he exclaimed, "Aren't you people from the Seductress? Why would you tell me this?"
"This is a long story. We have a deep-seated grudge against the Seductress, one that cannot be ignored. That's why we came to you, hoping for your cooperation," I explained.
The Mole Demon narrowed his shrewd eyes and asked, "Why should I trust you?"
I smiled lightly. "My lord, if you don't trust us, then there's only one path ahead—death. The Seductress already knows that you've turned against her. What do you think she will do in response?"
Upon hearing this, the Mole Demon trembled slightly, fear flashing across his face before he regained his composure.
"Since the Seductress wants to kill me, it won't be an easy task. There are other demon clans as well," he said confidently.
Feng Ju stepped forward and took the mirror from the Mole Demon's hands. He looked him in the eye and said, "Doesn't my lord realize? The Seductress has already begun bribing various clans. What do you think those demons will do under the temptation of profit?"
Upon hearing the words "Mole Demon," his face turned pale. "This Seductress is too much; I never expected her to be so ruthless."
Feng Ju and I exchanged glances before addressing the Mole Demon. "What do you think?"
In the end, the Mole Demon conceded, saying, "What do you plan to do?"
"We already have a plan, but we need a token from the king, the Demon Order," I replied.
As soon as the Mole Demon heard those two words, his expression changed dramatically. He said to us, "That's not possible."
"How did you know about the Demon Order?" he asked.
"Your Majesty, since we can show you those things, perhaps we have some capabilities. If you are unwilling to part with it, we will have to seek cooperation with others. If that happens and you end up getting killed, it won't be our fault," I warned.
"But how can I trust you? You know that the Demon Order is of great importance to me."
Seeing the Mole Demon’s reaction, I turned to Feng Ju and said, "Let's go. Since the king doesn't trust us, there's no need for us to continue this conversation."
"Alright."
As Feng Ju and I pretended to leave, the Mole Demon suddenly became anxious and hurriedly blocked our way.
"I believe you," he said as he pulled out the Demon Order from within himself.
The reason the Mole Demon valued the Demon Order so highly was that it commanded the power he wielded; without it, he would no longer be the king.
Before long, a token appeared in the Mole Demon's hand.
"Here you go."
I took the Demon Order from the Mole Demon, and upon receiving it, my expression changed.
"You can die now."
The Mole Demon paused for a moment, looking confused at my words. "What are you talking about?"
A cruel smile appeared on my face as a knife materialized in my hand. I then plunged the knife deep into the Mole Demon.
"Ah, you... you all!" The Mole Demon's face showed a hint of terror.
"We? What about us? We were just fooling you. Who told you to embarrass our king in front of those monsters?"
"Exactly, you're really foolish."
With that, Feng Ju stabbed the Mole Demon again.
Soon, the Mole Demon's face turned pale; it was clear that it was done for.
In no time, the Mole Demon lay dead on the ground.
"Wang Jun, what should we do next?" Feng Ju asked, looking at the lifeless body of the Mole Demon.
I calmly tossed the Demon Order onto the Mole Demon's body and then transformed into its form.
Feng Ju understood my intention and followed suit.
"Something's wrong! The king has been killed!" I shouted loudly.
Seeing this, Feng Ju joined in my cries. Upon hearing our voices, the other creatures quickly began to shout as well, their eyes wide with shock at the sight of their fallen king.
