"Humph, let's go," said the Celestial Child, as he gathered his group and left.
"This Celestial Child is really unreasonable," Feng Ju shook his head, looking quite disappointed. He had thought the Celestial Child would behave differently.
I chuckled lightly. "If he weren't like this, how could he have stolen all of Taishang Laojun's elixirs and escaped from the heavens to the mortal realm?"
Upon hearing my words, Feng Ju nodded, seeming to agree with my reasoning. He looked at me and said, "Yes, what you said makes sense."
I acknowledged him with a sound and began to help Feng Ju pack up our stall. After all, these catches could still be used; we just needed to clean them up before returning.
As we were tidying up, we heard the voice of the Imperial Child behind us. "Grandpa, Second Grandpa, what happened? Why is our stall like this? Did those bullies come to bother you again?"
Feng Ju and I paused our work and exchanged knowing glances before turning to the Imperial Child. "Yes, those bullies are quite strong; we couldn't do much about them."
Upon hearing my words, tears streamed down the Imperial Child's face. "Grandpa, Second Grandpa, I'm so sorry! It's my fault for being useless and not being able to protect you."
"Alright now, neither Grandpa nor Second Grandpa blames you. You need to be good, understand?" I comforted the Imperial Child.
"Yes, it's all those bullies' fault; it has nothing to do with you," Feng Ju added in support.
Suddenly, the Imperial Child broke free from our hands and ran down the path behind us.
Feng Ju and I exchanged glances immediately and followed after the Imperial Child. It seemed that the pent-up anger had finally erupted.
"Wang Jun, where is this Imperial Child going?" Feng Ju asked me in confusion.
I glanced at the figure of the Imperial Child and replied to Feng Ju, "I believe he is going to seek revenge for us."
Feng Ju looked surprised at my words. "You mean this Imperial Child is going to confront the Celestial Child? But this Imperial Child has no Divine Power at all; won't he just get beaten up?"
I nodded and explained, "He needs to endure a few beatings first; only then can he break through the shackles on his body. That way, he can truly become the Imperial Child."
Feng Ju's eyes lit up as he exclaimed, "I understand now!"
I followed Feng Ju and the Imperial Child to the entrance of Li Manor.
As I stood before Li Manor, a wave of complex emotions surged within me. My Ruoxi, oh, it had been so long since we last met. I wondered how she had been in this place.
"Open the door, hurry up!" the Imperial Child knocked anxiously on the large door of Li Manor.
Before long, the door slowly creaked open.
For some reason, my heart felt suspended, as if drawn by a familiar presence—it must be Ruoxi.
Sure enough, a familiar figure appeared at the doorway, and it was none other than Ruoxi herself.
Seeing her made me impulsive; I couldn't help but want to rush over and hold her in my arms.
"Wang Jun, what are you doing? Don't be impulsive!" Feng Ju exclaimed, momentarily taken aback before quickly stopping me.
Feeling a bit embarrassed, I smiled and replied to Feng Ju, "I understand."
Once Ruoxi stepped out, she seemed to sense something as her gaze shifted toward me and Feng Ju. In that instant, our eyes met.
"Wang Jun, look! Ruoxi is looking at us," Feng Ju pointed out, noticing Ruoxi's attention on us.
I nodded, unable to contain my joy both inside and on my face.
"Why are you doing this?" The Imperial Child paused upon seeing Ruoxi, a strange expression crossing his face before it quickly vanished.
"What’s wrong, little one? What are you doing?" Ruoxi asked curiously as she looked at the Imperial Child before her.
Deep down, Ruoxi already knew that the person standing in front of her was the Imperial Child.
"Hmph! The people from your manor are truly despicable! They smashed my father's things! You are really too much!" the Imperial Child said angrily.
Ruoxi was momentarily stunned but seemed to grasp our purpose for being there. She smiled and replied, "Little one, I think you've mistaken us. No one from our family would do such a thing."
Imperial Child seemed unconvinced and pushed past Ruoxi to barge in. Ruoxi looked at us with a helpless expression.
After we emerged from the shadows, we approached Ruoxi.
With a sigh, Ruoxi said, "Isn't Imperial Child a bit too hot-tempered?"
I replied, "It's not just temper; this is something we've been trying to suppress in Imperial Child. It seems that once Imperial Child reaches a certain threshold, they can't hold it back anymore. This outburst might not be such a bad thing for Imperial Child, so don't worry."
Ruoxi nodded. At that moment, we heard sounds of commotion from inside.
"This isn't good; Imperial Child might be fighting with Celestial Child. Celestial Child has become increasingly unruly and impossible to manage."
Hearing this from Ruoxi, I felt a pang of sympathy for her.
"Have you been through a lot?" I asked Ruoxi.
She nodded, looking resigned. I gently pulled her into an embrace and said, "If you're too tired, you can go back to the heavens and wait for me. I'll resolve things quickly."
Ruoxi shook her head and said, "No, I won't leave."
"That's right, Wang Jun. How could Miss Ruoxi bear to leave you? Oh, I'm so unfortunate; ever since Xiaomei had a child, she hasn't even glanced my way," Feng Ju lamented, his face filled with despair.
My heart skipped a beat as I looked at Ruoxi. "If we have a child, will you ignore me?"
Upon hearing this, Ruoxi froze for a moment, looking at me in confusion.
Suddenly, Feng Ju burst into laughter.
Feeling embarrassed by Feng Ju's reaction, Ruoxi said, "Alright, if we keep talking like this, Celestial Child and Imperial Child are going to get into serious trouble. Although Celestial Child hasn't regained their previous strength yet, they were trained very well by the master summoned by Lord Li. Meanwhile, Imperial Child has had no training at all and will definitely suffer."
We didn't dare delay any longer and went inside. Sure enough, as soon as we entered, we saw Imperial Child knocked to the ground by Celestial Child.
"Hah! You worthless fool! Still here causing trouble? Watch me beat you to death! Your two daddies are afraid of me; they sent me the Greedy Beast. They offended me before, and this is the punishment they deserve. Get lost now! If you don't leave, I'll ruin you!"
Although the Imperial Child was knocked to the ground by the Celestial Child, the Imperial Aura surrounding him did not diminish; in fact, it seemed to intensify.
"Wang Jun, what's happening? Is the aura of the Imperial Child about to explode?" Ruoxi's face showed a hint of excitement.
"Yes, it looks like it might be an explosion," Feng Ju replied.
At that moment, a faint trace of celestial energy seemed to seep out from the Imperial Child. I furrowed my brows; was it happening this quickly? This seemed beyond my expectations, and I couldn't tell if it was a good thing or not.
Seeing that I remained silent, Ruoxi and Feng Ju also chose not to speak further and continued watching intently.
The Celestial Child looked at the Imperial Child rising from the ground and appeared even angrier. He launched another attack against the Imperial Child. In an instant, the Celestial Child charged at him. Although there was no celestial energy emanating from the Celestial Child, his speed was astonishingly quick, landing directly on the Imperial Child.
The force of that kick was tremendous. We watched as the Imperial Child staggered backward, seemingly on the verge of crashing into a pillar behind him.
"Wang Jun, I feel like even though the Imperial Child has regained his celestial energy, he still can't match the Celestial Child," Ruoxi said anxiously.
However, this was quite normal. I quickly reassured Ruoxi, saying, "Don't worry; the Imperial Child still has more moves up his sleeve."
As soon as I said this, the Imperial Child began to counterattack against the Celestial Child. It was as if he had regained his strength entirely, pushing back against the Celestial Child with surprising force. The Celestial Child showed no resistance whatsoever.
"Wow, is this a comeback for the Imperial Child?" Feng Ju exclaimed in astonishment at this scene.
"Yes, I didn't expect the Imperial Child to be so formidable when he fights back," I replied.
I continued to watch as the Imperial Child relentlessly pushed the Celestial Child backward. A look of anger appeared on the Celestial Child's face. Suddenly, I noticed a faint trace of dark energy emerging around him. My heart sank; something was off. Why would such a strange phenomenon occur with the Celestial Child? I turned to Ruoxi and asked her what was happening.
"Wang Jun, I don't know either; this is so strange," Ruoxi replied, looking just as bewildered.
I frowned; there was no reason for the Celestial Child to make any moves under Ruoxi's watchful eyes. The only possibility was that it had something to do with his master, the Celestial Tutor.
"Ruoxi, quickly take us to find that person who taught the Celestial Child his skills," I said seriously.
Seeing my expression, Ruoxi's face also showed signs of unease as she said, "Wang Jun, could it be my oversight?"
I shook my head; it wasn't the time to blame Ruoxi. I feared that more variables were about to unfold.
Ruoxi immediately led me and Feng Ju to a secluded backyard.
"Wang Jun, this is where the Celestial Tutor's Spell Master resides," Ruoxi said, pointing ahead.
My gaze quickly fell upon the room before us, and it didn't take long for me to realize something was amiss.
"This is the Ghost Gathering Cave," Feng Ju spoke up before I could.
"Yes, that's right. This is indeed the Ghost Gathering Cave. I never expected that someone associated with the Celestial Tutor would be practicing Evil Arts. No wonder such a scene appeared around the Celestial Child; it turns out that the one teaching him was planting Ghostly Aura within him, intending to use his identity to turn the Celestial Child into a demonic child and rewrite the fate of this world," my tone grew serious.
Upon hearing my words, Ruoxi was momentarily stunned, looking at me and Feng Ju in disbelief. "That can't be! If this person practiced Evil Arts, I would have sensed it. Why didn't I notice anything?"
I replied to Ruoxi, "It's not surprising that you didn't notice because this person employs an extremely yin cultivation Spell, and your constitution is also yin-oriented. With similar energies, you wouldn't be able to detect it. That practitioner of Evil Arts is simply too cunning; it has nothing to do with you."
Though my words were meant to comfort her, a hint of guilt still appeared on Ruoxi's face, leaving me feeling somewhat helpless.
"Wang Jun, let's go in and settle accounts with that person," Feng Ju said to me.
I shook my head; who would just stay in a room waiting for others to settle scores? This was likely an empty room now transformed into a Ghost Gathering Cave—extremely dangerous.
