The surroundings suddenly became obscured, as if a veil had been drawn over them.
I heard an ancient voice whispering in my ear, "Heaven-Defying Change, accepting the arrival of the Heavenly Mandate Emperor."
As soon as the words fell, I felt my body lift lightly into the air, and the environment gradually returned to its original state.
To my surprise, I found myself adorned in a Dragon Robe, and atop my head rested the imperial crown worn by ancient emperors.
What was happening?
Before I could comprehend it, I heard the voices of Ruoxi and Captain Wu nearby.
"Wang Jun, are you about to become the Heavenly Emperor?"
"Wow, little brother, you're amazing! This defiance against fate is incredible!"
I was momentarily stunned. Could it be that during the rewriting of destiny just now, I accidentally triggered something?
While I was lost in thought, I found myself transported to a place that exuded an air of authority, resembling a venue for the Celestial Assembly to discuss significant matters.
I landed in the seat designated for the Heavenly Emperor, with Ruoxi and Captain Wu flanking me. Just as I intended to rise, I realized I was being held down by a powerful force.
This surprised me. Just as I opened my mouth to speak, suddenly, various celestial beings filled the space below.
"Congratulations on your ascension to the throne, Your Majesty," the Celestial Assembly addressed me.
They all bowed deeply. The suddenness of this situation left me feeling somewhat disoriented; I had unexpectedly become the Heavenly Emperor.
"Wang Jun, say something!" Ruoxi urged me as she noticed my dazed expression.
"Yes, even Captain Wu is getting anxious," I thought to myself.
I snapped back to reality and looked at the Celestial Beings standing below me, a wave of emotions surged within me. I never expected to become the Heavenly Emperor.
"Everyone, please rise," I said to them.
Upon hearing my words, the Celestial Beings stood up one after another, looking at me with respect.
Suddenly, a beam of light descended from the heavens and landed before me—it was a decree.
As I took it in my hands and began to open it, the decree transformed into a stream of gas that entered my forehead. In an instant, a powerful force surged into my body.
This power was unlike any I had felt before; it was the strength of the Heavenly Emperor, capable of ruling over all realms.
I suddenly felt a wave of fatigue wash over me and sank down into my seat.
"Heavenly Emperor, are you alright?"
"Could it be that you're having some difficulty adjusting to the Divine Power of the Heavenly Emperor?"
"Yes, this power is incredibly strong. Moreover, the current body of the Heavenly Emperor is that of a mortal, so it's only natural that it cannot bear such weight. But there's no need to worry; it will pass soon."
I could hardly process their words; at that moment, my body and even my mind were in chaos.
"Wang Jun, are you okay?" Ruoxi's face turned pale instantly as she hurried to my side and reached out to wipe the sweat from my forehead.
I pushed Ruoxi away, feeling extremely uncomfortable. At this moment, countless forces clashed violently within me.
My head felt like it was about to explode. If this continued, I would surely die from the pain. I immediately used Divine Power to suppress these energies one by one and fused them into a single entity.
Once these powers fully belonged to me, the discomfort vanished instantly.
What surprised me even more was what happened next. In the next moment, two figures appeared before me.
I stared in astonishment at the emerging figures; they seemed to be models of a person.
"Wang Jun, what happened to you?" Ruoxi beside me looked utterly shocked.
I froze for a moment and instinctively touched my face. Instantly, a wave of surprise washed over me—my features were different.
I glanced at Captain Wu, who also wore an expression of disbelief.
"What happened to my face?"
Captain Wu's voice trembled as he spoke, "Little brother, why has your face changed to someone else's?"
His words left me completely stunned.
Just as I was about to look in a mirror, the Supreme Old Lord standing below stepped forward, bowed to me, and said, "Heavenly Emperor, there is no need to worry; this is quite normal. This is your true appearance. You have transcended your mortal form and entered the celestial realm. Because of your new identity, you naturally carry the aura of the Heavenly Emperor, which causes your appearance to change."
Taishang Laojun's words stirred quite a few emotions within me; however, I was still very curious about what I had become.
Taishang Laojun waved his hand, and a bright mirror appeared before me. The man reflected in the mirror was extraordinarily ethereal and exuded an exceptional aura. Every aspect radiated the presence of an emperor—completely different from my previous appearance.
"The Heavenly Emperor has just ascended; you should rest well to manage the Three Realms effectively. We shall take our leave now," Taishang Laojun said.
I thought so too, and waved goodbye to them as the Celestial Beings departed from this place.
"Wang Jun," Ruoxi called me cautiously, seeming a bit unaccustomed to my current appearance.
I nodded and said, "Don't worry, no matter what I become, I will always love you."
Upon hearing my words, a joyful smile spread across Ruoxi's face as she leaped into my arms. I glanced at Captain Wu, who also looked pleased for me.
"Little brother, we have truly endured hardships and now enjoy the sweetness. However, I must return to properly manage the Underworld. Once I'm done with my tasks, I'll come to find you in Heaven," Captain Wu said.
I understood that the Underworld needed thorough organization at this moment, and as the King of Hell, Captain Wu would be quite busy. Naturally, he couldn't stay. I nodded in agreement and replied, "Alright."
Soon after, Captain Wu left as well.
At this moment, only Ruoxi and I remained in the grand hall.
Our eyes met, filled with affection. I never expected that upon our reunion, there would be so much longing between Ruoxi and me.
"Ruoxi, once this busy period is over, I promise you a grand wedding. How about letting you be the Queen?" I said earnestly to her.
Ruoxi appeared surprised by my words and replied, "Wang Jun, are you serious? But being a Queen isn't something that can be taken lightly. To become a Queen requires the consent of the Celestial Beings, and given my lowly origins, I think it would be very difficult."
As she spoke, Ruoxi lowered her head, looking hurt.
Seeing her like this made my heart ache. I immediately embraced her and said, "No, I don't care about them. If they disagree, then I won't be this damn Heavenly Emperor!"
"Wang Jun, you can't say that! If you do something reckless like that, then I'll be the sinner!" Ruoxi quickly covered my mouth.
I looked at Ruoxi in confusion. The Heavenly Emperor could choose me, but he could also choose someone else. If he couldn't even choose his own lover, then what was the point of being the Heavenly Emperor?

I nodded and waved my hand, transporting us to the place where the Heavenly Emperor rested—Heavenly Harmony Palace.
Ruoxi's face instantly flushed. I gently laid her on the large bed and kissed her.

Ruoxi's lips tasted like honey, creating an addictive sensation. That kiss ignited all my desires, and I began to remove Ruoxi's clothes.
Before me appeared her delicate and flawless body. My heart raced with excitement; this was the first time I had such intimate contact with Ruoxi.
"Wang Jun," Ruoxi's voice turned sultry.
A shadow appeared in my eyes.
It was Ruoxi, but she was different from usual—she exuded more charm and allure. I pressed myself against her and entered her.
At that moment, Ruoxi officially became my woman. After a while, I held her in my arms and kissed her forehead, feeling satisfied as I embraced her.
"Wang Jun, I love you," Ruoxi said shyly as she nestled into my embrace, her cheeks flushed with a rosy hue.
