After a while, the strong wind finally subsided.
"I see who it is now; it's the Bird Tribe and the Beast Clan. My apologies for mistaking you for an obstacle," a deep male voice called out.
We turned to look behind us and saw a group of people flying toward us on clouds, their faces filled with provocation and clear hostility.
The Beast King was not someone to be trifled with. Upon hearing their words, he snorted coldly and glared at them, saying, "I see the Wind Tribe is causing trouble, aren't they? Although the Wind Tribe may be stronger than my Beast Clan, I wonder if they can take on both the Beast Clan and the Bird Tribe. Doesn't the Wind King know that I have already become kin with the Bird Tribe?"
At this declaration from the Beast King, we were all taken aback.
"Father, what are you talking about? What kinship do we have with the Bird Tribe?" Princess Dumeng's eyes revealed her strong disdain for the Bird Tribe.
The Beast King shot a glare at Princess Dumeng before turning to me and saying, "Have you forgotten? Before this, you acknowledged the Bird Tribe's Consort as your brother."
Princess Dumeng blinked in confusion, looking at the Beast King and then at me, seemingly asking what was going on.
I caught the Beast King's glance and immediately understood. I walked over to Princess Dumeng, and all eyes were on us. I subtly signaled her before speaking loudly enough for everyone to hear, "Have you forgotten? When you brought me back to the Beast Clan, you recognized me as your brother. You even said to let me protect you well."
Princess Dumeng paused for a moment before realizing, "Yes, I almost forgot until you mentioned it. Wind Tribe, don't push your luck."
With that statement from Princess Dumeng, everyone's attention shifted entirely to the Wind Tribe.
"What should we do?" someone whispered to the Wind King.
The Wind King scanned each of us before finally resting his gaze on me. "It's just a misunderstanding; we are all headed to the Spirit Martial Conference. Why make things so tense? Have you all forgotten the rules of the Spirit Martial Conference?"
With that, the Wind King led his group away.
"Wait a minute, when did your Beast Tribe become related to us, the Bird Tribe? This needs to be explained clearly. No matter what, we, the Bird Tribe, will never merge with your Beast Tribe," Wind King said, not long after he left, as Luan Bai jumped out and pointed angrily at the Beast Tribe.
Luan Yuan remained silent, his gaze fixed on me. His eyes felt like sharp blades piercing through my heart. I felt a bit guilty but still held Luan Yuan's gaze.
"What do you mean by that? Are you looking down on our Beast Tribe? What a joke! We haven’t looked down on you yet, and you’re already looking down on us," Dumeng Princess stood in front of Luan Bai.
Luan Bai seemed somewhat intimidated by Dumeng Princess and took a few steps back. "What, do you want to fight?"
Dumeng Princess rolled her eyes at Luan Bai and arrogantly replied, "Sorry, I don’t fight with the incompetent."
Luan Bai was infuriated by Dumeng Princess's words, his face darkening. However, with the Beast Tribe members present, he didn’t dare to do anything to Dumeng Princess. He knew he couldn’t defeat her.
For a moment, the atmosphere became tense.
At that moment, Luan Yuan stepped forward with a cheerful smile, appearing amicable as he said, "Alright, since we are all family now, let’s not ruin the harmony. Everyone, let’s go; if we delay too long, there won’t be any good rooms left."
After saying that, Luan Yuan led the Bird Tribe members away. Luanling walked up to my side and said, "Brother Wang Niu, let’s go too."
Just as I was about to speak to Luanling, Dumeng Princess came over and pulled me away from Luanling's grasp. "No way! My brother is definitely coming with us. Besides, I have things to discuss with him. You go ahead."
Luanling looked a bit wronged and pouted her lips in a way that was very endearing.
"Alright, you go first. I’ll find you later," I had no choice but to comfort Luanling.
"Okay, Brother Wang Niu! You must come find me," she said before boarding the Bird Tribe's flying vehicle.
Dumeng Princess snorted coldly, seemingly very interested in Luanling as she kept her eyes on her retreating figure.
I looked at the Dumeng Princess and smiled, saying, "Why are you always targeting Luanling?"
Upon hearing this, the Dumeng Princess immediately became furious. Her big eyes stared at me as she said, "What do you mean I'm deliberately targeting her? Let me tell you, don't be fooled by her appearance. She has a ruthless side that I've seen plenty of. If you get deceived by her, you'll have a lot to cry about."
After saying that, the Dumeng Princess flew away. I was taken aback; why was this woman so angry?
At that moment, the Beast King walked up beside me and said, "Consort, what Dumin said is not wrong. You've been deceived by someone from the Bird Tribe. This Luanling is not as simple as you think. Let's go."
I nodded and followed the Beast King to the designated location for the Spirit Martial Conference.
It was a large area with particularly interesting architecture—a circular building with an open space in the middle. Looking around, I could see there were indeed hundreds of rooms inside.
"Consort, you need to be careful. Once we get here, don't act alone. The other tribes here have their eyes on you; their hearts are very ruthless and not something you can handle, understand?" the Beast King said earnestly.
I nodded in acknowledgment. In just a short while, I noticed that the entire square was filled with people; it seemed like representatives from ten tribes had arrived.
At that moment, a series of drumbeats echoed around us, capturing everyone's attention. Everyone turned to look as an elderly man emerged from the large circular building in front of us.
I was taken aback; this old man looked like a tree spirit.
He had a plump and short stature, with roots growing from his head, making him appear quite strange. However, it seemed everyone held him in great respect.
Curiosity got the better of me, and I quietly asked the Dumeng Princess beside me. She shot me a cold glare, still seemingly upset about my earlier comment. Feeling helpless, I turned to the Beast King and quietly inquired about the old man.
The Beast King paused for a moment, his eyes revealing admiration as he said, "Consort, this old man is no ordinary elder. His name is Tree Sage; he is a unique existence and someone you cannot offend. The other tribes are quite wary of him. I remember there were once eleven tribes; one tribe offended him and was wiped out overnight. So, Consort, you must remember: do not offend this Tree Sage."
I was taken aback; I hadn't expected this old man to be so formidable.
I nodded and said I understood, and the Beast King nodded in satisfaction. At that moment, I heard the entire tribe chanting the name of this elder in unison.
The atmosphere was incredibly powerful, which surprised me. The Beast King nudged me and whispered, "Consort, hurry and bow to the Tree Sage."
I immediately responded and was about to bow to the Tree Sage when suddenly, a force rushed towards me, pinning me in place—it was the Tree Sage.
I looked at the Tree Sage before me and saw a smile on his face; he wasn't as fierce as I had imagined.
I wondered what the Tree Sage meant by this.
He walked towards me, and those around him quickly stepped aside. In an instant, all eyes in the crowd were on me. Not only that, but I also felt a strong pressure surrounding me, making it hard to breathe; it seemed to be coming from all directions—definitely from other tribes.
The Tree Sage seemed to sense something. He waved his hand, and my entire body instantly felt lighter. Then I heard several people groaning in pain. Confused, I looked around and saw some of them spitting out Black Blood.
The Tree Sage approached me and placed his hand on my arm, a clear smile in his eyes.
"Tree Sage, my Consort accidentally offended you. Please forgive him; he is not from our world and does not know your customs," the Beast King immediately stepped forward to explain on my behalf.
The Tree Sage turned his gaze to the Beast King and laughed, his laughter echoing around us.
The Beast King paused for a moment, looking puzzled as if he did not understand the Tree Sage's intentions.
