As we stepped out of the area, ten minutes had just passed. To be safe, we hid in a secluded spot and rested for a few moments. 0

“That was really close,” Captain Wu said, wiping the sweat from his forehead. 0

“Yeah, but why do I feel like there are more Yin Soldiers around?” I asked Xiaomei, glancing at the Yin Soldiers in front of us. 0

Xiaomei furrowed her brow and looked ahead. “It’s nothing. Once the sun is up, the Underworld will definitely conduct thorough checks. They worry that someone might take advantage of the daylight to slip into the Underworld. We just need to wait for this moment to pass.” 0

Soon, we saw many Yin Soldiers conducting inspections everywhere. 0

After a while, the number of Yin Soldiers in front of us decreased significantly. Before long, the Underworld returned to a state of calm. Xiaomei glanced around and turned back to us. “Let’s go.” 0

Captain Wu and I nodded and followed Xiaomei to the River of Forgetfulness. There were no Yin Soldiers guarding this place, which made me wonder if this was where the souls of those children resided. 0

“Xiaomei, are you sure we’re not making a mistake?” I asked her, still feeling uneasy. 0

Xiaomei nodded confidently. “We’re not wrong. Look, my bottle is glowing.” 0

As she spoke, Xiaomei raised the bottle in her hand. To my surprise, the tears inside had turned red, and the stars hanging over the River of Forgetfulness mirrored the color in her bottle. 0

“Little brother, look! The stars have changed too; they match the color in the bottle,” Captain Wu exclaimed in astonishment. 0

“Yes, this is called resonance,” Xiaomei explained. 0

I glanced at the stars above the River of Forgetfulness and then at Xiaomei's bottle, finally believing her words. 0

At that moment, Xiaomei lifted her bottle high into the air. Instantly, the red light inside became blindingly bright. 0

I instinctively closed my eyes. For a moment, we could no longer hear the cries of many children. 0

When I opened my eyes again, I saw that all the stars hanging over the River of Forgetfulness had transformed into children’s faces. I was taken aback as I watched the red light from the bottle seep out and split into countless red dots that flew toward those children. 0

In an instant, the entire Underworld was thrown into chaos, shaking violently. 0

"Everyone, be careful," Xiaomei said, her tone turning serious. "The souls of these children are about to be unleashed." 0

Just as Xiaomei finished speaking, the ground beneath us began to change, cracking open. 0

Terrifying fissures appeared, and I quickly moved aside. Captain Wu wasn't so lucky; he fell directly into one of the crevices. My heart sank as I shouted his name, but within moments, Captain Wu had vanished. 0

"Don't panic, I'll go save him," Xiaomei declared before leaping into the fissure. 0

My anxiety grew as I watched her disappear into the opening. The tremors had ceased, and the light from the children gathered together, forming the shape of a sword. I was taken aback as the sword suddenly shot off in a direction. Seeing that things had calmed down here, I rushed toward the fissure, but then something unexpected happened. 0

The fissure before me began to close. My eyes widened in shock—what would happen to Xiaomei and Captain Wu? 0

I tried to pry the fissure open but found it utterly futile; it had sealed shut. 0

My heart dropped as if I had fallen into an endless abyss. 0

What should I do? My mind was racing. 0

Just then, I heard a rumbling sound, like thunder. 0

I crouched down to listen; it seemed like something was stirring beneath the ground. A glimmer of hope sparked in my heart—Xiaomei must have found Captain Wu and was bringing him back! 0

Sure enough, a path exploded open in front of me, and Xiaomei emerged with Captain Wu. However, he looked unwell. 0

"Captain Wu, are you alright?" I rushed over to him, concern etched on my face. 0

Captain Wu was panting heavily, clearly exhausted. He shook his head weakly. Xiaomei rolled her eyes at him and said, "Stop pretending to be fine. He nearly died! Luckily I got down there in time; if I'd been any later, he would have been eaten by the Earth Serpent." 0

"What is going on? Why is there an Earth Serpent down here?" I asked. 0

"Earth Serpents are always found beneath the Underworld. They help maintain the Yin Qi within the Underworld. If the Yin Qi gets disrupted, it will affect the order of the Underworld," Xiaomei explained. 0

I finally understood that Captain Wu had already regained his Vital Energy with Xiaomei's help. 0

"So, did those children's souls come out?" Captain Wu glanced at the sky, noticing the absence of the children, and asked in confusion. 0

I nodded and confirmed it. At that moment, a golden light appeared from the direction we had just come from. 0

All our gazes turned towards it; it seemed to be coming from the place where Yama resided. 0

"Could it be that Yama has been subdued by those children's souls?" Captain Wu asked excitedly. 0

"No, this is the appearance of Heavenly Rules," Xiaomei replied to Captain Wu. 0

"Heavenly Rules," both Captain Wu and I echoed in unison. 0

"Yes, let's go take a look," Xiaomei said. 0

We hurried to Yama's residence. When we arrived, we saw Yin Soldiers lying all over the ground; they looked as if they were dead. 0

"What happened to these Yin Soldiers?" Captain Wu asked curiously. 0

"They were drained of their Continuation of Yinming and died," Xiaomei answered calmly, her gaze fixed ahead. I glanced at her before shifting my focus back to the Yin Soldiers. 0

In a moment, all the Yin Soldiers suddenly vanished. 0

"Wang Niu, look!" Xiaomei's voice called out to me. Following her point direction, I saw Yama being pulled out by a beam of light, pinned in mid-air, while countless children transformed into swords took on the forms of numerous small children. 0
The King of Hell appeared extremely flustered, as if he sensed his impending fate, struggling desperately. 0

The children uttered words we could not understand, and the King of Hell's complexion grew worse, as if he understood what the children were saying. 0

"What are they doing?" Captain Wu asked, puzzled by the children's lack of action. 0

"They are accusing the King of Hell. He refuses to admit his wrongs, so the anger from those children is growing stronger. I think the King of Hell's end will be quite tragic," Xiaomei replied. 0

Just after she spoke, I saw the children transform into sharp swords that charged towards the King of Hell. 0

His anguished cries echoed throughout the Underworld as if amplified by a loudspeaker. 0

In a matter of moments, the King of Hell vanished from our sight. 0

"What will happen to the Underworld now that the King of Hell is dead? It will surely descend into chaos," I suddenly recalled something and felt a pang of anxiety in my heart. 0

"Don't worry, everything is already arranged," Xiaomei said calmly. 0

"What do you mean?" I looked at Xiaomei's expression, feeling increasingly confused. 0

"Little brother, look over there! What is that?" Captain Wu exclaimed excitedly, pointing at something in front of us. 0

I paused for a moment and turned to see an object appearing before us that resembled a ring. 0

"What is that?" 0

"The Yin Ring. It represents the identity of the King of Hell. With this Yin Ring, one becomes the King of Hell. It was taken from him," Xiaomei explained. 0

Suddenly, the Yin Ring flew towards us, surprising me. Could it be that this Yin Ring was choosing one of us to become the new King of Hell? 0

I watched as the Yin Ring spun between the three of us but hesitated to land on anyone. 0

"What is it doing?" I asked curiously. 0

"It's selecting the King of Hell, and it might be him," Xiaomei said, looking at Captain Wu. 0

"Me?" Captain Wu was taken aback, his eyes wide open. 0

"How could Captain Wu be the King of Hell?" I was also surprised by Xiaomei's words; Captain Wu was clearly a person from the mortal realm. 0

"Look, the Yin Ring is hovering above Captain Wu's head," Xiaomei said again. 0

At that moment, we noticed that the Yin Ring was indeed resting on Captain Wu's head. 0

"Captain Wu, raise your hand above," Xiaomei suddenly said seriously. 0

Captain Wu was startled by Xiaomei's serious demeanor and, in confusion, raised his hand. Just then, the Yin Ring fell directly onto Captain Wu's hand. 0

I was astonished once more; what Xiaomei said turned out to be true. 0

Captain Wu had been chosen as the King of Hell. 0

At that moment, the Underworld underwent a tremendous transformation; everything became bright, and suddenly many Yin Soldiers appeared around us. They all knelt before Captain Wu, shouting long live the King of Hell. 0
