At this point, Ruoxi fell silent, gazing at me with a meaningful look.
Her gaze made me feel somewhat uneasy, so I asked her what the rules were.

I snapped back to reality, looking at Ruoxi in surprise. Logically speaking, the King of the Earth should be the most powerful; how could something happen to him? If something went wrong, wouldn't that throw the human realm into chaos?
Thinking of this, I recalled a scene from earlier on the mountain and wondered if the Ghost Gate Cult was currently disrupting order in the human world.
I asked Ruoxi what was going on.

The rule about cultivating in the Third World was revoked. This means that he must live as a mortal and experience all aspects of being human. Only after understanding life's truths can he awaken and manage the entire human realm."
Upon hearing this, I couldn't help but interrupt Ruoxi and ask where the King of the Earth was now and why he hadn't sensed that the Ghost Gate Cult was poisoning humanity.
After hearing my question, Ruoxi's expression grew even more sorrowful as she continued, "Earlier, didn't I tell you that something happened to our king? I asked Ruoxi if she knew anything about it.
Ruoxi nodded and said, "The King of the Earth has a total of twelve shattered souls. Once these souls are found, The King of the Earth will naturally return."
I looked at Ruoxi, suddenly feeling something strange. How could she know so much about The King of the Earth? I instinctively asked, "What is your relationship with The King of the Earth?"
Ruoxi's body stiffened slightly, appearing a bit unnatural. After a moment, she finally spoke, "He is my fiancé. As The King of the Earth, he also governs the Guardian Deities of every region. Our fated connection happened due to an unexpected incident. You don’t need to know about that. Go change into some clean clothes; I will be waiting for you at Qing Shui Pavilion. Someone will take you there."
After saying this, Ruoxi clapped her hands, and soon I saw several women appear. They gestured for me to follow them. I glanced at Ruoxi and felt that her attitude had changed too quickly. Then, I followed the women to a place.
Above it was written Fragrant Pavilion.
A woman dressed in red introduced, "This is your residence. Although you are married to the master, you cannot live together yet. You will stay here temporarily. We have already prepared clothes for you in your room; you can change into them. We will wait for you here."
I responded with an "uh-huh" and walked inside. As soon as I stepped into the room, I caught a faintly elegant fragrance that resembled bamboo.
I looked around the room's decor; it was very understated and had an artistic atmosphere.
A set of Sovereign clothing was laid out on the table. I picked it up and, for some reason, it gave me a feeling of ruling over all.

I was taken aback; just then, I noticed a mirror nearby. When I looked into it, I was stunned—the person reflected in the mirror looked like an emperor.
I was surprised; although the person in the mirror was me, the aura surrounding him was not mine. It was an unmatched presence that left me feeling puzzled.
At that moment, there was a knock at the door—it was the Leading Woman from earlier.
"Are you ready? The Ritual Activity is about to begin; please hurry."
Not wanting to linger any longer, I walked towards the door and opened it. The woman standing outside froze for a moment upon seeing me, then immediately became respectful and knelt before me, saying, "Greetings, my lord."
I was momentarily stunned, unsure of how to react, when the people standing not far away saw this scene and knelt down before me.
"You, you all can get up," I said to the women who had knelt.
Only after hearing my words did they rise.
I couldn't tell if it was because I was wearing this outfit, but their attitude towards me was particularly respectful. They led me to the Qing Shui Pavilion.
Afterward, they withdrew.
I looked around the Qing Shui Pavilion and saw that it was surrounded by peach blossoms. The pavilion itself was a loft adorned with numerous lanterns hanging from above. Looking up, I could see a sky full of stars, which was truly beautiful.
I pushed open the door of the Qing Shui Pavilion, and a refreshing breeze greeted me, bringing a particularly comfortable feeling.
The interior had an air of mysterious beauty, with various light bulbs hanging from above and a transparent spiral staircase in the center.
I glanced at the staircase; it seemed to lead upstairs. Since Ruoxi had asked me to come here, I couldn't be so rude as to go up without seeing her first.
At that moment, Ruoxi's voice came from above. "Come up; I'm waiting for you."
I was taken aback but ascended the staircase. Before long, I reached the second floor.
I expected there to be something on the second floor, but instead, it turned out to be an empty room.
I scanned the area but didn't see Ruoxi anywhere. I froze; her voice had clearly come from here. Just then, a pair of hands rested on my shoulders, startling me. I turned around and saw Ruoxi's beautiful face, which made me breathe a sigh of relief.
"You got scared," Ruoxi raised an eyebrow.
My face instantly flushed red as I quickly shook my head, saying it was nothing.
Ruoxi smiled at me and said, "Let me take you somewhere."
As the words fell, Ruoxi led me forward. I was momentarily stunned, wondering if she intended to take me straight into a wall. As we continued walking, a wall loomed ahead.
I couldn't help but remind Ruoxi, but to my surprise, she ignored me and kept moving forward.
I reluctantly closed my eyes, bracing for impact. I thought we would crash into the wall, but instead, we passed right through it. When I opened my eyes again, I found myself on a sky bridge.
Below was a dark mass that resembled people.
Where is this place?
Just as confusion filled my mind, Ruoxi stopped and released my hand. "Look," she said, "down there are the Citizens of the Madness Realm."
I blinked in disbelief and looked down again; indeed, they were people.
Ruoxi called my name, pulling my gaze back to her. She pointed toward a throne set upon the city wall ahead.
"Let's go there."
I nodded and followed Ruoxi to the throne. She helped me sit down, which felt oddly unfamiliar—like the sensation of an ancient emperor ascending to the throne.
